So as we are about to embark into 2024 and our year of fabulousness time for a new thread.

I’m going to begin in earnest next week when the gym is back open but I’m not eating as much this week and mucking out every day for fitness . Weirdly I’ve gone off sweet stuff, long may it last

25300 steps and a spin class yesterday. Gym Christmas party. 2 hours of dancing

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/01/2024 17:31

i mucked out today rather than the gym.
and did some garden clearing. Defo both upper body workouts which I needed.

asod is messing with my head. After showing 139 it’s put all my weight back on.

Battery?
Less fluids than usual, different food at weekend?

I'm up to 850mg twice a day of metformin hoping it won't upset my tummy too much. No exercise at weekend Sad

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2024 05:37

It’s something. Bastards.

hope tummy is ok

Back from class.

29.01 132.4lbs

Unimpressive but so is my exercise as I need some degree of fitness before that can make more of a difference.

Happierwithouthim · 31/01/2024 08:15

I am on TOM this is a new thing for me as I was 11 years without them. Yesterday I bought a share bar of Cadbury darkmilk salted caramel, had 3 squares and put the rest away, this needs posting as it's so unlike me to just have a portion and put rest away Grin

Scales hasn't moved either direction this week. I'm still bloated though so I'm hopeful.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2024 08:18

Wow that is some control happier

im feeling very out of sorts and fat and bloated.

I'd great plans for everything I'd get done while there was no horse riding yesterday, then ran out of steam so decided I'd be in bed early instead that didn't happen either and when alarm went off, I snoozed it twice which is not my style at all.

I'm feeling bloated too but at least I know the cause.
I've an appt for bloods tomorrow and going to ask for info about copper coil then. I'm on my third period now since seeing endocrinologist and I'm not going back to hormonal contraception. Have booked appt with doctor for two weeks time to put it in/get prescription for it if I need to see her first to do that.

Happierwithouthim · 31/01/2024 08:30

I'd have eaten a full Choceur almond bar on way home from Aldi on more than one occasion!

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2024 16:49

The bloating will pass but it’s awful while it happens. I think that’s part my issue as well today

Happierwithouthim · 01/02/2024 08:29

166lbs this morn and my tummy is still a bit bloated so happy with that. My endocrinologist appt is next week not end of month as I thought, not sure my bloods will be back in time so may have to reschedule appt.

My fitbit is definitely not recording properly. A regular walk we do takes around 65 mins, fitbit said 69 but bf had checked time before we left which made it 64.

Will try a live chat with them again. I don't want to spend money on one but if I'm going to be running I definitely want to track accurately.

Need to start having salads more

Gensola · 01/02/2024 08:31

That’s good happier tho sorry to hear you’re bloated, I hate that feeling.

I haven’t yet weighed since back from US today, suspect much salt/water weight and can feel fluid on my legs.

I need more fibre 😳 enough said lol

Happierwithouthim · 01/02/2024 11:09

gen That's also a horrible feeling, I usually have tuna & sweetcorn sandwich to try encourage things along Wink

Happierwithouthim · 02/02/2024 09:22

Bloat gone along with another 0.5lbs Grin

Gensola · 03/02/2024 21:39

Yass happier
I am down to 129.8 😄 and I’m not rounding up!

Happierwithouthim · 03/02/2024 22:10

You're dead right

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2024 08:16

Wahoo gen. I wouldn’t round up eother

hangon let me brave it

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2024 08:24

143 lost nothing

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 12/02/2024 09:45

How's everyone doing?

My exercise increased last week and food was ok except for the evening I had pop tarts for dinner & chipper for lunch Blush
I can't weigh because my scales is hidden behind 3 bin bags of clutter from dd's room, will retrieve it before end of the week

2024Hackathon · 12/02/2024 09:49

12.02 132.3lbs

Upside, the Peloton arrives today. In itself it won't make a difference but it is a shift in the ready access to an activity (if we both enjoy it, it's on a trial period).

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/02/2024 10:06

Eating to my calories isn’t suiting me as I’m not eating balanced food. I can tell cos my nails are awful. However last week I stress ate.
trying to do more fitness and eat better from yesterday.

ooo peleton how exciting

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 12/02/2024 11:21

Life I wonder if our nails are good and weak in cycles because I had great nails a few weeks ago and last week wasn't so good and now they're improving again. I haven't been consistent with taking collagen capsules either though

Gensola · 13/02/2024 17:33

Hack I’m selling my peloton 😄 hope you love it! I adored it in lockdown but prefer getting out to the gym. DH says any excuse to buy a fancy coffee lol.
I gained 3 pounds over party weekend weighing in at 132 this morning. Worth it for time with friends but presume it will come off fast as surely can’t be actual fat (?)
decided to cut booze out for lent to give myself a boost.

2024Hackathon · 13/02/2024 17:51

Gensola - I’m selling my peloton 😄 hope you love it!

Very much a later adopter here. I like gyms and having a trainer. It's trying to fit everything in round the family members who need considerably more care and assistance at present that is making it reasonable to see if the ready access makes it easier for us to flow round our own needs and those of others, IYSWIM.
