So as we are about to embark into 2024 and our year of fabulousness time for a new thread.

I’m going to begin in earnest next week when the gym is back open but I’m not eating as much this week and mucking out every day for fitness . Weirdly I’ve gone off sweet stuff, long may it last

I’m also fighting a cold which isn’t helping. Cancelled gym until Saturday.

All I want when I've a cold is carbs and chocolate, neither of which help with it at all and you barely taste the chocolate either Hmm

Wrap up and take care

I’m also fighting a cold which isn’t helping. Cancelled gym until Saturday.

I gained 30lbs since 1st lockdown started. Weight today 137.7lbs. I've lost touch with most of my activities.

It's horrible writing it down but very necessary.

I had my first strength and conditioning class of the year on Monday. I can still scarcely move faster than molasses so I am hoping to attend again on Friday. I managed a comparatively gentle session on the exercise bike (Level 1x1: level 2x5; level 3x3 (km)).

Gensola · 12/01/2024 15:16

Weighed today 132 - goal is 116. Got to the gym and have made good food choices.
PT has helped me make a 30 and 60 day plan which really helps focus me on making the good choices every day.

Byebyefattum · 13/01/2024 08:55

Ive had a bit of a roller coaster start. I did well for a couple of days and then I hit the chocolates ( big time). The last time I knew I didn’t want to, did it anyway and didn’t enjoy it and then felt really shit about it afterwards .talking thought it at work with a friend in the following days I honestly felt it was like an addiction. So I have decided to treat sugar/ chocolate as just that. I can’t even have a smidge because then all bets are off. Since adopting this mindset it’s been a bit easier: no picking at kids leftovers, no just having ‘a bit’ which always results in ‘a lot’.
am now on my fourth day of tracking using MFP and not eating choc. I hope it lasts! Otherwise I am absolutely stunned for ideas

Did the Mel Robbins 54321 to force myself out of bed this morning so I could get to the gym. Walked into town and had eyebrows down, so already on 7000 steps. Now need to prep for my interviews next week for a few hours but will get more steps at lunch.
my current goal is 12000 a day plus 4 weights sessions

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2024 18:09

did me weigh and measurements for a 6 week program starting Monday. Wasn’t as bad as anticipated. Still not brilliant

15 Jan Weight today 133.7lbs Looks like a loss of 4lbs but I suspect some of the greater weight might have been inflammation

I attended another strength and conditioning class today after spending the week walking like John Wayne.

I've managed time on the exercise bike most days.

This is all going to be much slower progress on the exercise front than I'd hoped but I have to be realistic.

Happierwithouthim · 15/01/2024 08:59

Best of luck with starting the programme life
Hack hopefully you won't be as sore after this class

I had some kind of bug yesterday where I felt ill & my bones hurt, so I'd nothing to eat from lunchtime onwards, spent most of the evening in bed except for serving dinner to dc & dropping ds's friend home, I feel ok today though.

Happierwithouthim · 22/01/2024 10:28

New low of 167.5lbs yesterday morning, delighted to get safely away from 12st marker. Exercise didn't feature much last week with the weather, hopefully this week will be better.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/01/2024 11:53

Fantastic happier.

I’m back to it as of today

I've a month until my next endocrinologist appointment so I'd like to have another bit lost for that. She put on my gp letter 2.5st lost, lose another 1.5, I presume that was a life goal rather than 3 month goal but I'm aiming to be at least halfway there for it.

I want to start back running too, will aim for that next month

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/01/2024 20:00

Going great guns happier.
I’ve got back to the gym and tracking

Still attending the 06:00 class…Less sore than I have been but still horrified by how out of condition I am.

Gensola · 25/01/2024 05:27

@Happierwithouthim 😂 love a bit of DOMs

@lifelongfrugaleer 5 pounds off is amazing!

132 this morning, down 1 pound. Still 4 pounds of pre Xmas weight. Gym then work, off to America at the weekend for a few days for this interview, need to stay away from the crazy portions!
