So as we are about to embark into 2024 and our year of fabulousness time for a new thread.

I’m going to begin in earnest next week when the gym is back open but I’m not eating as much this week and mucking out every day for fitness . Weirdly I’ve gone off sweet stuff, long may it last

It’s annoying when the asod messes with your head. Head totally makes it higher

I treated dtds to McDonald’s milkshakes today after dress rehearsal for tomorrow’s show. Managed not to order one for me! I’m focused and determined that May is the corridor month to summer and I must not waste the opportunity to lose weight!

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/05/2024 07:22

I’ve intended to go to the gym last 2 Mornings but so tired

No point pushing yourself too much and getting sick.

Scales frustratingly still the same.

Got waxing done yesterday so couldn't exercise but went to shop that has nice sides of salmon, and got that and ham for slow cooker, so food will be good this week.

Going to buy a strimmers this evening so that's more exercise in my future Grin

2024Hackathon · 14/05/2024 08:38

Bounce, bounce, I keep the bounce etc.

But, as above, decent BP and bpm. I

I continue to enjoy the Peloton. I'm am still in the basics and beginner levels for moving back into strength training. I know that I can't push it as it takes me a long time to recover from an injury.

At some point, I'd like to see scale victories as well as NSVs but impatience will do me no good.

Happierwithouthim · 26/05/2024 18:09

Scales is playing mind games with me.
Feeling good in my clothes.
Got lovely tomatoes during the week so salads have featured

2024Hackathon · 26/05/2024 18:39

I bounced up 4lbs after being very unwell for 36 hours. Now bounced down to being the usual weight then up again 2lbs today.

Peloton continues.

Gensola · 26/05/2024 18:41

I’m still 130-131 post leg surgery but hopefully start losing again once I can exercise 😄

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/05/2024 09:02

Did the Tuesday start happen, lifelong?

I'm same old bounce. And accepting the NSV that I ought to be very pleased by my invisibly responsive cardiovascular system.

I was in a Peloton on-demand class today that is (intentionally low intensity). I was there with some overlap with a chap who finished at x3 my output (cadence x resistance). The good thing about this was that I didn't let myself feel like a low or no achiever by comparison. I was pleased that I finished a 60min session and had been disciplined enough to follow the class plan.

Until I do something to markedly reduce my calorie intake or quadruple my exercise output (one of these is more feasible than the other), I just need to accept it's good that I'm still weight stable.

Happierwithouthim · 01/06/2024 10:55

Glad to see some activity(pardon the pun!) on this thread.

I've finally seen a new low on the scales after almost a month of nothing. 161lbs 11st 7lbs is a milestone 3.5stone or 49lbs gone from my body.

Once I'll get to 11st I'd like to leave ozempic behind me and continue with metformin I just must reintroduce it successfully, I'm three months not taking it now following a tummy bug.

I haven't run since Sunday feeling a bit sluggish/bordering on a headcold but haven't got one either. The dc are with their dad this weekend so the aim is to run 3 miles & 7 miles, did walk with dc on Tues & bf Wed however.

My friends have started doing PT sessions in a gym I used to go to, I'm thinking I might return to doing classes there a day or two a week at end of summer.

Food is relatively stable for breakfast & lunch, dinner game isn't strong at the moment though.

Hack sounds like you've found your thing with Pelethon & good that you recognise comparison is the thief of joy

Gensola · 01/06/2024 17:37

Congratulations on 49 pounds happier that’s amazing!!
I am 129 today - pleased not to have gained during my enforced lazy period 😂

This week is busy with the movers coming to take most of our stuff ahead of the move to USA, it takes 8 weeks to ship so they take it this week and we are camping in the house with very little, should be amusing, I’m back at work for a week and 2 days before my next surgery.

My leaving party from work is this week too, although I don’t finish there for another month or so. It’s all happening quite fast now!

Happierwithouthim · 01/06/2024 17:56

Gen it's amazing how little we actually need and what you can make do with if you have to.

I've actually 49 tattooed on my foot because I've lost that weight 3 times it was also the age I'd be when my mortgage was paid off if I'd stayed married. However this time losing it I've more to lose.

My next appointment with endocrinologist is end of August, will aim to lose 7lbs for then.

That's great not to have gained while sedentary.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/06/2024 20:15

nothing happening here except gain
you are all smashing it

I spoke too soon - 131 today 😂 joining hack in the bounce!

I did eat a lot of carbs yesterday so maybe it’s mostly water. I’ll do a walk today and see how I get on, have been so sedentary the past 3 weeks.

Happierwithouthim · 05/06/2024 08:26

Another drop this morning, was amazing to see 11st 6.75lbs on the scales, soon I'll be in the 150s club Smile
This has really given me a boost as it's now closer to 11st than 12st. And in the past I'd have been horrified to see 11st on the scales.

My garmin reduced my fitness age twice in past two days so I'm 41 and 3 months, it said 40.5 on Monday and yesterday pinged with 40. I know it's probably not very accurate but still nice to see it reducing.

I do feel fitter and more able with the reducing pounds and that's more important than any number on the scales.

Gensola · 05/06/2024 09:38

woo-hoo, congrats happier 🎉🍾🙌 I have photos being taken for work today, a shame I didn’t make it to goal but hey ho.
Our house is almost empty now, it feels almost zen 😅
I have a yoga class on Saturday so we will see how that goes on my leg, at least I can take it easy if I need to and just breathe.

i should hear back today about the times of my surgery next week, they said to expect it to be very early as I’m first on the list.

Happierwithouthim · 05/06/2024 11:48

Are the surgeries needed regularly Gen? Will you need medical care in the USA also? I hope you don't find an American mumsnet to replace us Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/06/2024 16:42

Fabulous work.

I’m back at the gym and trying to eat better and cut out crap.

All steps in the right direction

Happierwithouthim · 07/06/2024 08:27

NSV had so much room in my bras needed to buy new ones. Had previously been 36DD, had gone down to 36D, so bought that & 34D to try, 34D are perfect & got a 3 pack & matching underwear too.
Had noticed dds bra was too small & bought her next cup size up, she's now 32D at 14 years. They also fit her perfectly. Got a 3 pack so hopefully she'll always have a clean one now Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/06/2024 08:45

Fabulous NSV there

im between sizes and has to get 32&34 back bikinis. I’ve 28 days to lose some back fat
