Ignore that. I realise you need to start on 0.25. I can't find it anywhere Envy

I got mine at Health Express, they have stock.

Week 2 progress. Start BMI 32.7, current BMI 31.9 🎉🙌. Had our usual Friday night takeaway too, but it didn't undo the work during the week. Very pleased with progress given that I'm not doing any exercise or calorie counting, just trying to get more vegetables into my meals. I don't want to add extra pressure on myself or make it so difficult for myself that I then give up. The medication has stopped snacking and also sweet and savoury cravings. This what normal people must feel like after they eat a meal i.e. they then don't want to eat again for another 6 hours.

Anyone else logging progress today?

221BBakerSt · 12/11/2023 09:54

@Helene2019 that's great!

Today is my first day, I was very organised and remembered I’m away sailing in June so wanted to start on a day that worked best for the injections then. Am sat drinking lots of water! I have so much weight to lose, but baby steps. Today’s food: porridge with berries, orange juice, then if I fancy a small chicken salad wrap then mushroom stir fry. No snacking.

AhBiscuits · 12/11/2023 10:05

Well Done @Helene2019 that's great progress.

I am excited to start tomorrow. I don't work Mondays and the kids are at school so I have time to take some photos, do measurements etc. I will save everything to the secure folder on my phone. I'm hoping to get a good before and after picture, instead of adding to my collection of before photos which just show me getting steadily fatter.

I'll pop to Aldi later to get protein yoghurts, planning one of those for breakfast, soup for lunch and protein with veg for dinner.

Gingerlygreen · 12/11/2023 15:37

Pleased to hear it's going well for everyone, I'm on day 5 and so far it's working, I have zero appetite which is good but I'm finding it a struggle to eat.

I've bought some meal replacement shakes so have been mixing those and drinking them in one go so at least I'm having all the vitamins and minerals I need, just not many carbs or calories.

I feel great in myself though, I have energy and am sleeping better than ever.

Crazymadchickenlady · 12/11/2023 16:08

I ordered it yesterday from pharmacy4u for the first time. Hopefully it will arrive sometime next week. I have just worked out that 115 kilos is 18 stone 1 😳 so that’s my starting weight and I’m 5‘6 BMI is 41!! I can hardly tie my shoe laces anymore and get breathless walking up hills or going up steps. I have been putting on about 10 pounds a year and this has to stop. Anyone know how long it will take to arrive?

MyGodMyThighs · 12/11/2023 16:13

We’re starting at about the same weight @Crazymadchickenlady.

I ordered mine from Health Express and it’s coming on Tuesday so hopefully Pharmacy2u is about the same for delivery times.

Crazymadchickenlady · 12/11/2023 16:27

@MyGodMyThighs it seems like a long journey back down to 10 stone!! My order still says it’s being processed. Presumably needs a doctor to check it in working hours. Hopefully they have stock and send it soon though I have loads of Christmas meals coming up so is not really the best time to start.

Gingerlygreen · 12/11/2023 18:22

@Crazymadchickenlady I ordered mine from Asda last Sunday evening and it arrived Tuesday morning, your order will probably be dealt with and posted tomorrow and arrive Tuesday.
Keep checking your emails though, I'd missed one saying they had my order and needed a photo with my feet on my scales to prove my weight and a full body photo before they could approve it and anything after 3pm would result in it being posted the day after

Crazymadchickenlady · 12/11/2023 19:45

Thanks for that. I’ll take a photo of the scales tonight and a full body photo as I’m at work tomorrow.

EweCee · 13/11/2023 08:37

I got a bikini out that I loved in the past and am keeping it out as motivation. Its too small now but better than 5 weeks ago when I was 8kg heavier!!! So moving in the right direction. I do feel my weight loss has slowed a little since going on the 0.5 injection but thats to be expected I guess. I am back at work too and finding it harder to drink as much water and also to not eat as much - so work is a trigger 🙃

Hello, can I join? I'm waiting for Boots to deliver my 0.25 pen, was surprised I was able to use Boots. I think they were only allowing previous patients to switch to Wegovy, but I tried Friday night and it allowed new patients to sign up. I'm looking forward to getting started, my sister has been on Ozempic in the States and has done well! She had tips for dealing with side effects.

FiveCows · 13/11/2023 08:48

Morning all! This is day five for me and I am 4lbs down. Feeling good, not particularly hungry, had a mild headache days 1 and 2 but that is resolved.

I have definitely noticed a significant improvement in blood sugar swings, which I suffered a lot with before. I had a gastric bypass 5 years ago and for the past 3 years have had really significant hypos about two hours after eating. I have been having to take snacks everywhere because it sometimes got very low quite fast. I’m feeing SO much better with stable blood sugar.

I am hoping, if this improvement continues, to go to my GP and let her know that Wegovy has been really helping with this. Maybe I will be able to get it on prescription?

rileynexttime · 13/11/2023 09:07

So much here that resonates with me . I too would want to keep this to myself.
Need to work out how to make payments without partner being aware . Joint bank account . Any ideas ?
Can't believe I'm posting this Blush feel like a criminal.
Sigh .

That's tricky. What do you do about buying birthday presents and such? It's going to be a difficult secret to keep where finances are completely joint.

My pen is hidden in the back of the fridge drawer under some vegetables. I will tell my husband eventually if it goes well and I stay on it, I just don't want him being all doom and gloom before I've even given it a go.

First injection done this morning. Fine but the injection site is a bit stingy. I've taken some underwear photos 😣, weighed myself, measured my waist. I need to lose 44lbs to be a healthy weight. Let's do this.

AhBiscuits · 13/11/2023 09:35

I've added loads of mini goals to my weight loss spreadsheet. Breaking it into chunks will hopefully make it more manageable.

I was accepted this morning by pharmacy2u. No photos were needed. I haven’t told my husband either but I’ve got my own credit card and while he sees the total come off our joint account each month he can‘t see what each individual purchase was.

I like this goal list. I'm focusing on each 0.5 BMI reduction as a goal. I have 4 stone to loose to be a healthy BMI which frankly is an overwhelming amount 😱. Which is why I'm choosing to focus on getting to each 0.5 BMI point loss.

Cuzco · 13/11/2023 13:52

I've been reading the NICE info and Patient Information Leaflet and I think I'm going to place an order. I was initially a bit put off, worried about side effects!

Mind if I ask, those of you who are suffering, is it manageable as part of day to day life? I've got two small kids and a FT job. I'm slightly worried that I'll have to quit before I get going properly if the side effects aren't manageable.

You were lucky, I tried Saturday and it was existing patients only! I've managers to get it from Superdrug but had to go into down and pick it up which is annoying, they wouldn't deliver it.

I'm now just waiting for them to deliver it! Hopefully I can pick it up tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm worried about stock levels, and being able to move up in doses when I need it, but here's to trying!

I've not really had any side effects apart from massively reduced appetite.

Bit of mild constipation but that's to be expected with it slowing down our digestive system. Im not sleeping too great but that could be down to many things, not necessarily Wegovy. You will probably be absolutely fine.

Shewhobecamethesun · 13/11/2023 20:09

I've never been more grateful to be on Wegovy then I was today. I left my lunch at home, and the staff canteen is closed on Mondays, so I went the whole day with just 4 Percy pig sweets and a cereal bar. And you know what? I was absolutely fine.

Not that I recommend going all day on nothing, but it's good to know it's no longer the end of the world if it happens

FiveCows · 13/11/2023 20:56

Yeah I know exacting what you mean @Shewhobecamethesun . I had a change of plan today which meant I didn’t have anything to eat till nearly 2pm. I then had a protein shake that I had left in the car and was fine till dinner.

I wonder if this is what life is like for those who have never had weight issues?
