If they send me a 0.5mg pen I might have to take just 0.25mg doses to make it last for 8 weeks and not order any more. It's just so expensive. Has anyone reduced from 1mg to 0.25mg - did it still work?

A part of me wonders if this is some sort of ploy to 'mythologise' the product and justify the huge price hikes which probably won't come down any time soon, if ever...Hmm

Barrystea123 · 17/07/2023 18:04

I don't know what to do regarding the myjuniper options presented today, offering the half dose at the same price, I asked them how to justify charging that! I feel so sad that I've invested so much to get up to the full dose and now it's not an option anymore.

WeightInLine · 17/07/2023 18:27

I don’t think the cost of the pens is changing, just the dose? So the 0.5mg is the same cost?

Prettybubblesintheair · 17/07/2023 18:49

I’m not at all happy with the options presented. If they can only offer 0.5mg they should be giving either a huge discount or two pens! I refilled this morning before the email so I’m expecting a pen tomorrow but don’t know if it’ll be a 0.5mg or a 1mg. Will update tomorrow.

So they've upped the price of the 0.5mg dose so it's now as expensive as a 1mg one would normally be? That's so sneaky!

TheWayOfTheWorld · 17/07/2023 19:38

No - the 0.25, 0.5 and 1 have been £225 for the last while. Obvs if you're on 1 and now having to go down to 0.5 it's going to feel like you're being overcharged, but the price is the same for each of those 3 pens.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 17/07/2023 19:44

I've also refilled this morning and seem to have confirmation that 1mg is on it's way only to then get the options email this pm. I'm hoping I've managed to get through before they ran out as if they have just shipped the different dosage without notice I wont be impressed.

Sugarplumfury · 17/07/2023 20:33

I asked juniper if they'd be able to send 2 of the 0.5 mgs per month and offer a discount but they said they can't do that as they have to distribute pens fairly among all their customers.

HolidayHappy123 · 17/07/2023 20:59

Thank you @WeightInLine .

I understand this is what’s commonly known as sulphur burbs and it’s just awful. I’ve just flown back to the UK and my friend kept complaining about a funny egg smell on the flight and my cab driver opened all the windows on the drive home.

i really can’t feel like this on a long haul flight next week and I’m wondering if I should drop back to 0.5ml until this settles.

I emailed them asking which had been sent 1mg or 0.5mg and they replied, I’ve attached screenshots. Not clear but they’ve cancelled my plan which isn’t what I wanted!

I had this with health express last month. Infuriating

SwimmingFree · 17/07/2023 21:43

I've had the juniper email too, have been a customer since January. I got a 1ml pen last week. I lost nothing while on my 2 months 0.5, weight has been consistently dropping since I went up to 1ml. Its disappointing, I'm not sure what to do.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 17/07/2023 23:29

This is the email I got this morning. It looks like the 1mg is on the way but I've sent them an email to clarify.

Circa1840 · 18/07/2023 08:00

Gosh, had missed the email from them. I was due to have a 1mg pen sent this Fri. I have just clicked on the refill now button. I will have to make do with the .5 and see what happens. I'll use it as a .5 see what happens to the weight.
I have been very lax. Lost 1lb in the last 10 days, so this hopefully will make me get back into the zone. I did say that when they upped the price to 225.....
I have lost 2.5 stone since end of Feb. I feel fantastic but I need to shift another stone really. Perhaps this is the kick up the ass some of us need.... we were all getting a bit comfortable?
Best of luck to everyone. Just hope the 0.5 keeps in circulation because of the increased demand.....

MiniCooperLover · 18/07/2023 08:40

I didn't see an obvious link in the email in terms of re-ordering, I got the impression that if I did 'nothing' then I'd just get sent the 0.5 automatically?

Pineapplepansy · 18/07/2023 09:12

Hope it's ok to join in here. I'm a couple of months in now and so far so good - clothes are looser and feeling much better about myself and starting to get a bit of confidence back.

Candyfloss99 · 18/07/2023 09:35

I'm so disappointed I went through all the titration doses with juniper while barely losing and have just started losing on 1mg and now they can't provide it. I feel like the whole thing has been a waste of money. I presume people can't get the 1mg from anywhere now?

Circa1840 · 18/07/2023 10:08

@MiniCooperLover there is a button on your order page. You can either order now or delay a week. I just pressed order now. It still says its for a 1mg pen. And I have had the email from DPD to say they are expecting a parcel. Money has been taken out of my bank. Fully expecting a .5 but it would be a Nice surprise

It is getting harder and more expensive but there are lots of places out there. Quick Meds eek them out at 6pm ish some days. Fastest fingers first!

leilani83 · 18/07/2023 11:39

I just received a 1mg pen from Juniper, must have been one of the last ones - phew! I'm going to take it in 0.5mg doses and make it my last one! Good luck everyone - maybe some of us could start a post-Ozempic thread come September?

Kfjsjdbd · 18/07/2023 11:58

I got 1mg from Numan a couple of weeks ago, and haven’t had anything from them to say my next dose won’t be 1mg. Fingers crossed!

MiniCooperLover · 18/07/2023 12:23

Circa1840 that's all greyed out on my page, it just says they'll be in contact (which they have to be fair).

Kfjsjdbd · 18/07/2023 14:54

Bury Healthcare have 1mg but selling for £300.

Prettybubblesintheair · 18/07/2023 15:09

So I think anyone who ordered before the email with juniper will receive 1mg. As I posted yesterday when I emailed and asked for clarification and yesterday they cancelled the order and refunded me. So I emailed again and asked what had been dispatched as if it’s 1mg I still want it! He replied today saying the pharmacy have confirmed they have 1mg reserved for me and do I still want it so I said yes. They refunded my payment so took another which has left a big dent in my bank as it hasn’t gone back in yet but at least I’ve got 1mg on the way. That’ll give me two pens so two months worth and then I’ll see where I’m at. I’m not opposed to trying rybelsus is that’s easier to source in a couple of months but we’ll see what supplies are like then. I’d love to think we’ll get wegovy but I doubt it.

Teddypops · 18/07/2023 15:11

Has anyone used Bury Healthcare? Why is it direct payment to their bank, that's weird.
