Yes my hair is constantly falling out! It's all round the house. Small price to pay though haha I've lost 50lbs so far.

Sugarplumfury · 12/08/2023 19:51

Yes I have a feeling my rightangled order was late morning, early afternoon but not 100% sure. I’ve got a message to review them on Google in return for 10% discount code for next order.
My thin hair patches are getting harder to conceal. I’d just got it as good as I could get it with iron tabs for ferritin and Vit D as both were v low. But as I’ve had so few other side effects and am not far off goal weight, it’s fair collateral damage.

UsernameFail · 13/08/2023 08:27

I think when I've purchased or seen available at Rightangle it's just before 11am so worth checking around there.

Re hair loss - very interesting. I've noticed I'm shedding like a labrador

My friend who had a gastric sleeve last year said her only side effect was losing thick luscious locks

UsernameFail · 13/08/2023 08:28

@SmileLikeUMeanIt that's an unbelievable weight loss!! Congratulations

SmileLikeUMeanIt · 13/08/2023 08:35

Thank you! Bit concerned now because I'm trying to wean myself off it, can't justify these price hikes. I've got one full pen left and one dose of the previous pen, still got another 30ish pounds to goal weight.

Peridot1 · 13/08/2023 08:54

I’m weaning myself off too @SmileLikeUMeanIt. I have two stone to go to get to my goal of 11 stone. Have plateaued a lot. I think I need the higher doses of Wegovy potentially but will wait to see if it ever launches here. In the meantime I have just signed up for a two week trial of Noom to see if weaning off Ozempic with Noom helps. I know even after Ozempic or Wegovy I will need a plan for food and exercise so I’m hoping doing it now will get me into a good place for long term keeping the weight off.

Hi all, well done everyone, all coming out with amazing losses. I haven't had the hair loss but I am looking into collagen powders... for energy (i feel zapped of it most days)and hair and nails etc.
So I am due to take my last 1mg injection today. I managed to get one of the last 1mg pens from Juniper. Next pen being sent Mon and assuming it's a .5
So I started at the end of Feb and have lost 2 stone 11. I am the smallest I have been for about 11 years. I have gone from size 16 to a 12. I am over the moon. (Interestingly my BMI is still overweight!)I will be injecting the .5 each week and I am hoping to at least plateau! Will remember the water. I am terrible at drinking water so hopefully that will keep me on the straight and narrow. So it's an early titration down for me. I was hoping for another couple of months at 1mg. I will let you know how I get on.

SmileLikeUMeanIt · 13/08/2023 09:58

I'm on 0.8 at the moment but going to go to 0.5 for the last pen I think. I'm not sure I need a higher dose, I'm rarely actually hungry but I still crave crap. I did actually try noom before ozempic but I couldn't get on with it, hopefully it will suit you better.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 13/08/2023 12:40

I've stayed on 0.5 apart from one week when I went up to 0.75 and had nasty sulphur burps. I lose slowly but steadily and v easily on 0.5.
I use a 1mg pen to get 8 doses and have 4 more weeks left. Undecided yet as whether I will then come off it until supply issues or alternatives are available. Or to fork out 225 (my current refill process with juniper when I look on the app) for a month worth of additional doses, maybe going back down to .25 with it to wean myself off.

Twilightstarbright · 14/08/2023 08:11

Rightangled have 1mg in stock for £299 plus delivery, cheapest is £4.99. You pay by credit card which I prefer as I know there’s protection.

Twilightstarbright · 14/08/2023 08:12

Also I hit 30lb off this morning after a plateau for three weeks. Feel so happy and proud of my efforts.

Circa1840 · 14/08/2023 08:41

@Twilightstarbright I got one. Thank you. Very easy. So now have this and a .5 arriving from Juniper.

UsernameFail · 14/08/2023 09:51

@SarahC50 see messages below. Looks like Rightangled have stock (although I personally have not checked)

UsernameFail · 14/08/2023 09:51

@Twilightstarbright that's an unbelievable weight loss! What changes have you made to your diet?

SarahC50 · 14/08/2023 10:35

I see they have stock thankyou but they contact your GP first which I didn't realise,I'd rather my GP didn't know so I've not ordered. Fab they have 1mg in stock though x

Twilightstarbright · 14/08/2023 11:24

@UsernameFail thank you. In general I have a slim fast shake mid morning (or Huel or a protein shake), soup at lunch and a small portion of whatever I’ve made for the family dinner. I’ve cut back massively on alcohol. We eat out less but I went for brunch on Saturday and I had scrambled eggs and avocado on toast.

UsernameFail · 14/08/2023 11:46

You can click on a button to say you don't want them to contact your gp @SarahC50

Thanks for letting me know what you've changed in your diet @Twilightstarbright at the moment I'm having 'homemade' protein yoghurt, soup or salad for lunch and then a much smaller portion for dinner. I'm always looking for inspiration for what else I can eat

leilani83 · 14/08/2023 13:17

Sorry if this has been covered already but have you had any problems at taking Ozempic through airport security control? Including the needles. I don't have a prescription.

Peridot1 · 14/08/2023 13:24

I’ve taken it through a few times with no issues @leilani83

leilani83 · 14/08/2023 13:26

Fab, thanks!

WhyDoesItAlways · 14/08/2023 13:46

I'm with juniper and asked them for a copy of my prescription which they emailed over along with a travel letter.

I'm planning on putting the needles in my suitcase though as wasn't sure if they were considered a sharp object.

MiniCooperLover · 14/08/2023 13:57

WhyDoesItAlways I've always put the needles in the luggage going in the hold, I don't think it's worth it really. But if you are hand luggage only keep them with your prescription.

Re the OP who said they didn't want their GP to know, I felt like that too but now I've had to be honest since I started having gallbladder issues and even if they are judging me certainly to my face they've been non-judgemental and said it was essential they knew when trying to treat me.

Diedre44 · 14/08/2023 14:08

I'm curious as to why anyone makes the choice not to inform their GP they're on OZ? Absolutely no judgement whatsoever, completely understand it's personal preference. I choose to let them know more so they can see it's obviously working for me. I've been backwards and forwards for almost 20 years, was prescribed Reductil many moons ago, been prescribed slimming world, weight watchers, free gym the lot. Never been referred to a dietician despite having a BMI of over 45 however. I suppose it's more of a sticking two fingers up and in the hope that it does eventually become available on NHS for obesity they are aware how long have been taking it and it works.

I haven’t seen in a gp in about five years! I have quite mild asthma and don’t currently have an inhaler, but it’s been playing up a bit when I’ve been running with my chest tight etc and not being able to catch my breath. I cannot get an appointment for love nor money. I’ve never even set foot in the surgery I’m currently registered with.
