Can I ask how much the 1mg pen was and what time of day did you manage to order it x

TheGoodEnoughWife · 11/08/2023 00:01

The 1mg from RightAngled is £299 and they come up at random times in my experience.

Has anyone who has been on Ozempic for more than a couple of months had a random bad side affect week? I am four months in but this week has been all headache and sickness with actually being sick? Not had that much in the way of side effects before?

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 11/08/2023 00:10

Rightangled are asking for a full body pic, do they do that with everyone or just new customers? Or do you have to hit a certain criteria to be asked that? I'm not super comfortable about it but I'll do it if I have to. Will a mirror selfie do?

I'm in month 5 and very happy so far + giving it my all, only went up to 0.75 one month ago, side effects have been very manageable BUT if I have too much carbs and/or fat in a meal (ie a few pizza slices last week with some wine at a party) I don't feel right and get a dodgy tummy.

nebulae · 11/08/2023 00:55

@VanellopeVonSchweetz99 I ordered from Rightangled last week and they didn't ask for a photo. Just a copy of my driving licence as ID.

Sugarplumfury · 11/08/2023 09:30

I was very surprised to only be asked for proof of ID only from Righthangled. I gave weight/height and answered the medical questions about health conditions/medications and that was it. Juniper wanted far more than that. Literally could have answered any random height, weight on Rightangled. It did ask if you’d taken Ozempic before and what dose. I also put in the comments that I’d been on the 1mg pen from Juniper and was doing well but they could only get .5 pens at the moment. But again, I could have just made that up. It seemed very lax .

Sugarplumfury · 11/08/2023 09:33

Thegoodenoughwife. I was pretty much ok till I moved to 1mg and then randomly suddenly felt sick. My main side effects throughout has been dreadful constipation (but I have problems normally anyhow) and fatigue.

TheGoodEnoughWife · 11/08/2023 09:48

Thanks. I think my eating has been a bit off and maybe I have a cold on top.
I have just achieved 50% of my target weight loss so very happy about that! Just feel a bit shit lol.

Sugarplumfury · 11/08/2023 09:50

You’re doing really well Thegoodenoughwife. I feel very tired and a bit weak. I think I’m going to try eating little and often like I did at first. I hope your cold is better soon. That won’t be helping feeling a bit bleugh, I’m sure.

UsernameFail · 11/08/2023 10:16

I had to submit a pic with all suppliers including Rightangled. I'm surprised others are not being asked for pics.

I think with the likes of Juniper and Manual - they're actually selling a weight loss company slimming programme and might be more thorough.

Stepped on the scales today (a day earlier) and had a healthy loss for the first time in ages. It was my first full 1mg dose from two months at 0.5mg and two weeks at 0.75mg.

Fingers crossed this is the start of a decent weight loss for me

UsernameFail · 11/08/2023 10:18

Congrats @TheGoodEnoughWife on your weight loss - you must be feeling incredible. What major changes have you made to your diet?

@VanellopeVonSchweetz99 I've ordered from them and was asked for a full-length pic. I'd already told them I'd been on it since Feb with Quickmeds but could not get any more from them. I also had a totally different issue the second time I ordered from them (not a medical issue) and they called me to discuss it. All in all I found them very helpful and professional.

TheGoodEnoughWife · 11/08/2023 14:55

@UsernameFail I am just not bothered about food. There fore my intake has gone right down. This week has felt the worse for side affects but I think I might be under the weather anyway.

Apart from that I do feel hungry but get full quickly. I might 'fancy' something but a little bit is enough. It has been and continues to be life changing for me. Maybe this is how other people feel?

I am now the lowest weight I have been for 8 years. Not far off the lowest weight for about 20 years. Will I keep it off? I don't know. I am trying to be much more active. I am interested to see if the 'nothing feels as good as being slim feels' is actually true. It is so long ago that I have actually been slim I have no reference point!

Andrasa · 11/08/2023 15:13

Hit a solid plateau for the last two-three weeks, which is very annoying as I’m only 2kg off my target weight and was hoping to reduce my dosage. It may be because I’ve increased the miles I’m running, I do find more exercise seems to freeze my weight loss while I adapt.

did feel like the 1mg was wearing off a bit as my appetite wasn’t low anymore and found myself thinking about biscuits regularly, but started a new pen and that’s all stopped.

I’ve now lost 14kg and am sitting at 64kg, which on me is about a size 12. My waist size is still within the risky category as I have a serious pcos apple shape and I was hoping that would drop more, so not sure 2kg is enough to keep me at a healthy weight for my shape.

going to continue to October as I have an all inclusive holiday booked and don’t want my appetite to suddenly reawaken in time for that!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 11/08/2023 16:11

@Andrasa - I'm also in a weight plateau although my shape has continued to change as I exercise.

Its clear to me that I should have gone up to 1mg, instead I had to come down to 0.5 (from 0.75) to extend my supply. I have 10weeks at 0.5 left and I'm hoping I break the plateau in that time - if not at least I'm not gaining.

Trying to make the most of what I've achieved since March (40lbs down) and not throw that away.

Teddypops · 11/08/2023 20:07

For those plateauing don't forget that drinking 4 pints of water a day will shift it. I didn't believe it at first but I then lost half a stone in 2 weeks. Your body needs water to expel the fat cells.

Any opinions on sparkling water making up some of the 4 pints?

@Assert150 Zoe has some good info on water intake and why it's so important. They also say that it's liquid that matters not water, so sparkling water, tea, coffee, and even fruit can all play a part, though sweetened liquid is discouraged obviously. Also there's no scientific evidence that xxx amount a day is needed. https://joinzoe.com/learn/does-drinking-water-lower-blood-sugar#how-much-water-a-day

Diedre44 · 12/08/2023 09:07

Has anyone noticed any hair loss at all as a side effect? I'm 5 months in and over the last 2/3 weeks I'm shedding like a Labrador. I've read previously that rapid weight loss causes inflammation which loosens the follicles etc. Don't get me wrong it's not like I've got balding spots or anything and have very thick full hair it's just very noticeable on clothing especially. I can run my hands through and there's at least 20 strands every time lately. A little 🤢 but I've decided to keep/collect for the next few days for reference. I've ordered a biotin supplement and some plantur shampoo see if that helps.

Sugarplumfury · 12/08/2023 09:13

Diedre I’m 4 months in and my hair is thinning . It’s already thin and fine so can’t afford the extra loss. I’m upping protein and will get some biotin too. I read that it’s not uncommon as well .

Diedre44 · 12/08/2023 09:18

@Assert150
I've just bought a soda stream for this reason. I much prefer it to store bought/branded sparkling water doesn't seem as "spiky" on the tongue, much nicer. Carbonated water is apparently better for you
e
It's also really helped me with the dreaded sulphur burps.

Why You Should Drink Carbonated Water

I feel so much better when I drink carbonated water vs. regular water, and I think I know why. Check this out!Video on CO2: ▶️ https://youtu.be/DtVj-U2hU7k ...

Do we need a new thread ladies?

SarahC50 · 12/08/2023 11:32

Is there a time of day that people have managed to get their 1mg pen from right tangled I've been trying the last few days with no joy.

Yes month five and my already thin hair is shedding rapidly x

mumwheresmyribena · 12/08/2023 13:40

I've got fine hair but lots and lots of it. I'm 6 months in and yes, I do lose a lot but I always have. It just never makes a noticeable difference to the hair in my head. I've been taking biotin since day one.

mathis2006 · 12/08/2023 14:10

@SarahC50 I would say try between 11am and 1pm

SarahC50 · 12/08/2023 15:52

Thankyou @mathis2006 I'll try again tomorrow x
