Precious thread is here ... Louise Parker method anyone? I know it's a bit old fashioned now .. http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/4517125-louise-parker-method-anyone-i-know-it-s-a-bit-old-fashioned-now

Just a place to chat about the method, the ups and downs and how it works etc.

I personally have just completed the first 6 week Transform phase and have lost 18 lbs. Not quite 'transformed' yet but on my way Grin

Food for me so far today:
Eggs, avocado and rocket on wholemeal toast.
Salad made up of all vegetables I could find, a bit of halloumi, dash of oil and vinegar.
2 babybel and 2 oat cakes.
A sausage (slightly random I know!)
Tonight DH is roasting something so I will have that and the veg but not the potato.

Hi @HardRockOwl and @ElvenDreamer
I'm still here 👋 ! Just keeping on keeping on and having a few too many steps out I'd the circle tbh. Food today:

B: Greek yoghurt with nuts & blueberries
S: 8 almonds and a mini cheese
L: sourdough toast and more cheese 😳
S: FroYo
D: picnic bits including falafels, scotch egg, hummus, quiche without the pastry, salad

Megasaur5keeper · 07/08/2022 21:40

Evening. Bursting digital detox and early bed to chuck things out.

B- pancakes with berries compote and ricotta cream
S- cocoa almonds and apple
L- beans pesto soup
T- roast chicken broccoli and quinoa salad from the Ruby quinoa salad recipe in 6wp. Husband cooked it. It was not fluffy separate grains. It was OK with eyes closed but a but like porridge...

Old leggings and I went to sh'bam. I'm trying to find clothes for tomorrow to lay out and be organised but I am here instead. Ho hum. As long as I avoid stories on Instagram or lists on buzzfeeed Facebook I count this as q win.

ElvenDreamer · 08/08/2022 10:28

Morning all, have started the day with a lovely breakfast, I went the full LP style and made it look pretty and everything! I tend not to have too much variation as mornings usually a rush but in the school holidays I try and vary it on the odd morning. Today was a recipe from Nosh Vegan, slightly blurring the edges of the circle with the use of cacao powder but other than that, all good!

@Megasaur5keeper I think that counts as a digital win, every little helps. Hi @NinetyNineRedBalloonsGoBy good to see you're still here, I too am tending to overdo the cheese options!

S: ice cream (still out of the circle)

L- beany soup
S- egg soufflés with cheese and red onion
S- cheese and cherries
T- ratatouille with egg and feta

Rollerskates arrive today. I'm very excited by this!!!

Plainandsimple · 09/08/2022 13:53

Hi all, I'm still here, still lurking! Just wanted to share that I've hit my first target and am soooooo pleased with myself 😁 It's been slow - averaged at 1lb a week, but given that I'm mid-menopause & have PCOS, I'm just chuffed to have lost weight at all! Did that lovely thing of shopping in my wardrobe last week and discovered clothes that I'd given up hope of ever getting back into - including my favourite ever jeans and a fab FatFace t-shirt that I've had (and kept, too small) for years - I may have possibly got a teensy bit emotional, but that could've been the hormones! So, slushy and unmumsnetty as this is - I really want to thank you @HardRockOwl for starting the first thread and sharing your progress, it gave me the motivation to 'step into the circle' (ok making myself feel queasy now) and I'm so happy I did! Many more weeks to go for me, but that's ok, I know I can do this!

HardRockOwl · 09/08/2022 15:39

Aww that's so nice @Plainandsimple - I know how hard it is for us all - dieting day in and day out is boring for the most part so we've all done so well to just plod on with it. I said I'd post until the bitter end and that's what I'll do!

So nice to fit into old clothes isn't it? I had quite a few old stitch fix boxes from a few years back ... I was too lazy to send the clothes back so they just languished - and today? I wore a pair of the trousers that I couldn't wedge into 2 years ago.

HardRockOwl · 09/08/2022 19:52

Food times ..

Greek yogurt with chopped banana and nectarine + cashew nut butter + pumpkin seeds

Wrap with tofu hotdog and salad

Mandarins + 2 baby lights

Panzanella salad

Louise Parker Method thread 2. All welcome
OP posts:
Megasaur5keeper · 09/08/2022 21:33

Oooh I love fitting into clothes that were not fitting before!!! It's like a whole new wardrobe.

Food times for today

B- bircher and strawberries rasps and about 6 hazelnuts
S- almonds and apple. On a bus.
L- beany pesto soup again. All gone now
1 cracker with cheese
T- lamb curry and cauliflower rice with a couple tablespoons of Greek yogurt.

Did some minimal yoga and got steps in but it's a bit of a drag at the moment. My fitbit tells me I had on average 40mins less sleep a night last week than the previous week so it may simply be tiredness, so I shall head to bed right now in hopes of getting to sleep soon.

ElvenDreamer · 10/08/2022 17:43

Because it's mumsnet, I thought I'd go for a diagram of how my food choices in relation to the circle have gone today 🤣

Did do a 9 mile bike ride though, so not all hopeless.

Louise Parker Method thread 2. All welcome
Megasaur5keeper · 10/08/2022 18:55

I mean it's not a parking one though @ElvenDreamer so is it even really mumsnet??
That looks OK though no? 9 miles is far.

Foodie diary today was

B- tex mexbeans
S- soufflé and cherries
L- crunchy chicken salad
S- strawberries and pecans
T- turkey, leek and bacon pie from lfl cookbook.k

ElvenDreamer · 10/08/2022 20:50

@Megasaur5keeper 🤣 fair point! I just couldn't face writing down what I actually had today. Strawberries and Pecans sounds like a nice combination, I really need to be more prepared with different snack ideas. They are my main nemesis.

Megasaur5keeper · 11/08/2022 08:29

@ElvenDreamer - yeah it was. I'm new to nuts and am finding much better variety in the snacks because of thiswhich is cool. I will never be able to eat peanuts but that still leaves a lot.

I now realise I need pretty storage containers for said nuts.

It's such a nice day here so far!

HardRockOwl · 11/08/2022 16:32

Dear oh dear. I decided to step outside of the circle yesterday and went a little bit mad Blush Never mind it was a conscious decision and I enjoyed the pizza, chips and ice creams (plural)

Back to business today though ..

Green yogurt with mango, plum and banana + protein powder

Hummus and salad sandwich made with wholemeal bread

Cherries

Not sure about dinner just yet

OP posts:
ElvenDreamer · 11/08/2022 19:53

Food for me today:
Yogurt with bran, flaxseed and blueberries.
Pan fried salmon and brown shrimps with tomatos, spinach and herbs.
Sweetcorn and avocado salsa salad and half a pitta bread.
Crackers and cheese.
Cereal bar. (Small step outside circle there.)

Have been for a walk today and done a few minutes yoga, now trying to distract myself from the evening snack monster...

ElvenDreamer · 12/08/2022 06:25

Lost battle with evening snack monster 😥 will try and pick myself up and into the circle again today.

Megasaur5keeper · 12/08/2022 08:21

Pesky snack monster.
Yesterday I ate-
B- texmex beans
S- eggy soufflés and a nectarine
L- salad and frittata
T- chicken leek and bacon pie with green beans

Missed a snack because work was intense, planned on having it before bed but my small human went to sleep so late that there was no before bed!
Bring pretty consistent with steps and exercise and I'm planning a gutting of wardrobe and our room of doom this weekend
Anyone got fun weekend plans?

HardRockOwl · 13/08/2022 18:29

Helloooo

My fun plans consist of moaning about this heat tbh

OP posts:
Megasaur5keeper · 13/08/2022 22:26

Today I ate
Green fritters and eggs
