As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fasting and eat twice a day.

Thanks, last time I followed slimming World religiously. It took 18 months to loose the weight. I also started running and actually loved it but the no going out lockdown rule put a stop to that.
There are no SW groups close to me now on days I can attend so i'll try and navigate my way through that again alone. I went from a size 16-18 to an 8 (UK)
I have been cal counting though over the last few weeks to curb the cravings, so far it seems to be helping.
Day off today so i'm going to make a proper start by doing a meal plan for the next week.

I ate a bit too much yesterday & more calorific stuff far too much cheese & chocolate really so 1/4lb gain was expected. Other stats unchanged though, & I don't feel any different. I love feeling this slim & toned. I do like keeping a close eye on it though. The minute I stop, that's when it creeps back 👀

My scales seem to say 3lb up today, which I know is not a 3lb gain, but still annoying. Very coincidental (not!) that yesterday evening I had alcohol for the 1st time this year !! Half bottle of sparkling dry rose wine. It was utterly delicious. I'm sure the alcohol and sugar spike has caused my system to suddenly go mad. 1st sugar of the year too. Weirdly my mood today isn't great either, I feel a bit teary and deflated. All linked I am sure. I don't want to be a tee-totaller though : (

I've just chopped up onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, aubergine, garlic, red and green peppers, carrot and swede from my veg box. I am roasting it with olive oil and garlic and herb grinder and then thinking about blending it to be a pasta sauce.

Still feeling really off yet it has been an hour since I took my co-codamol.

Thank you for the hug @8stone13. I've decided after lunch I will sit with the dog and read my book.

I hope you feel better soon @TheRealHousewife. I can’t imagine they would have given you a used mask. That’d been really negligent of them.

@buzzofthebumblebee, I hardly ever drink, but when I do I tend to feel emotional (and grumpy!) the next day. I think it might be one of those things that just becomes a lot more noticeable if you haven’t had any alcohol for a while. The biggest difference I find is with exercise. The day after I’ve had a drink my body just feels so heavy and like moving it is a massive chore. I really don’t like that feeling 😣

I jumped on the scales this morning, eager to see what would happen after a day of sticking to plan....and the scales were up! 😂 I don’t understand how I managed to get the lowest reading of the year after a massive binge and for the scales to go up after that, but I’m not going to worry about it. It’s all part of the mystery of weight loss

Sorry you feel rubbish @buzzofthebumblebee. Alcohol can be a depressant. No reason to give it up if you like it but maybe chose a different drink?

I decided to blend up the veg and have it with noodles. Doesn't look very pretty but actually tastes okay. Was worried the aubergine would change it as to not nice but then I remembered it was frozen spinach I once added to a soup which ruined it and made it pretty much inedible. This is okay. I'm feeling very bleurgh and shaking. Dh said it is probably because I've been taking my meds on an empty stomach. The first one was but I had some squares of chocolate about ten.

DH has gone to get DS2 from school and then he will be out and expect DS2 will be in his room so I'm definitely going to sit and read with the dog as I'm not feeling up to making the cards I planned too. DH will go to London to get DS1 tomorrow. Just wish DD was here too Sad.

Evening all. Day wasn't too bad, although have had a mars bar to console myself after watching DD take her first tumble off a pony! Took all my strength not to rush and help, but she was awesome and climb back on and jumped again. Home now, soak in the bath and her fav movie has fixed everything!

Food wise, I did have breakfast this morning which doesn't happen often!
Breakfast- 2 x weetabix with oat milk
Mid morning - hot chocolate made with oat milk.
Lunch - whipped feta and olives followed by beetroot hummus with artichoke and courgette salad.
Dinner is a simple sausage pasta.
Snacks - ooops mars bar!

@buzzofthebumblebee it was delicious! It was meant to be a sandwich but I asked if they could add the sandwich filling to a house salad to make it better calorie wise and they happily did! I hope you feel less flat soon

I've had 2 meals which I'm happy with but also had a cream egg and a couple of chocolates. I think I need to curb the sweet tooth.
Once the kids are asleep I'll do a work out.

exercise happening, but nothing moving on the scales yet :(.
not eating anything wildly calorific.
so i will stay on my fitness plan. if i don't see a drop i'll increase the exercise time until i do.
breakfast was oatmeal (with stewed fruit and honey)
lunch was 1 slice of bread with peanut butter and jelly
supper will be a green mixed salad and boneless skinless chicken breast (pre marinated at the butcher)
i hope everyone is doing well, @TheRealHousewife fingers crossed it heals up quickly now, @SunshineCake1 handhold and a cup of tea or coffee coming your way. @ginsparkles nice looking salad!!

Hi all. Well done. I think it's plateau time for me too. So I'm going to ignore the scales and carry on.

This months aim is to drink more water and exercise.

Ugh. I've noticed cellulite on my thighs. Any tips?? Never had it this bad before.

Morning everyone. I ignored scales this morning too. Know I haven't over-eaten, but so bloated the scales would notice. Off out for a run shortly ahead of a busy day. Can't help on the cellulite decluttering. It's such a permanent feature for me I don't notice it any more!

I don't think anything really solves it @declutteringmymind (beyond expensive treatments), but lots of water, exercise and daily dry brushing can help. Losing weight slowly is better.

I've got a party later so overindulgence on the calories is to be expected, but I will do some exercise beforehand. Other than that we really need to declutter the garage so that's today's main job!

Back to a weight with a 2 in it! Not for long though, the girlfriend & I are out to lunch at a very beautiful (& quite famous) hotel restaurant that I'm lucky enough to live near to. I won't eat too much but I can't turn down their food, it would be an injustice 😀

Hello everyone! Just checking in to say hi still up and down with my weight but currently at my lowest for this year 😊

Did parkrun this morning with a friend and then had a breakfast muffin in spoons 👍 and a lovely catch up.

Still doing IF although was only a short fast today due to drinking Baileys cocktails with my friends last night and having breakfast out this morning.

Hopefully start getting some runs back in now work is starting to settle down a bit…

@TheRealHousewife and @SunshineCake1 hope you both start to feel better soon 💐

Hi All,

Hoping I can join the thread for motivation! I joined in August/September and was doing very well and then fell of the wagon 🙈
I jumped back on the horse the middle of January and am thankfully down 4.3kg. I’m calorie counting and have a rule of movement each day whether that is walk/hike/gym.

SW:88kg 😭
CW:83.5kg
GW:68kg

I’d like to get to 80kg by the end of February.

Well week one down 4.5lb so really happy with that! Out for dinner tonight though so will need to be super good rest of the week in order to get another decent loss. Determined to not let it be slippery slope!

another day of no change :(, yes i'm feeling down about it.
maybe today i can....stay away from the peanuts...
when i'm out shopping i need to buy some sticky notes and post them in the pantry.
probably will increase my move ring from 500 to 600 calories which will mean a good extra 15 minutes of activity somewhere somehow.
