1 stone to lose

Globaluser · 17/11/2021 14:44

Little bit about me:

4 children under 4 (yeah I know)
Last pregnancy was in April this year.
I am 10 stone 2 lbs
Monday I downloaded fitness pal, so I’m counting calories.
I wear an Apple Watch so track my cycling and walking on that.
I like to burn 520 calories a day. That’s my daily goal.

Anyone want to join me on this journey? And swap recipes, of course 😋

Me I want to join you!!

I don't want to go on the scales but I know I am just going up and up despite wanting to go down and down! Last time I got on them was about a week and a half ago and it said 9 stone 6.

I don't know if its called starting today because I seem to have a continual merry-go-round of first days.

Did you start yesterday? How did it go?

I will go and charge my watch so I can join you with tracking calorie burn.

Globaluser · 18/11/2021 14:55

Hi, I started monday.
I feel like the more I talk about it and the more research I do, keeps me motivated. So I have done really really well so far. Very proud of myself 🙂
So far today, i have burned 386. But my daily goal is 520. So I think I need to walk up and down my living room some more 😄
How have you been doing? How much do you want to lose?

Cherryana · 18/11/2021 18:34

I want to lose 6lbs as a minimum - when I am 9 stone I look a lot better. My ideal is to lose a stone though and be around 8 and a half.

I have got my food shopping coming tomorrow plus an exercise class booked for the morning so while I was mindful today - it wasn't as planned and prepped as it will be from tomorrow.

I think walking around your living room sounds great - get it done is the only way!!

MsTSwift · 18/11/2021 18:36

How tall are you? I am that weight after losing 2 stone and feel great. Am mid bmi

LettertoHermoine · 18/11/2021 18:38

Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would be delighted to lose 10 pounds. I am 8 stone 12, would love to get to 8 stone 2.

LUCCCY · 18/11/2021 18:40

Hey everyone!
I went up to 14st when pregnant and lost a little weight naturally but now calorie counting.

My starting weight this month was 12st 1 and so far I'm down to 11st 5. My goal weight is 8st 5 - 8st 11, that's my happy range. I've also been getting in steps everyday. I use Nutra Check.

Good luck to you all we can do this together 💪

Globaluser · 18/11/2021 20:06

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me. It’s been a fab journey so far.
I am already feeling very motivated 😁
@MsTSwift are you asking me how tall I am? If so, I’m only 5ft 2in
@LUCCCY that is amazing!! Keep up the good work
I actually want to lose about 1 1/2 stones, but starting with 1.
@Cherryana did you manage to charge your watch?
@LettertoHermoine how tall are you? If you don’t mind me asking 😬

MsTSwift · 19/11/2021 06:42

Ha I’m 5 ft 6 and was quite pleased being 10st 2 ! Its mid normal bmi for me was nearly 12 at in 2019

Globaluser · 19/11/2021 09:08

@MsTSwift see what I mean 😂 tall people have an advantage.
Congratulations on the weight loss Smile

I weighed myself this morning and i am 10 stone. So lost 5lbs this week (obviously mostly water weight) but the killer was, when my husband stepped on the scales and he only weighs 2lb more than me 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
Currently on my exercise bike, aiming to do a 30 min cycle, but I go nice and steady. So tension is on 1 and I listen to some beats on my phone.

Hoping everybody’s day goes well Halloween Grin

Morning everyone!

@Globaluser Congrats on the weight loss! Me and DP are thinking of getting an exercise bike. It seems nice to do from home when the weather is dull. How are you finding it?

Have a great day everyone Smile

Globaluser · 19/11/2021 11:33

@LUCCCY I find the exercise bike to be really good I the lowest setting (I hate vigorous exercise)
especially if I’m watching a good show or my personal fav is rewatching friends or sex and the city 😄

Good luck! I did this and have kept it off for the past 2 months too. I calorie counted and made sure I did 30 mins exercise a day (by this I only mean walking but if clocked up on my active minutes on my Apple Watch). I ate about 1300-1400 calories a day and dropped from 10 stone 2 to 9 stone 1 which I am today.

I found it fascinating, I lost about a pound a week initially. I also cut out chocolate and sugar too. I found having an eating window helped so didn't eat until 10.30/11.00 and finished eating at 6.30/7.00

I didn't stick to this religiously but it seems to have worked and kick stared my metabolism back to what it was!

I'm no longer calorie counting but mindful of what I eat but have upped my chocolate intake again (oops)

Good luck!

friedeggandsauce · 19/11/2021 11:54

Sorry I don't meant that post to come across as sanctimonious as it sounds- just things that worked for me!!

ArblemarchTFruitbat · 19/11/2021 11:57

Oooh, I'm the same weight as you, OP. I've lost a lot of weight since the start of the year but stalling all the time on the last stone.

Globaluser · 19/11/2021 14:24

@friedeggandsauce that’s amazing 🤩 how long did it take you? 2 months or has it been 2 months since you lost the weight. I’m confused 🤯
It jus goes to show, it is mostly all about willpower. Scary, huh?

Welcome @ArblemarchTFruitbat
So if you want to lose another stone, let’s do it together! Be much easier with someone to share info with.

Cherryana · 19/11/2021 15:29

@Globaluser congratulations!! And hello to everyone!

I went to a really early bootcamp this morning (I was finished by 6.45am) and now I could just conk out!!

friedeggandsauce · 19/11/2021 15:36

@Globaluser 🤣🤣 sorry for confusing you!

I started at the beginning of June, I got to 9 stone 7 really quickly then it took longer to get to where I am now. The last 2 months I've just managed to maintain without really making major adjustments

Globaluser · 19/11/2021 15:50

@Cherryana oh my gosh! What was that like? I imagine harder than biking on tension 1 😂
Must be exhausting. I would probably faint (no joke)

@friedeggandsauce oh really? So it took few months to lose like 6 lbs? Wow! Maybe the body gets used to less calories and that’s why it stops losing weight as fast? Could be that? I don’t know 🥴

I didn’t have breakfast but lunch was a simple chicken sandwich in a wholemeal bun. Just chicken slices and red onions 252 cals

For dinner I may have beef patty with carrots and broccoli. Or rest of my chilli I made on Wednesday.

What’s everyone else had/having ?

OP posts:
friedeggandsauce · 19/11/2021 16:03

June 1st 10 stone 2
Aug 8th 9 stone 8.5
Sept 5th 9 stone 4
Then I didn't weigh myself for ages and I seem to hover between 9 stone 1 to 9 stone 3

Really quick actually

I'm 5'7 but don't carry weight well and at nearer 9 stone I'm much happier, I can now fit in clothes that were a bit too tight last year! So it's saved me money 🤣
