@Bjarnum I really hate superhuman weeks, it’s soooo difficult. Sadly it’s badly needed after my weekend of calorific celebrations. One more day to go and a meal out this evening with sister-in-law and I’m on it (I hope) from Monday morning. Just under six weeks to C-day, I’d like to shift a few (a lot!) of pounds by then.

If anyone else fancies the pure torture that a superhuman week brings, please join us for a daily chat and very rumbling tummy.

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl don’t bother with WW, stay with us! Come the new year we are all going to look like gorgeously graceful supermodels. Reality: we’ll all be bumping along on the wagon, falling off at weekends and yo-yoing between a few pounds until Easter.

True to form I’m turning this into a dog forum again but look at this!

My daughter gave it to me yesterday. It’s a pastel portrait of my dogs (from photo taken in May 2018 and sadly the little one has since died). It’s painted by an aspiring artist friend who has had no training. I’m getting it framed in a couple of weeks. It’s very rare to have snow down here so I remember the day vividly. I am absolutely thrilled to bits with it. I’ve had to take the Photograph with the cover on the painting or I’ll smudge it before it gets framed.

Sadly because it’s got a cover on it it’s not nearly as sharp as in real life.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 14/11/2021 08:49

This is clearer I think

@poorpaws What a lovely picture. I would love to be able to draw like that. Glad you enjoyed your week of celebrations - one day there might be a pill we can swallow that would wipe the lot out. Imagine the money to be made from that!
@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl I was smiling at your post then got to the bit where you confessed you didn't even have an open fire and nearly choked on my coffee! I'm with paws - please don't abandon us for WW! Good luck everyone for tomorrow's weigh in

Purlsandhooks · 15/11/2021 07:33

Morning happy people!
Are we doing this extra human week? I'll join you.
11.2 this morning.. I did see 11 briefly before the weekend but fell off the wagon a bit. Back on it today though!!
Found a case of pre baby dresses so using that as motivation.
Good luck everyone, I'm with you!

poorpaws · 15/11/2021 07:57

SW: 12st 2.75
CW: 11st 2.25
GW: 10st

So my lovely weekend of celebrations has cost me a gain of 1.5 lbs and that’s on top of a gain last week This is the woman who once she got into the 10sts was never going back into the 11s.

I knew it would be a gain and I have to put this behind me. Deep breath, no more celebrations (I hope) before Christmas and next week a good big fat (thin) loss.

Good luck to everyone else.

poorpaws · 15/11/2021 08:09

Yay @Purlsandhooks so glad you are joining @Bjarnum and me on our superhuman week. It does get very difficult near the end and last time I wanted to eat my own arm I was so hungry but it’s so worth it next Monday when we see a bigger loss. Don’t forget to post daily during this week for support and quite a lot of moaning (from me).

gonelululemoncrazy · 15/11/2021 08:44

Morning everyone. I'm up for Superhuman week as well, really need to try and reverse a couple of weeks of too much Cake.

SW 13.5
CW 13.2
TW 11.0

No change for me, which I'm taking as a win giving the circumstances.

poorpaws · 15/11/2021 09:03

@gonelululemoncrazy so pleased you are joining us for our superhuman week, that’s four of us now. We aren’t allowed to fail during a superhuman week so no cake for any of us ☹️ Prison food only 🥴

OP posts:
gonelululemoncrazy · 15/11/2021 09:15

@poorpaws I will be on my best behaviour Halo, no cake here honest (as it was all eaten last week Blush).

Bjarnum · 15/11/2021 10:02

SW 1413
CW 1207
TW 1000
Here we go!

poorpaws · 15/11/2021 18:44

Day 1 check-in and all good so far.

Over 18,000 steps ✔️
This included a longer than usual dog walk, a good hour and half cleaning, 20 mins fitness cd (very easy one), searching the shed for something DP had lost ☹️
Food. ✔️
Nothing sweet apart from a little sugar on my porridge. Think I’m up to approx 1,300 calories.

The first day is the easiest. I hope everyone is doing ok.
Early night for me I think so I don’t raid the fridge.

OP posts:
Purlsandhooks · 15/11/2021 19:21

Well done poorpaws that's an almighty step count! Did you find the missing shed paraphernalia!?
I've been at work today so couldn't move around much.
However, my wins today are saying NO to:
A chocolate bar at work
Garlic bread with dinner
And last but not least .. A G&T ! That was hard!!!

gonelululemoncrazy · 15/11/2021 19:42

Well done poorpaws and Purlsandhooks . May follow your lead poorpoors on the early night - my tummy is already starting to rumble. No sugar has passed my lips today either and manged a 5k run at lunch time Smile. Dinner was a bit of a struggle - tucking into my lovely salad whilst the rest of the family enjoyed Pizza Express peperoni pizza and dough balls Envy.

poorpaws · 15/11/2021 19:58

Well done so far @Purlsandhooks and @gonelululemoncrazy. We need to hear from @Bjarnum now to see how her day has gone.

Sadly I didn’t find the gate hook thingy my DP wanted so we’ll have to buy a new one. The shed is tiny but full to the brim with rubbish. A good day clearing and cleaning it would be a good workout I think.

Keep up the good work tomorrow.

OP posts:
Bjarnum · 15/11/2021 21:10

I did 30 mins of strengthening exercise, stuck to under 1200 calories -and sorted out the loft. A modest start - but one in the right direction. Looks like we all have day 1 under the belt. I too am having an early night. Roll on day 2 tomorrow!

poorpaws · 15/11/2021 21:51

Great start indeed @Bjarnum. I’ve finished eating for the day (1,211 cals) but I’m very hungry. Roll on day 7 🥴

Morning all. Day two and am up bright and early - and absolutely ravenous.

SW 13.5
CW 13.1
TW 11.0

Good luck everyone for today.

Morning! No weight change for me today. Have just started wearing a fitness watch to bed though and apparently I slept like a champ. I read somewhere good sleep is helpful for weight loss so I'm taking that as a win! Hope everyone has a great day.
gonelululemoncrazy · 16/11/2021 08:11

@Purlsandhooks, I read something similar about sleep in Women's Health? And now for the science bit - if I recall it was to do with stress/cortisol levels. My cortisol levels were definitely raised this morning by DS1 who couldn't find his PE shorts - a point he raised just before he had to leave for school.

ILoveYouMoreTheEnd · 16/11/2021 08:14

Good morning all, well we started doing SW from home and the current stats for the last two weeks are as follows:

SW: 15st 1lb
CW 14st 11lb
TW 11st

I'm off today and tomorrow so planning on a good walk today with the dogs with housework and tomorrow same and maybe some Christmas shopping to keep me occupied! My new job is helping as I'm on my feet all day but brisk walking back and forth covering quite a large area.

This morning I've had my berries, yoghurt and some oats with seeds.

I'll catch up with the thread posts up to date xxxx

ILoveYouMoreTheEnd · 16/11/2021 08:17

Ps, what's superhuman week? Xxx

poorpaws · 16/11/2021 08:27

Good morning all, day two and all okay. I’m having my breakfast a bit later so I don’t eat one of my dogs on the dog walk. Have a great day everyone.

@ILoveYouMoreTheEnd A superhuman week was originally @Bjarnum’s idea. It’s seven days when we really go for it both with cutting down dramatically on food and upping the exercise.

During this week we post daily for support. It’s a really difficult week but we see good results at the end. We started one yesterday so all four of us will be starving by the end of Today but hopefully will be quite a few pounds lighter by next Monday.
