@ILoveYouMoreTheEnd

Ps, what's superhuman week? Xxx

Not 100% sure myself but sounded like a good idea at the time Wink.

I think its a week where you essentially double your efforts on losing lbs.

gonelululemoncrazy · 16/11/2021 13:25

@poorpaws - apologies didn't see your post Blush (my browser has been playing up all day) which is a far more accurate description than my effort .

Bjarnum · 16/11/2021 17:41

Afternoon all! So far today has been ok - I've done the exercises and been restrained with the food. Currently I have 360 calories left in the budget and am about to do some Christmas shopping for a few hours with eldest DD. So a quick sandwich when I get back then to bed - and hopefully that will be day 2 done with. We are doing this! And onto day 3 ...

Purlsandhooks · 16/11/2021 19:00

That makes sense @gonelululemoncrazy. Weird how stress can affect the body. Ah yes the emergency gym kit dash- I know it well.
I couldn't muster the enthusiasm for a workout today but did clean the house.. with vigour.. Wink
Staying sub 1200 calories is hard!! Makes me realise it's no wonder I was gaining weight before.

gonelululemoncrazy · 16/11/2021 20:59

Evening! I am still wfh so miss out on the walk to/from the station, but did manage to get 40 minutes of exercise in during my lunchbreak and went for a 30 minutes walk before picking up DS2. Apart from that was pretty sedentary today. I'm finding it hard to stay below 1200 calories as well @Purlsandhooks, think I just scraped in today.

poorpaws · 16/11/2021 21:17

Good evening all

Doing okay today although I didn’t manage a workout because it’s my food shopping evening but still managed 18,000 steps, just!

The food went okay too but I am over the 1200 cals because I’ve just eaten some low-fat yoghurt and fresh raspberries before I go to bed and it’s taken me over but not by much.

@gonelululemoncrazy, you did a very good job of explaining the superhuman week, very succinctly. I do tend to go over the top a bit with words which is unnecessary and long winded.

So two days down, day three tomorrow…

Good luck everyone and keep on doing the right things this week, and we’ll all be super happy on Monday 🤞🏻

I was a bit of an embarrassment in the supermarket tonight. They had no skimmed milk whatsoever and I had to buy semiskimmed. I shouted to DP “but it’s superhuman week, I can’t drink this stuff”. He just sighed 🤐

OP posts:
Bjarnum · 17/11/2021 12:55

@poorpaws I'm sure all the other customers are going mad with curiosity. Hope the semi-skimmed issue didn't derail you!
Ok, yesterday firmly under the belt and I'm on track for today so far and have flopped and grunted my way through the exercises. Just about to have a pathetically inadequate lunch .. How is everyone else doing?

gonelululemoncrazy · 17/11/2021 13:02

@Bjarnum, I'm sure you looked extremely graceful doing your exercises. I've just got back from a gazelle like 5k run and am having a cup a soup and apple for lunch.

Purlsandhooks · 17/11/2021 13:16

Good work everyone! Woke up with a head cold today, which I think has been brewing since Monday now I think about it.
Sticking with the calorie allowance today, but will have to dig very deep if I'm to commit to a workout after work tonight!

poorpaws · 17/11/2021 13:52

Hi everyone, so pleased to hear we are all on track. I didn’t get quite as many steps as usual on the dog walk so I have to do a workout tonight and some housework this afternoon. I’m having a late lunch (just raspberries and yoghurt) so that I can hopefully have a later dinner tonight and not be starving most of the evening.

We are all doing brilliantly, good work everyone.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 17/11/2021 13:56

@Purlsandhooks sorry to hear you are not well but this is superhuman week so you’re going to have to dig very deep I’m afraid 😀. No excuses or reasons to excuse are allowed. (But it will be so worth it on Monday).

OP posts:
Purlsandhooks · 17/11/2021 18:24

You're a hard task master @poorpaws !! But thank you for the motivation - I did it!

poorpaws · 17/11/2021 19:29

Aww well done @Purlsandhooks, very well done. I hope you lose even more weight on Monday now for keeping so well to the plan. I’m very proud of you.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 17/11/2021 21:04

I don’t know where today has gone, it’s just vanished into thin air very very quickly. At one point I looked at the clock guessing it was about 12.30 and it was 3.30. At least I haven’t eaten as much because I haven’t had time.

@Bjarnum
I’ve been chuckling to myself today wondering how many people in the supermarket went home and googled “superhuman week”, you could be famous.

Day 3 in the bag, good luck with day 4 everyone.

OP posts:
Bjarnum · 17/11/2021 21:22

gonelululemoncrazy Clearly some meaning of "graceful" I have not come across before! 5K ! Well done - keep gazelling. @Purlsandhooks Loving the motivation. @poorpaws clearly fame awaits - I'm practicing my signature for the autographs. Actually (although I don't want to jinx things by speaking too soon) it does not seem quite so hard this time round. I mean it is still a struggle but last time I felt literally sick with hunger for several days.

gonelululemoncrazy · 17/11/2021 22:04

@Bjarnum I was going to request a pass tomorrow on my own 'graceful' effort at exercising but am now too intimidated by poorpaws to ask Wink.
Spent much of the evening talking to DM on the phone while waiting for the boys at their karate lesson - kept me away from the fridge and temptation. Good luck to everyone for tomorrow.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 17/11/2021 23:33

Hi all! I'm still here, although really suffering with sickness with the antibiotics. Only a couple of days left though - thankfully my ear is much less painful, I still can't hear properly but that's probably a bonus living with DP Grin

Had a short coaching session today on goal setting which I found really useful, need to do a bit of work on that. Essentially it was looking at where you want to be before you work on the how to get there, regardless of which goal you have in mind. I want to clarify for myself where I'm trying to get to (away from the biscuit tin, for a start) and then work backwards with the steps.

Slightly dreading Christmas now as I'm still fartubbier than planned - not that I have a social life anyway since having the DC, but there you go! I've actually ordered some jeans via ebay and they have an actual zip Shock it'll be interesting to see if they do up...

Hope everyone is doing ok with their superhuman week and I'll hopefully be back tomorrow...!

poorpaws · 18/11/2021 08:45

Hi @ClaraTheImpossibleGirl I hope you feel better soon, it sounds like you’ve been through a dreadful time, go easy on yourself.

I think we are all “a little tubbier” than we’d hoped for Christmas, I know I am. This was all going to be done and dusted and I was going to look amazing but sadly still a stone to lose . If only I’d not had a few gaining weeks where I pigged out (all my own fault) I would be maintaining now instead of going through the sheer torture of the dreaded superhuman week.

@gonelululemoncrazy no passes, noooo! This is superhuman week so it’s a definite no from me. You can blame @Bjarnum for this, it was her idea and once on the superhuman wagon you aren’t allowed off it until Monday. It’s difficult isn’t it.

So we are nearly half way through but I have to warn @gonelululemoncrazy and @Purlsandhooks that in my experience the second half of the week is so much harder than the first. I just keep my mind on the Monday weigh-in and that keeps me going but I found the weekend pure hell. (Just to make you feel good😀).

Keep going everyone, it’s not for ever (though at the moment it may feel like it is).

gonelululemoncrazy · 18/11/2021 09:18

@poorpaws, I would definitely put a couple of expletives between ''its' and 'difficult'. Don't worry I wont let the side down, but when I woke up this morning it was tough.

Trying desperately to think of things to keep my mind of the fact my tummy is rumbling. Any tips on this front from veterans of previous superhuman weeks? Today I have going into town at lunch time to try and find some spotty clothes for DS2 (Children in need - I forgot it was this Friday), and moving furniture/packing in preparation for the decorators coming in next week.

poorpaws · 18/11/2021 09:50

@gonelululemoncrazy I haven’t got many tips but I tend to do more housework, particularly something I don’t do every week, so clean cupboards etc. I cleaned the fridge last night. I also spend a long time researching Christmas presents, chew a little gum (minty freshness), clean my teeth more (don’t want to eat with very clean teeth), stay out of the kitchen when it isn’t meal time, drink A LOT of Diet Coke to take away food cravings and my most important tip go to bed early (once in bed I won’t get out again no matter how hungry I am (apart from needing a wee of course)). I do longer dog walks for extra steps too.

If I think of anything else I’ll let you know, but these work for me (sometimes).

This is only our second superhuman week so no real veterans just two (originally) dieters trying hard. BUT when we hit the scales on Monday the feeling was FANTASTIC and it was definitely worth it once it was all done.

OP posts:
poorpaws · 18/11/2021 09:55

I’ve just realised it looks from the above as if i don’t clean my fridge regularly, I do honestly 😀

OP posts:
gonelululemoncrazy · 18/11/2021 10:11

@poorpaws thanks. So not only will you have supermodel figure at the end of this but also bright shining white teeth to go with it Wink. Joking apart may adopt that one myself. Lost count of how many Diet Coke's I've had this week - drink one before every exercise session.

Bjarnum · 18/11/2021 10:23

*@gonelululemoncrazy and @Purlsandhooks glad to see paws is keeping you in line! We all need all the motivation we can get. @ClaraTheImpossibleGirl" pleased to hear from you - poor you , ear ache is one of the most painful afflictions. I'm not yet brave enough to buy anything with a zip - but when I do jeans are first on my list. I'm with paws about the keeping busy thing. I try to find a lengthy project that cant easily be abandoned half way through. LIke dragging everything out of the loft and emptying all the bags/boxes on the floor to sort them all out. (I'm in danger of being banned from the local charity shops for the sheer quantity of stuff that I no longer need and cannot bring myself to throw away) So, onto day 4, by the end of which we will be more than half way through!

gonelululemoncrazy · 18/11/2021 10:48

@Bjarnum & @ClaraTheImpossibleGirl, I've now spent the best part of two years virtually exclusively wearing lululemon (hence the username). No zips at all. In the summer I had to go into the office for a couple days and had to buy a new trouser suit as none of my office clothes fit me. Opted for elasticated rather than zip trousers.
