Life interesting meals this week so? Wink

I stayed within cals yesterday & normally long car journey would trigger me. Had my dinner before I left, brought a bottle of water & bought Cali Cali crisps & a protein bar, ate half of it.

197.75 on dms scales this morning.

Not that was excellent with guests.

Wolf disheartening but keep up the good work

Gensola · 11/09/2021 09:05

Well done on resisting the cake not I made a disastrous dinner last night so ended up having peanut butter and jam on toast as what I’d made was inedible!

I’ve meal planned:
Irish stew (lamb, veggies)
Baked trout with bacon and dill potato salad
Lentil and rice stuffed aubergines
Harissa roasted carrot, beet and quinoa salad with cannellini beans
Spicy rice and greens with eggs (sort of kedgeree)

Not2bObvious · 11/09/2021 10:27

Nice one happier, getting away from the 200 brilliantly.
We had freezer roulette before we went on hols, made for interesting times! Hope you're better at labelling than me life😂
Love a pbj gen, pity about the dinner but not a bad consolation prize.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/09/2021 10:59

Freezer roulette and lots of beige are in my future. Oh and frozen spinach which we seem to have bags of

northender · 11/09/2021 13:07

Not that's impressive restraint, I had 2 ice creams and a couple of glasses of wine yesterday but did a hard class at the gym in the morning & have actually ended up another 2 pounds down so need better restraint today to maintain that! Hard TABATA class done this morning so hoping those calories are burning away as I'm typing!

Not2bObvious · 11/09/2021 14:08

That's excellent north, I think I used all my restraint yesterday. Just inhaled a sandwich & packet of crisps for lunch, and quite frankly I'm pondering my next munch🤦‍♀️ Feeling bored & irritated with my day. Got a walk to the shop & back so I've had a bit of movement at least. I'm going to have to wait it out, dinner isn't until 6. Or have a Kit Kat...,decisions decisions

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 12/09/2021 08:42

Four hours is a long wait not

I had poached egg on toast with half an avocado that I'd brought 100 miles with me Grinit would've been gone off otherwise after weekend

Then brunch with my friends which consisted of waffles, pancakes, fruit & pastries

Dinner was freezer dive at my parents which consisted of carrot fries(not too bad) and stuffed chicken breast.

No exercise but plenty of water.

Not gone to scales yet this morning.

Not2bObvious · 12/09/2021 08:51

Yesterday was a complete splurge day, between food & wine around the 3,000 calorie mark. Feeling it this morning, shattered. And bloody starving despite having a mini fry (...and a choccie digestive) Had a weigh in and it was 169.2 so that's not great! Bit bloated for sure. Meant to do weights today, not sure if I'm up to it.
Your brunch sounds lush happier, I'd love that right now. Was thinking of having takeaway today, probably shouldn't but it's not fair that the rest of the family miss out cause I'm a greedy lump

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 12/09/2021 11:06

So week on week weigh in for Unislim down 0.6lbs, happy scales is up 0.6lbs.
It's sliding towards 196lbs & that's all I'm concerned with.

Brunch didn't even push me over my calories so I'm happy enough.

Could they get takeaway & you get scaled back version eg if it's Chinese get the starter but put microwave rice with it at home to save on cals?

Today I had country store for breakfast I don't buy it at home so I've some one morning when I visit my parents.
Fitbit died, I didn't bring my runners either, I should go for a walk though.

Not2bObvious · 12/09/2021 11:11

Country store, there's a blast from the past! I'm Fitbit free for over 3 weeks now, glad I ditched it although if I'm honest I do get my actual walking steps with my phone. It kind of means I'm doing intentional walking rather than using silly things to hit targets.
I'm bloody starving, I'd murder a Chinese right now😂 Few spring rolls would hit the spot 😉

Happierwithouthim · 12/09/2021 18:20

Not it's not as good as it used to be, not as much sugar in it.

Dinner at dms was roast beef, gravy and a few carrots, she never thinks of the fact I don't eat potatoes so that was it!

Just got phonecall from my brother, I left my handbag behind me Confused gone too far to turn back.

Not2bObvious · 12/09/2021 18:45

Yeah it used to be fierce sweet, as was Alpen. The no added sugar version of that is inedible. Ahh bugger about your handbag, is it too far as in counties away? Sounds like a high protein/low carb dinner, excellent for the diet!

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 12/09/2021 19:05

174kms away to be precise. I've just done emergency cash with ptsb now so for €2 charge I can withdraw €100 at a ptsb atm. Everything else I can tap with my phone.

Totally not followed by this:
Faced with selection of cornettos, choc ice & solero exotic at dinner today, I was going to have Cornetto when dd pipes up I know which one you'll have mammy, the solero, felt guilted into making the right choice Grin

Yes Alpen nas is inedible, regular alpen isn't even that sweet.

Not2bObvious · 13/09/2021 08:47

Ahh that's a pain, could he post it to you?
Up to 169.8 a(f'ing)gain. Got a short weights workout and my C25K done before doing kid taxi duties. Had a delicious breakfast, work soon

Am ok here but going to have a cheap takeaway curry from Morrisons tonight , just can't be bothered to do anything tbh. All these appts for Mum, Dentist, Hairdresser, Audiologist last week, have made me feel so cheesed off.
It'll pass l know Hmm

mrs you are a saint! Definitely agree with not that you need to look after yourself more.
That sounds like a very sensible and sustainable plan, not
I am not going to weigh until after I do my test on Friday - if I am pregnant I don’t care what I weigh and I can’t diet anyway, if I am
not then I can throw myself into a new exercise routine!

Not2bObvious · 13/09/2021 21:18

Awww gen, you must be driven mad with the waiting - how are you feeling now? Sod the SOD, you've enough on your mind without any of that!

OP posts:
Gensola · 13/09/2021 21:32

not I’m pretty much normal, which of course worries me, except for tiredness which I know is the hormone drugs I’m on. Every time I get a twinge I Google if it can be a pregnancy sign! Slowly going mad but only a few more days now.
Even if it is a positive, I’ve seen so many IVF threads where things have gone wrong, I know I’ll just move onto worrying about the next scan 😂😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/09/2021 06:48

Ah I really hope it works gen.
Had some not bad days here no tracking though
Braved the asod and it was ok

Not2bObvious · 14/09/2021 07:30

Scales shifted to 169 from 169.8 - moving average is 167.6 so in theory under 12 stone on average, need to get through today without self sabotage. The urge to say feck it is very strong after feeling so positive last night. I expected a better number today. Pity party over, need to eat something satisfying for breakfast and then keep busy. I also need to get an hours brisk walk in or go on the treadmill if the weather goes against me.
That's great life, no need to track if you're getting results.

Not you are doing so well to maintain honestly it's the hardest thing to do 💐
Thank you for the praise it's so sweet of you bless you all 🤗
Been ok, bust busy busy !
Phoned the Gp , asked for more Omeprazole , the Gabapentin is very irritating for my reflux so am taking 2 X 20mgs , instead of 1 ATM, fair dos she gave it me straight away and even changed my monthly regular tablet prescription 🤗

Mrsmadevans · 14/09/2021 20:16

Great stuff life if you don't have to track , it can get very monotonous 👍😊
