Happy Scale my behind Confused

Gensola · 03/09/2021 08:54

I’m hoping to weigh in tomorrow but haven’t been very active so expecting a gain. Need to know the damage tho!
Trying to think of ways of keeping myself busy, I went for a walk yesterday but my tummy still hurts when I move around, so it wasn’t my usual brisk pace!
I should do a couple of fast days really but I don’t have the will power.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/09/2021 09:12

Self care gen, you are going through a lot

northender · 03/09/2021 10:09

Absolutely, what life says gen. Be kind to yourself.
I seem to be in a maintenance phase at the minute, desperately trying to hold on to the losses I've made! I've had 3 weeks of meals out, feeling not so well so less exercise, stress etc. Scales have been down to a 14 pound loss, but currently hovering between a 10 & 12 loss. Got back to circuits last night which was great & went to a 7am class this morning so feeling back on it. 10 weeks to my 50th weekend so around 16 pounds to my 2 stone target...

Not2bObvious · 03/09/2021 10:16

Meals out over the three weeks will mess with your fluid retention north, this time next week you'll very likely see the 14 gone again if not before. In 10 weeks you'll be in an even better place.
Gearing myself up for my first weights in maybe 4 weeks? I'm dragging myself kicking & screaming to do it, watching a weight loss program to put me in the mood. Starting with a light barbell. Ugh, wish me luck.
How's the unislim online happier?

Gensola · 03/09/2021 10:27

Have tidied the bedroom and about to Hoover, it will feel fresher Smile
Had 2/3 of a frittata with peppers, tomatoes and new pots for breakfast with a decaf black coffee.
Meeting a friend for a walk and coffee later which will be nice. Just filling up the time til the clinic call tomorrow with an update on our little dots!

Happierwithouthim · 03/09/2021 12:26

Not I watched the new member talk while preparing my dinner last night. I've two more talks to watch too, the leader is good so hopefully that'll help.
Gym have put me on 2000 cals, Unislim is obviously way less, I don't know which to do Hmm good luck with the barbells Star

Gen productively keeping busy

North you can totally do this, and you haven't lost that progress either

Life are you feeling any better?

Not2bObvious · 03/09/2021 15:45

I'd try the 2000 with strict 80/20 and focus on protein. Give it 2 weeks, no move, drop to 1800, you know the drill - better to lose on as much as possible. Pity it takes so bloody long to see progress, I remember dropping 4-5 pounds at WW the week! These days it takes a year to lose, a week to gain😂

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 03/09/2021 20:56

I'm stating officially that I have had 1900 and I'm done. Got my first body pump done, only a 30 min one but no doubt I'll be in a heap tomorrow. Also got a 45 minute walk in and general buzzing around doing life stuff. It's so funny I'm on a thread with frugal in the title, I've spent a bloody fortune this week! Only thing lighter about me is my wallet

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 04/09/2021 07:30

Considering I did weights yesterday and might be holding a bit of fluid, I'm up .2 - so back to 168 but hoping it's temporary. That's down .8 on last Saturday so week on week, a bit of a loss, -Un-Happy Scales reckons I've lost .2
Achy but not too bad, tomorrow will likely be worse

Gensola · 04/09/2021 07:43

not that’s a win for sure!
DH woke me up at 630 snoring his head off and is now sleeping sweetly while I’m wife awake! I haven’t weighed yet but will do before I eat.
Our meal plan has run out but I think it’s egg fried rice (from leftover rice) for lunch, and I’m lacking inspo for dinner completely.
Clinic will call later with day 3 update on our embryos, really hope some are still growing.

Not2bObvious · 04/09/2021 10:14

I'm awake since 6, decided to get up just after 7, back in bed for tea and screentime. Have to visit family later but for now, lazing. The achy legs are kicking in, might be time for the ibuprofen!

Gensola · 04/09/2021 10:32

Great news from clinic - 4 of our 5 fertilised eggs made it to day 3 as perfect embryos! They have scheduled me for a transfer on Monday and they said to expect 30-50% drop off by then but that at least one should make it. Feeling nervous but more hopeful!

Not2bObvious · 04/09/2021 10:34

Oooh how exciting! Delighted for you, another step closer👏

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/09/2021 11:26

Great news gen. you only need one to stick

Wolfcub · 04/09/2021 14:58

That's fantastic news Gen

Mrsmadevans · 04/09/2021 15:30

OMG Gen l am genuinely praying to God you are successful this time. Crossing everything for you . Good luck sweetie Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 04/09/2021 15:35

Have been very busy with Mum and Bobbo. So not been online at all. Took her to the hairdressers and then to see a friend and her family. It takes so long to get her in and out of the car and into the cafe/hairdressers/ friends house it's like a planned mission Grin
Anyway suffice to say l was great yesterday but today is my 39th Wedding Anniversary and l am going to enjoy it. Afternoon tea in the Angel Hotel in Abergavenny and a meal out in The Bear Crickhowell tonight. Only me and Dh and the daughters but l am thinking of renewal of vows next year for our 40th but Dh very against it Grin

Happierwithouthim · 04/09/2021 17:25

Wow gen that's super news

I had pt training session this morning. They're insisting on 2000 cals so I'm going to try it.

Sausage bacon medallions, black pudding & egg sandwich for brunch , followed by a fibre now popcorn bar & pack of satin crunch & sipped away at monster zero all afternoon 950 cals but very much enjoyed.

Will walk with dog later I think

Not2bObvious · 04/09/2021 19:53

Aww congrats mrs, have a fab night!

OP posts:
Gensola · 04/09/2021 20:57

Aww mrs huge congratulations! Defo do the renewal, it would be lovely! I LOVE the bear in Crickhowell, we had a gorgeous meal there in July when we were staying in our airbnb.

Not2bObvious · 05/09/2021 08:47

Ffs - up another 1.4 on yesterday. Had some wine with dinner but kept to just over 2000 calories and got an hours walk in. Clearly it's carb bloat/weight workout related but ffs. Ok I think I've ffs'ed enough! Onward I go, maybe tomorrow the scales will quit trying to ruin my day. Back off the booze again, contemplating a body pump session later this morning

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 05/09/2021 09:15

Happy Scale has me up 1.6lbs since last week.
Hard work will pay off in time.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/09/2021 09:55

Making a slow start so done an aerobics. Going to the beach later for in laws anniversary so food will be usual beach fare

Not2bObvious · 05/09/2021 10:39

Hard work will definitely pay off happier
Gone for a walk instead of weights, still very achy so I'll hold on until tomorrow morning.
