Was down a smidge after a bit of scales jiggery pokery (hugely technical term)
The blasted alcohol happier, just do your best on the other days. The Preece Nutrition there's an idea about marking out your off track days, you know your nights out/birthdays etc and then just making sure your on track days are good. If you've 2 weeks ahead of you with 2-3 nights out you still have 12-11 days you can make a difference. Over time, depending on your goal, you can become more picky about days you decide can be off track.

No amount of jiggery pokery was making the scales spit out a better number this morning. Very salty dinner last night so nothing to be done, maybe tomorrow the bloat will be gone. It's a c25k day today, getting harder, 3 x 5 mins runs throughout the session. Doesn't sound much until you have to do it, then ugh. EP over for dinner, must avoid wine

Happierwithouthim · 21/10/2021 08:19

Not I'm not letting the alcohol throw my food off kilter so I feel that's a win anyhow.
Drop down to 197.1 again this morning so I'm glad to see that before the weekend.

Jealous of c25k I just feel too heavy for it right now, doesn't help that my 50 year old neighbour puts on her teeny shorts and runs up and down our road, I feel more inadequate. I'll get back to it.

This week only one HIIT session as I'd my nails booked for my child free time last night.

Happierwithouthim · 21/10/2021 08:20

Salty or carby dinner bloats the body and increases the scales, and we know that

Not2bObvious · 21/10/2021 09:48

That's great happier, once the earring is in check the booze can't do double the damage. Omg if you saw me doing this there would be no envy, I'm like a whale on land huffing/puffing. Getting your nails done stops snacking, that's the perfect swap for hiit class😉
Baking another bloody cake, a simple one though so I shouldn't moan. Might have a slice with a smidge of icecream in place of wine. A reward of sorts

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 21/10/2021 09:52

Earring? Eating ffs

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 21/10/2021 13:17

Me again (sorry I have no one to talk to so you lot get too much of me)
My c25k was ridiculously hard, reason why? It turns out it was 2 x 8 mins run, I was completely flummoxed as to why the 5 mins bits seemed so long. And the next one is 20 mins run😩

Mrsmadevans · 21/10/2021 13:58

Oh bloody hell Not l couldn't do that it would Kill me! Well done !
I don't drink much tbh , l realised l only liked booze that is tasted like food 😂😂😂

Not2bObvious · 21/10/2021 15:55

Trying to think what drink tastes like food? Hmm, baileys? Now there's a danger drink, liquid cals!
It damn neared killed me. I thought the app had gone faulty, how could 5 minutes feel so long.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 21/10/2021 17:46

Fallen off as no attempt at anything other than survival here though the bug I have gives me no appetite #everycloud

Mrsmadevans · 21/10/2021 18:34

Not I love Malibu because it tastes like coconut , the obvious versions of Baileys, Snowball , Pernod .I love all the Aldi sweetie infused gins and l realised it was the sweeties l liked better than the booze hic! Grin
Life hope you feel much better soon lovely Flowers

Not2bObvious · 21/10/2021 22:15

Ahh forgot the other obvious suspects! I've never drank Malibu, probs best I don't start now. I love the sweet drinks and the sweeties, doomed!
I have had some wine, to be sociable and cause I've loads of other excuses I won't bore y'all with. Anywho, a shade under 1800 which is good considering.
Hope you feel better soon life, keep the dieting on the back burner, it's only a few pounds in your case so shouldn't be anywhere on the priority listThanks

Not2bObvious · 22/10/2021 07:59

My wine didn't mess up my weigh in, although it did ruin my sleep. Back down to the 166'ish, down 1lb on last Friday and .4 on Happy Scales. Chippity chip.
I'm wrecked, the day has been started with buttery white toast. Hungry again already! Today's a weights day, not feeling it right now

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 22/10/2021 10:49

Lost another half pound. About to go on holiday though so need to be careful not to ruin my progress in ten days I can eat what the hell I like but until then it's best behaviour time

Happierwithouthim · 22/10/2021 12:37

wolf well done
I've not reached the low weight of last Sat yet but I'm happy with how the week has gone.

Went out for dinner with the dc last night, refrained from dessert and dinner was poached trio of fish - salmon, cod and prawns with winter veg and chips, it was delicious and as I hadn't eaten lunch there was no guilt!

Does anyone else find eating out comes in spurts? Last night I ate out unplanned, today we're getting takeaway from local restaurant for lunch, and tomorrow I'm staying overnight in a hotel for my friends 40th!

Not2bObvious · 22/10/2021 13:37

Quite literally a feast or a famine happier!
Great you've had a good week, that's progress, not always using the scales for validation (says sheHmm)
10 days is a nice amount of time to get ready for holidays wolf, nice one on the loss too.
Did my body pump and it was tough, got a 40 minute walk in too. So not back but I am so fighting the urge to eat everything, if I can just get through til after dinner, I'll be delighted.

Being on the road is always a weak time for me travelling to my parents.

So had dinner for lunch today, lunch is planned was a tuna salad sandwich so made that up before getting on the road & took it with me with a can of monster ultra(11kcals) and when ds looked to go to shop I got a fulfill crispy bar(150kcal) so I'm ok with how today went too

Not you're great to fit in so much exercise

Not2bObvious · 23/10/2021 08:17

Sounds like a very well planned travel day happier. Thanks for the compliment, I wish it felt great, mostly it's a bit of a grind to get going but once I start, I'm pleased.
I'm trying to do 3 x weights, 3 x c25k plus a few walks here & there. The enthusiasm and drive wanes here & there but after being sick & off it for nearly 2 weeks a few weeks ago I'm trying to make it non negotiable. Think about it long enough, I'll talk myself out of it. Clocks ticking, I thought I wouldn't be fat & forty, now I'm closer to fifty and my body isn't liking the extra pounds. I know its the food to lose the weight but if I keep active I seem to eat better too. And it can't hurt to get a bit stronger & fitter. It's only a short part of the day (maybe I'll convince myself if I keep saying that)
Time to get up and do the final c25k of the week, say prayers, it's a 20 minute non stop run 🤞

not I said this about being 30, now am in late 30s and heavier than I’ve ever been!
I fell off as work has been insane, today we are visiting MIL and taking her out for lunch, I am dreading it tbh. She is just so rude and negative.
DH is sad because his oldest friend, basically besties since birth, called up and said he was on DH adult kids side over their behaviour at time of FIL funeral Sad
I haven’t managed exercise since last Monday but have been trying with steps.
Way too much wine - lots of social stuff happening and I’m bad at just having water!

Unescorted · 23/10/2021 08:45

Morning..... do you mind if I slide my bum on to the bench?

I have had to give myself a stern talking to. I have realised that my bell starts moving half a pace behind the rest of my body and had to buy a new dress to go to the office.

Over the last 4 weeks I have been doing HIIT every morning, 8:16 type fasting (ie - taking a break from using my mouth like a bin for all the left overs) and reducing my alcohol intake. DH has stopped drinking totally so that is an easy win.

My top weight was 94.8kg, down to 87.8kg this morning. Buying a new pair of jeans in the Christmas (possibly spring) sales target weight 80Kg. Buying a new bikini 75kg.

I need to start the C25K plan.... I am hoping doing HIIT has strengthened my legs so I don't do a damage when I start running again ( this is my downfall).

I am using you lovelies as inspiration and accountability....

Unescorted · 23/10/2021 08:46

bell = belly. I do not have a leper bell attached. I am not that repulsive yet

Gensola · 23/10/2021 09:08

Welcome unescorted that’s great progress already! I haven’t weighed recently as too scared. I had gotten to 62kg from 68, goal 59 but suspect I’ve put a lot of that back on.
I’m currently waiting for AF to arrive so I can start last IVF cycle, of course she is three days late. Usually bang on time but any time I really need it to be timely….

Not2bObvious · 23/10/2021 11:20

Welcome unescorted, you've done brilliant so far. You sound proper determined ⭐️
165'ish this morning, so getting away from the 12 stone mark again. Wrecked from running around doing mums taxi, home for brunch now - starving. C25K was tough but done, phew
