Anyone on Mysimba ?

New here , interested to know if anyone has ever or is currently taking Mysimba ?

Yes, at work I am totally non plussed around all the cakes and sweets/chocs that people keep on bringing in. It’s great feeling tbh and I’m surprised by it. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the meds, other options make you feel full, but this just seems to flick a switch in my brain to off around food temptation, I don’t even think about it.

I'm hoping that switch flicks for me soon! Day 2 and feels like a week already 😅😅 you guys are giving me hope here!

Day 6 for me and I decided to move to the 2 tablets today, last night I was really hungry after being fine all day. I don’t want to undo what I’ve achieved/lost this week

I'm the same with hunger, im starting day 5 and don't feel that the hunger has subsided 🙄 think il start on the 2 myself!

I’m on 2 now, when your hunger comes back it comes back twofold!!

5lb in just over a week, not complaining!

How much have you lost so far?

I’ve lost 25lbs but aside from the weight loss, it has done wonders for my mental health

I can see from this thread it’s 2 years since I first got this. I still have a few left from my first prescription. As with all things diet-related, I lost interest. I lost some, I gained some. I’d probably try again if I had the money and motivation. I’m at a relatively good weight now, so I’m just outside the BMI for it.

That's amazing, do you mind me asking how long it took? I'm on week 2 and side effects are becoming alot more apparent, like a jittery feeling constantly ,its not a great feeling 🤢

I have full pack and 40 tablets .I stopped treatment, no work for me, very bad side effects

I had zero side effects but I did take them for the thirst 3 days with cyclizine just incase. I'm taking 2 a day and today's day 15. They took a good week to kick in I'd say and my appetite has significantly dropped. I've only lost 3lbs though but I am still drinking alcohol on a weekend so that'll be why.

Well I've just started taking Mysimba and this is my 2nd day. I have never ever felt so ill in all my life. I have 2 boxes that I am thinking about throwing away but I'm wondering if I should give it a few more days. I just can't carry on feeling like this its just awful. Anyone else?

I started Mysimba a few days ago when I was on holiday but didn't want to risk it travelling home. So I've had a 2 day gap & i've restarted today. I definitely had an upset tummy the first few days & one night of very vivid nightmares. But that could have been the Thai food!

Hi all, I am considering switching to Mysimba from Saxenda due to the stock issues. I have had no side effects while on Saxenda so I am hoping to tolerate this as well!

Question: I take Saxenda in the morning (around 9am) and it takes a few hours to kick in, ie. I feel hungry till around 12pm and not so hungry thereafter. I saw that you need to take Mysimba with food, and I usually skip breakfast as I am doing some extended fasting. If I take it at lunch time, will it curb my appetite immediately or a few hours later?

@dontwanttostay I had no noticeable curbing until 2 tablets daily. I was overseas when I started & eating a lot of meals out. So it was difficult to ascertain the effect. Don't take the tablets on an empty stomach though!
