Frolicking through February

Octopus37 · 01/02/2021 08:19

Think I might have used a similar title last year, but here goes. Hopefully we might move towards frolicking cause things have got to improve in February right.

Weighed in at 9st4 this morning. A couple of pounds off this month would be great, but I'm mainly working on my motivation and trying to increase my energy levels.

Ah no crimes here flattered. Back on the horse again and tbh 100g of maltesers.. If I could stop at that I'd be delighted.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 06:43

Love Maltesers.

14:7.4 That's 4.6lbs lost in 2 weeks. Might have a bit of an upswing as yesterday was a fast then 500 cal day.

I'd love to be able to keep that rate of loss up for the first couple of stone

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 07:38

Brilliant Honeybadger, well done!

Overweight · 11/02/2021 07:51

Great work @TheHoneyBadger !

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 08:15

A day early to weigh but anyway, a half pound down since last Fri. I'll take it happily. Just want to go in right direction.
Goals: 2.5L water, 12k steps today, no after dinner snacking.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 08:39

Thank you. I'm so glad to be back in the game. Will be even more pleased when the regained weight is re-lost and I'm making new progress itms.

I do not want to be on the beach with this belly come summer.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 08:46

Don't worry Honeybadger, just concentrate on going down. One day at a time for me anyway, it's the only way.

FlatteredRhubardFool · 11/02/2021 09:19

Well done everyone!
60.4kg this morning. I suppose that's because my body is now rehydrated.
@Overweight I hadn't thought of that. Uncooked or cooked. I'll check.

drspouse · 11/02/2021 11:06

Yet to weigh myself this week but I'm quite happy with my evening saving-snack-calories (would like to cut down on alcohol though as a very small glass of wine is quite a good amount and feels indulgent). Last night I had a pale ale that DH didn't want from his beer box and some kale chips. Really hit the spot. And I had a Teams meeting this morning in a slightly more rounded neck top than usual and I feel I'm looking a tiny bit thinner and more haggard.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 11:29

Yay drspouse! I could get a bit haggard too if too thin. I'm very small on top but larger bottom half (pear).

drspouse · 11/02/2021 11:35

I tend to hold my weight round the middle, so attractive not.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 11:40

Mine is predominantly round the middle I've also regrown a huge bust (had a reduction in 2013).

I have long legs and they usually stay slim even if I've put weight on but at this weight everything is a bit fat. I'm much more appreciative of the body I had pre 40's now than I was at the time.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 11:44

I can imagine you both exactly. Different body types are actually quite interesting!! I have no boobs whatsoever, a small waist and big bum and thighs.. Not too big now at all but bigger than when I'm me, ykwim. I had boobs and a stomach last Jan which was enough to know I had that extra stone!

FlatteredRhubardFool · 11/02/2021 12:04

I have always been chunky of thigh. And arm. And calves. Sturdy shoulders, "good child-bearing hips but not much to feed them with" as was the opinion of some twat in the pub was I was 18 and about 8.5 stone. I often thought of that bloke over my breastfeeding years. All 9 years of them. Never had formula. So fuck you pissed man in the pub. Rant over. I've never had much of a waist and seem to follow the genetic trait of a midriff. 6 lots of abdominal surgery, endometriosis and IBS have not helped my poor body. I'm quite solid I think. Others think I'm very petite but that's just in comparison and because I'm short. I'd love another 4 inches of height.

Overweight · 11/02/2021 12:58

9 years @FlatteredRhubardFool that's so good going!

I don't think I'm in much danger of ever looking haggard because I'm too thin. I think a generous person would describe my shape as Rubenesque 😂. A waist and less tummy would be nice. I've always had chunky thighs, even as a teen when I probably wasn't fat (but didn't realise it).

I'm one week in now so it was weigh day today. The scales seem to think I've lost 2.5kg. I'm a bit shocked and suspicious. Anyway, I will happily take at face value any progress in the right direction and keep going.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 13:47

That's over 7 pounds!! Wowzers.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 13:49

Yep my bowel surgery has destroyed my abdomen. My scar runs from belly button up to nearly my bra line and the whole area has sort of popped out Sad The lower abdomen/stomach was pretty buggered from pregnancy but now I feel like a beach ball with limbs.

I'm reminding myself that emergency surgery saved my life but I hate what it did to my body and it wiped me out for ages hence, partly, having gained all this weight. If I ever lose it I'd love to have abdominal repair surgery.

So I just need to lose 4 stone and win the lottery Wink

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 13:50

2.5kg is awesome. Great start!

FlatteredRhubardFool · 11/02/2021 15:58

@Overweight that's awesome, well done! A good start is good motivation. I hope you're finding this thread helpful and positive.

I'm going to give myself a bit of a break from restriction this week and concentrate on doing whatever necessary to feel better as I still feel wiped out.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 17:31

Interestingly and effortlessly and unintentionally I have fasted for over 12 hours. I think I may be benefiting from the side effects of switching antidepressants.

I'm going to do the beef stir fry tonight (and hopefully not poison us). I had to go to the chemist and nipped in the coop where I found have price peanut butter haloStar Possibly the highlight of my clearly not very exciting week.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 17:32

That should say over 20 hrs.

TheHoneyBadger · 11/02/2021 17:33

And it should say half price Hmm Fat fingers is my excuse

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 18:44

Honeybadger, you have been through a tough time.. That all sounds really challenging. I've just been informed by fit bit that in the last 50 weeks I've walked 1379km! I think that's pretty good. Logged for the day, heading grudgingly for a long walk after dc bedtime.
B: ono
L: nutty fried rice
D:carbonara
2.5L water in, no snacking to come and have 7k steps done so will hit my 12k. Have a good evening all.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 11/02/2021 18:47

That converts to 3mln steps and a daily average of 8.5k steps. Interesting to view that, must try and up that daily average in next few months.

Octopus37 · 11/02/2021 21:44

@TheHoneyBadger I think you have done amazingly having gone through such a tough time. @Overweight 2.5kg in a week is loads, massive well done. Only just posting now cause I've had such a busy day with work, all I'd eaten was a cereal bar ad maltesers all day, but have just eaten fish and chips. Steps are over 15,000. Water is almost zilch due to lack of time.
