Good afternoon all

Haven't posted for ages. Was away in Turkey last week(all inclusive groan).

Went to my class last night and i put on 4lbs Means that once again i have a stone to go to get to target.

I think i should just give it up lol

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 26/10/2007 14:43

Hellooo agalch. Lovely to see you. Glad you had a fab holiday (bit warmer than here, I hope).

OozingSlashesFromTigerFeet · 26/10/2007 15:56

Poor Jackie, having no head means that nobody loves you any more!

Agalch, good to see you Don't give up now, you'll put all the weight back on again. I think that 4lb on an all inclusive is allowed, I bet you are actually retaining a lot of water

Kewcumber are you about? You've fallen off my active scrabulous games... are you bored of the easy wins?

agalch · 26/10/2007 17:53

Tiger i think we both know none of the 4lbs is water retention but thank you for that lol

I won't really give up but i am fed up of the whole "diet" thing. It will be almost a year since i joined scottish slimmers and i haven't reached my target.

I am going to the Scottish Xmas meet up so that might give me the motivation to get my arse in gear and get the last bit off. Will go shopping for an outfit on Tuesday when DH is off and imagine myself 1st lighter. {hmm} We'll see!!!

Kewcumber · 30/10/2007 12:50

Sorry girls - have a problem with my computer at hme - DS has cracked the creen and I only have a tiny viewing bit but I persevered last night and should be active again (though a bit cross eyed)

Kewcumber · 30/10/2007 12:51

still have sinus trouble and not sleeping. Where did you go in South Wales Jackie?

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 31/10/2007 20:46

Poor you (or is that DS not sleeping?) Comes to the same thing though, doesn't it. Hope it's better soon.

We went to T enby - my mum is still living there. We camped out in her flat, on the world's most uncomfortable sofa bed. Can only stick a maximum of 3 nights on it till my back gives up. It was great - went on the beach and had a lovely time.

Strange really - we were at my mum's place, which is spotless (she's a bit obsessive about it), but she smokes in there, and we ended up stinking of it too. Then we went for the night to the ILs, where it's like something out of 'How Clean is Your House' (I physically recoiled when I first looked in the downstairs toilet, and I had to clean the sink before I could use it), but they don't smoke, and the mess means it's more relaxing with the DCs (though you never quite know what they'll find on the floor!). It's a tough choice as to which was the worse physical environment (though both lovely from the people point of view, so I feel a bit mean whinging about them).

MrsJohnCusack · 31/10/2007 21:06

I have put on 2 pounds I think
must try harder

Tenby sounds lovely. We had a great day at the beach yesterday, spring is def here. Surrounded by sunbathing lovelies though, so I felt like the original great white beached whale

It's not just me that's being apathetic then? Is it time for a round of arse kickings?

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 31/10/2007 21:08

I didn't even weigh last week, I don't think, possibly for the first time since the MoFos started]. Probably arse kickings are the least of what I need. I am still running though. Just being useless on the eating front.

Kewcumber · 31/10/2007 21:49

oh I can't be bothered to be apathetic...
No it's me thats not sleeping not DS (which seems worse somehow) - sinuses making me snore and waking me up and have really buggered my achilles tendon on one side and the otehr side is beginning to go too so I'm struggling to do much exercise.

Waiting for a scan of my feet and for physio but the consultant said "well the good new is that you don't have rheumatoid arthritis, the bad news is that if as I suspect that its your achilles tendon then they are a bugger to heal" bugger bugger.

I walk like a little old lady at the moment, I know worse thing happen at sea etc etc but it getting me down.

I'm thinking of buying a small trampoline - anyone tried one?

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 31/10/2007 22:10

Ow - all sounds very painful, at both ends, so to speak. Never tried a trampoline (you'll need to invest in a good sports bra)

TigerFeet · 01/11/2007 09:34

Sorry to hear of your aches and pains Kewcumber, sounds rough

Trampolines are supposed to be fab, never tried one of the small ones but I have bounced on one of the mahoosive ones that people have in their gardens and it was great fun and very aerobic... Mrs JC is right about sports bras though also how is your pelvic floor?

Tenby sounds lovely JackieNo, I could really do with a break somewhere lovely like that.

Kewcumber · 01/11/2007 13:50

Tigerfeet - my pelvic floor is preety sound (though bosoms less so) as I "gave birth" the easy way!

JackieNo · 01/11/2007 15:29

Not sure 'easy' is quite the word I'd use, Kew - the only thing it was easier on was your pelvic floor, I suspect. Will your achilles tendon cope with trampolining? And more to the point, how will you ever get DS off a trampoline for long enough to go on it yourself?

MrsJohnCusack · 01/11/2007 19:26

oh lets not talk of pelvic floors

tiger - lots of pics of springtime in NZ on my facebook profile

TigerFeet · 02/11/2007 09:25

Kewcumber, I read your blog from start to finish a couple of days ago (twas fab, loved reading all about it again, you write so well) and I still manage to forget that your ds arrived in a non-pelvic-floor-punishment manner

I'm off to facebook (JackieNo you NEED to join up) to have a look at NZ in the springtime

TigerFeet · 04/11/2007 18:52

How are we all doing? It's very quiet around here

littlemisssensible · 04/11/2007 19:03

Hi Tigerfeet!

I haven't posted for ages though I've kept up with the chat!

We seem to be sooooo busy at the moment and I'm really not doing very well at controling my greed so I've been feeling guilty about posting.

I cancelled my gym membership too, mainly because I've a few other long term expenses coming up and I really couldn't justify spending that amount per month on my self! I mean't to go down to DH's allotment and do some digging/weeding a couple of afternoons a week (for an hour after work whilst DD is at one of her clubs) so that I still got some exercise, but needless to say I just haven't got there

How is everything with you? Is the sleeping getting any better?

littlemisssensible · 04/11/2007 19:05

Ooops! is the LO sleeping any better!

JackieNo · 04/11/2007 20:19

We are a bit thin on the ground (pun intended) atm, aren't we. This evening I have mostly been stuffing my face with halloween marshmallows (in the shape of ghosts). Can't be good for me.

JackieNo · 04/11/2007 20:20

Hellooo Littlemisssensible and tigerfeet. I know I probably ought to do the Facebook thing, but I can barely keep up with MN atm, so can't cope with yet another thing.

littlemisssensible · 05/11/2007 12:06

Help! Sitting at home, feeling miserable, and stuffing everything in sight that is even vaguely edible! Just eaten some truly revolting halloween marshmallowy things with a red liquid centre . I really wasn't enjoying them but still scarfed the lot down

DD is home with tonsillitis and I made the mistake of agreeing she could sleep with me last night (as DH is away), boy can she fidget! I'm black and blue, and the intermitten t whimpering kept waking me up too! I know I should be doing the warm and cuddly mummy, making sypathetic noises and providing easy to eat food and comfort......BUT I'M TOO B@#Y TIRED!

OK feeling better now! Once more into the breech!

TigerFeet · 05/11/2007 15:31

All our leftover halloween goodies have now been uncontrollably scoffed so we are now a chocolate free household again. There was loads left over though, including these horrible fake chocolate/marshmellow things that were just vile (even dd turned her nose up) but yes, i still ate them. Quite often I find myself wondering why I can't stop. I really, really wish I knew.

DD is sleeping OKish but only if I sleep with her. I sit in her room while she falls asleep, then she usually wakes up in the early hours and I am too knackered to sit with her then go back to my own bed so I sleep top-and-tail with her. Every single bloody night [sigh]. Good job she has a full size, comfy single bed

LMS, hope your dd is feeling better soon... that grizzling is just the pits isn't it? You want to feel maternal, soothing and protective but it just gets under your skin.

Here's to a week of everyone getting a full unbroken night's sleep in their own beds [raises glass]

littlemisssensible · 05/11/2007 16:45

The Antibiotic seems to have kicked in now so DD is bouncing around the living room looking anything but ill!

Meanwhile I'm still dragging my tired little brain and incredibly worn out and achy body from the tea caddy to the supply of cheap sugary 'treats' bought for halloween (its nearly finished now though!)

DD wants to sleep in my bed again tonight but I might have to veto the suggestion on the grounds that I have a client meeting tomorrow and I ought to look at least half human!

I hope your sleep problems improve with time too!

TigerFeet · 06/11/2007 09:58

Morning all, how is DD today LMS? Sounds like she's about ready to go back to school

Well ladies, shall we start weighing in again? I'm happy to do the weights etc. I really need to get going again. I am heavier now than I have ever been - I put loads of effort into losing 1.5 stones at the beginning of this year and it has all piled back on and more . I need to get back under control before Christmas. I always overeat at Christmas.

I am happy to do weights etc if you want me to
