Who's in? I'm a mess.

I need a lot of work 😁

I'm going to try and ditch quite a few pounds and make myself more lovely again. I need a complete overhaul. Starting tomorrow obviously!

Well done @Bercows!

I actually love those lentil crisps. Note to self - replace McCoy’s!

SistemaAddict · 15/06/2020 20:32

My stomach has just done a big growl and ds has told me to go and get some food bless him. I am always hungry in the evening. But I'm going to ignore it.

SistemaAddict · 15/06/2020 20:39

Youngatheart00 the Eat Real ones are my favourite. I can easily eat a whole big bag though. They are quite high in fibre though and I'm not a fan of regular crisps at all.
I wish fruit was cheaper and lasted longer. I bought nectarines a couple of weeks ago and it was £3 for 4! I can't get out and about to the shops to find better prices either. Raspberries and strawberries are my favourite. Not many portions to a punnet though unfortunately.

Youngatheart00 · 15/06/2020 20:43

I’ve only had the sainsburys ones before - the sour cream and chive ones. Tasty and around 100 cals I think.

I envy your love of fruit - I’m not really a big fan. I do love veg and salad though so just need to max that.

Soups and salads and maybe some smoothies (for my fruit) is the way forward for me I think.

And black coffee for the metabolism!!

ThornsInMySides · 15/06/2020 21:20

I wish that there was a magic pill that can take away the feeling of hunger. I feel really hungry now that I have sat down to watch tv. I am going to try not to eat after 6pm. Usually I stuff my face with chocolate all evening and go to bed feeling bloated.

I'd love the last half of the packet of lentil chips. I'm watching Shetland and it's my nightly treat to watch and enjoy a snack in peace once the dc are asleep.

Charles11 · 15/06/2020 22:35

I love lentil crisps too. I can’t open a big bag, have a few and put them away so I buy the mini ones.
The one thing that keeps me going is that feeling of going to bed and feeling good that I’ve had a successful diet day. Sometimes I’m hungry but I imagine that my body must have to use all my stored energy i.e fat all night.

ThornsInMySides · 16/06/2020 09:20

Morning all, how are you all doing.

I went to bed starving last night but didn't feel hungry when I woke up.

Full body scrub and moisturise first thing plus make up applied.

Me please! I’ve put a stone on since lockdown started. I just feel so bloated and gross. The scales aren’t as bad as I look/feel so I’m going to set myself the target of 7lbs to loss. I’ve literally just started dating again and met I guy I like. He’s a physically fit guy so I’m quite self conscious at the minute. I’ve booked an open water swim for Thursday and I’m going to do Yoga this morning and drink loads of water

PrimalLass · 16/06/2020 09:58

Because of this thread I now have a hair mask on and have just done my facial gradual tanner. I cab with makeup just now but a wee glow really helps. Was getting big spots with the Garnier summer body so bought a Nuxe one, which is lovely. I've also been taking Starpowa hair and nail vitamins foe nearly 2 months - but keep wrecking my already-shit nails in the garden.

wowfudge · 16/06/2020 09:59

If you're going to cut back your calories significantly, eat more lean protein. Protein and fat help satiate your appetite. No need to cut out carbs, just stick to complex carbs and have a small portion instead of loading your plate with them. I've never felt hungry on the plan the gym provided. Drink plenty of water. If you like milky drinks consider switching to a plant milk instead of cow's milk or you'll be taking up a chunk of your calories and carbs. e.g. if you like lattes, substitute oat or almond milk. I'm not saying you have to do these things but they can help keep you on track without making trying to lose weight harder because you're hungry and feeling deprived.

wowfudge · 16/06/2020 10:01

@PrimalLass - wear gardening gloves, either leather ones or the close fitting sort that have a rubberised palm and fingers. You can still grip things and use your hands but your skin and nails are protected.

ThornsInMySides · 16/06/2020 10:07

I was just thinking this morning that I need to start wearing rubber gloves when I do the cleaning in the house. I'm going to put a pair in the bathroom and a pair in the kitchen so there is no excuse.

Thank you. I've got some somewhere.

SistemaAddict · 16/06/2020 10:27

I've just finished my breakfast and am on my second cup of tea. I have 2-3 a day but any more makes me very bloated. Otherwise I just have water.

I need lunch ideas. I don't like sandwiches, crackers, don't eat eggs unless in baked goods, and have gone off my usual bagel and Mexican cheese. I never fancy much at lunch. I might have porridge.

wowfudge · 16/06/2020 10:39

Salad? With chicken or smoked salmon, sprinkle of grated cheese over the top.

SistemaAddict · 16/06/2020 10:44

I am veggie

wowfudge · 16/06/2020 10:46

I didn't know that - what about quorn then, or houmous and veg, a Greek salad?

Youngatheart00 · 16/06/2020 10:53

Had a nature valley bar for breakfast and got lentil soup for lunch. Plenty of water too.

Think I’ll probably have a sugar crash at some point so need to get some fruit in to help with that so I’m not reaching for the chocolate / fizzy drinks

DeterminedLittleBugger · 16/06/2020 10:57

Morning everyone. Lazy morning here as not working and had a bad night with anxiety so didn’t sleep much, so still in my nightie and a sweatshirt looking very un-Princessy.

Will Princess once I feel awake-ish!

Skin looking great this morning, I’ve been loosely following a KBeauty type regime but with cheapish uk and French products.

Last night I took make up off with Nivea Rose Micellar Water, then washed with the gel foaming wash from the same range, Garnier Rose Toner, Botanics Brightening Under Eye Cream, Vichy 39 Serum, Vichy Idealia night cream with Pixi Rose oil anywhere that was looking dehydrated. I find the Pixi breaks me out in my T-Zone hence my not applying it everywhere. Body Shop Vitamin E cream on neck.

Crumpet and Jam and a Cup of Tea for Breakfast, Dinner will be a Chicken Burrito Bowl with yesterday’s leftover Peri Peri Fakeaway Roast Chicken and salad on the side. Not sure about lunch, maybe some hummus or something. Tracking everything on my WW App.

Good luck to everyone!

Bercows I think if I were you I’d just have what ever I had for dinner as lunch...make enough for leftovers. My lunches tend to be homemade soups or egg based things (frittata, omelette, crust less quiche), occasionally a pasta salad. But given your requirements it might be best to move away from traditional lunch type foods and have a smaller portion of a dinner choice.

Could you try a slice of cheese instead? That's always very effective for me when I get a crash.
SistemaAddict · 16/06/2020 11:19

Good god, I could have made a wig out of the deforestation process Blush Ds unlocked the bathroom door and came in right in the middle of it too. Little horror.

Charles11 · 16/06/2020 11:35

I got up late today, had a coffee then went out for a walk. I’m putting a bit of oil in my hair before I wash it and I’ve got a face mask I’m going to use and just chill reading my book for a while.
I’m making a minestrone soup for lunch and dinner is chickpea, sweet potato and spinach curry with brown rice.

Charles11 · 16/06/2020 11:42

Lunch ideas - chickpea or any bean salad, pita bread with salad and cheese, baked portobello mushroom with beans,
Soups,

Youngatheart00 · 16/06/2020 11:45

@Bercows that made me LOL 😂

@PrimalLass good call re slice of cheese. Love cheese. Moderation is key!!
