I've hit peak fatness

Anyone up for sorting their lard body out? I've peaked with my fatness and I need to sort it. I can no longer hide. Tomorrow will be the day. Are you up for it too?

I’m definitely peak fat. I’ve been baking and eating through lockdown.
I’m 5”8 and I don’t have scales. I reckon I’m about 13.5 stone but I fear it’s higher... want to exercise more and eat less.

justanotherneighinparadise · 19/05/2020 07:45

Lost a pound overnight 😊

justanotherneighinparadise · 19/05/2020 07:49

@WitchyMoo I’m the same. Can’t be arsed with calorie counting which is why intermittent fasting works so well for me. No meal planning, no diet foods. Just close the eating window and then eat some normal food for a few hours.

Apolloanddaphne · 19/05/2020 07:51

I lost a pound overnight too.

TildaTurnip · 19/05/2020 08:04

@lou967 I can’t see this being easy to stick to either but I really have to lose this and there’s so much to lose that I’m hoping I will be focused!

Twilbury · 19/05/2020 08:07

Morning all, my ds made cakes yesterday ! Brilliant timing.

I am going to have a look at more veggie recipes . I have already done my meal plan for this week but I do find eating veggie helps.

Also really need to knock the 6pm drink on the head as well. That has become too much of a habit especially at the moment.

Will go for a walk in a bit . I find if I download a podcast I carry on walking for longer.

concernedforthefuture · 19/05/2020 08:15

I'm joining in. I'm just over 11 stone and at 5'5", that makes me overweight Blush. My ideal weight would be 9.5 stone. I'm going to try 1200kcal using MFP to track. I will weigh weekly on a Monday.

Day 1 (Mon): 154.2lb, BMI 25.66

Trandafire · 19/05/2020 08:23

Can I join you? I posted this message on another thread already but may as well have motivation from as many sources as possible!

After weeks of pretending to myself that stuffing my face for the whole of lockdown was OK because I was exercising a bit, breastfeeding (DD 18 months so not getting a huge amount of calories from me) and my size 12 clothes still fit, just getting a bit tight... I finally faced the scales today and I weigh 78,9 kg shock (sorry, I'm British but have lived abroad for a long time and I've forgotten how stones work), which puts me in the obese BMI category. It's a real wake-up call. I have lost 16kg before, years ago, and so I know what I need to do, just got to be strict with myself. Being at home all day is so tempting - I never snack in the office! For the moment I'll be happy getting down to 70. Hopefully in a week's time I'll have something positive to add to the thread!

Trandafire · 19/05/2020 08:31

That was a copy and paste from yesterday so the weighing myself was yesterday (and I was disciplined all day), and 'shock' should be Shock!

wizzler · 19/05/2020 09:05

I'm in the same boat as pp, I can't do calorie counting effectively. I don't do the cooking which is the main reason.

I just need to be disciplined about what I eat and stop shoving in Jaffa cakes and bread .

I reckon if I can stop snacking, go for a long walk once a day and reduce consumption of bread by half I should lose at least 1lb a week.

I may well over achieve but if I set a high target and fail it then I will commiserate with a mars bar!!

richcammy · 19/05/2020 09:06

I have gained and lost weight and was tired of everything at some point. through strict discipline and following rigorous programs I found and later modified I have been able to sustain and have a healthy body. I am willing to help those who need to lose and maintain their body weight.

lou967 · 19/05/2020 09:11

@richcammy I lost 6st 2 years ago but over the last 12 months I've put 3st back on. I was 10st at 5'8. Now I'm 13st. I did 1200 calories a day. It worked but I didn't maintain.

Hippywannabe · 19/05/2020 09:19

I was starting 16.8 again today but I forgot and mindlessly ate a Scotch egg while waiting for the kettle to boil.

MillieMoodle · 19/05/2020 09:22

Morning all!

I've decided to only weigh myself once a week and to try to stick to that! Otherwise I find I get disheartened if I think I've been 'good' but have put on a pound or so.

Had two slices of whole meal toast this morning - I'm trying to cut down on bread but also don't want to waste the food we have in.

I think I will do 16:8 as well, with my 8 hours being between 12 and 8pm, starting from tomorrow.

I need to start drinking more water and eat slower too!

withadivinebeatlesbaseline · 19/05/2020 09:24

Can I join in please?
5 foot 4 and 11 stone 9, want to lose at least a stone as a starting aim to make it achievable!
I used MFP about 5 years ago to lose 3 stone (I was over 13 stone) but then I had a baby and it didn’t go after he was born. He’s 2 now so no excuse!! I’m pretty active at work and run at least once a week but aiming to increase to 3 times. I was going great last autumn and did lots of long races but winter and pandemic (I work in healthcare) has stalled and reversed me!!

wizzler · 19/05/2020 09:30

Hippywannabe your post made me laugh!
( and that burns calories right ?)

buggeroffvirus · 19/05/2020 09:36

I am so pleased to see this post. I am sick and tired of waking up worrying about my weight and this bastard virus. I have decided that from now on I am going to do my best and try to get healthy to help beat the virus should I catch it.
I am five foot and 11 stone 2lb. I need to be 9 stone to be a healthy weight.
I have got multi vitamins and Vitamin D3 capsules and it all seems a waste of time and money if I am shoving shite in my face.
Sorry I seem to have rambled a bit but in answer to your question I would love to join you x

TrenchTown · 19/05/2020 10:02

@withadivinebeatlesbaseline you are exactly the same height and weight as me!

justanotherneighinparadise · 19/05/2020 12:58

A other 20 hour fast complete! My stomach only started grumbling towards the end 👌

RedRec · 19/05/2020 13:14

Oh yes, please can I join? Exactly a month ago today I weighed myself and was 11 st 6. (I am 5ft 4 and want to be under 10 stone, as I always used to be.) I thought enough was ENOUGH and decided to not weigh myself for a month. I would lose weight by eating sensibly (I have been) and by not thinking / obsessing about my weight. Anyway, today arrived - the big day - and I am still flipping 11 stone 6. Need help. Am fed up and utterly demoralised.

YouKnowWhoo · 19/05/2020 14:10

Weighed in at 10st 12lbs today. My goal is 10st 3lb but first plan is to get under (AND STAY UNDER) ten and a half stone.

I am feeling relieved to have made this decision!!! is that odd?

YouKnowWhoo · 19/05/2020 14:11

@RedRec agggghhhh I hate when that happens, I have been there too!

TrenchTown · 19/05/2020 14:21

@YouKnowWhoo I feel relieved too. I've just got to stick to it now. I found it really hard to actually start but now I have I definitely feel more positive.

OP posts:
TrenchTown · 19/05/2020 14:24

@RedRec that sounds really depressing. I'm planning on a weekly weigh in, don't think I could last a month without checking. I hope that you manage to shift some pounds.

WitchyMoo · 19/05/2020 14:35

So this morning I had a 3 egg Jamie O omelette , realised it was far too big so cut it in half and just had the rest with a small salad and a fruit salad for afters
A small bit of oil and butter was used , no milk . No cheeese , I've had one cup of tea today and realised I've had no water or any other liquid so I've just got myself a pint of cold water and I'm drinking that . I aim to finish it by 3pm
Tonight was going to be peri peri chicken with one roast potato loaded with veg, but I've pulled out a meal from the freezer half the size but with beef instead , one roast potato and veg so will have that instead
. I'm going to try to drink water water water all day and treat myself to orange squash before bed
I took the dog out for 20 minutes this morning and hopefully I'll tAke him for a walk later after dinner about 7pm . Hopefully I'm not too comfy by then.
I'm feeling positive
