Hi guys, all this talk of KFC... I don't really go there but I would eat a Big Mac given a chance! They were my pregnancy craving when pg with my DD, no wonder I gained about 4 stone Grin.

Good day food wise for me, mushroom, tomato, ham, cheese omelette for breakfast, fruit, yoghurt and handful of cereal for lunch, fajitas for tea. Nice!

Bit of chocolate and a yoghurt watching the telly and I finished the hat I was knitting. It's a bit big. Will get my son to try it on tomorrow.

5lbs off for me this morning!

That’s definitely evened out my 3lb gain last week. It must have been due to my period.

Chuffed with that. Makes a 7lb loss since 6th of April.

That's brilliant *loving! Well done!

@lovinglavidaloca That's brilliant! I though it might be just water when you mentioned it last week.

So happy! If I can lose every week other than my period week that’s fine.

I'm hoping I will have at least lost something. I've been reading, and apparently, when you start a new exercise regime, you can actually gain at first. It's water, but it will be so disheartening to weigh in and be the same again.

I don't have much to lose, and so it's a slow process anyway. I can feel myself getting stronger though, so that's a little victory

@Queenoftheashes I love those scenes! This is one of the catphrases me and my friend are always saying, along with 'Lettuce'

Well done @lovinglavidaloca fab!!

@MrsSnitchnose feeling stronger is great!

I managed to haul my arse around a 5k 'run' on Sunday without stopping... a big improvement from Feb when I last tried!

I lost it over the weekend. I think I was despondent after my lack of success last week and also just v fed up tbh. Anyway back on it this week. Here's hoping the wine and chocolate don't stick too much!

@lovinglavidaloca, that’s superb!

I’m still very hit and miss on the food front and on it on the exercise front. I know you can’t outrun a bad diet and I’m conscious of that adage. I’m trying to keep that in mind when I head for the fridge/cupboard. So far today I’ve had a couple of glasses of water and a decaf coffee (I don’t drink caffeine for medical reasons) and have done my c25k run, finished week 5 so I feel like I’m really getting on with it. I’m not hungry yet so I’ll have a shower and see how I feel re breakfast/brunch

Just weighed and scales said 10st 0.8lbs, so not record breaking but in the right direction. Stay focused and maybe I can get 1lb off by thurs?

lovinglavidaloca · 12/05/2020 10:43

Thanks Jon! I bet you can have a pound off by Thursday, no bother!

Nothing so far here today. I hate wasting calories on breakfast - sometimes I’m starving when I wake up though. Will probably try not to have anything before lunch. Think I will make soup. I always find it easier on the days I have soup because it really fills me up.

Report
JonHammIsMyJamm · 12/05/2020 11:37

Right. Had a mushroom omelette, according to mfp that was 329 cals. Pretty much all protein so should fill me up and good quality food so should keep me going for a few hours. I’m going to try and stay off bread. It doesn’t really agree with me (bloating, mostly) and really packs the calories in.

Just made lentil soup for lunch and forgot to put stock cubes in. Mmmmmm Sad

Report
diege · 12/05/2020 13:53

loving I feel for you! Can you crumble in a stock cube now?
I have a terrible migraine, brought on by student finance nightmares and being 'on hold' to them for far too long 😩
So far today I've had decaf tea/coffee (caffeine banned by my GP too jonhamm! ) 2 weetabix, and a ponchy vegan burger in a wholemeal bun.
Not hungry at all with the migraine so at least a silver lining there! 😆

Report
JonHammIsMyJamm · 12/05/2020 14:21

Oh migraines are my nemesis, @diege. I hope you recover quickly and can get DD’s student finance stuff sorted without any more stress.

I’ve just got back from walking the dog and I’m starting to get a bit peckish now. Pint of water, decaf coffee and a small sensible snack of some description is in order, along with an episode of Normal People. I’ll drink the water first to see if that satiates my urges. Anyone watching Normal People? I’m enjoying it, I hadn’t read the book but had obviously heard it was good. I think the chemistry between the two actors playing the leads is very good. Like I say, I don’t know the book but from a tv chemistry point of view it is well cast to my eye. I also have an inappropriate crush on Connell, even though he is pretty much young enough to be my DS Blush.

I added a couple of stock cubes and it was edible - JUST!

Have just rage-weeded the garden for half an hour so got some steps in. Rewarded myself with a single finger white twix. Still need to go for walk with kids but it’s so windy here today!

Hope you’re migraine buggers off soon Diege!

Jon I’m tempted to start that Normal People soon.

It’s good, @lovinglavidaloca. There’s quite a lot of nudity and sex in it though (sensitively handled and relevant to the story), just a heads up in case that bothers you.

Not feeling hopeful this week. My granda passed away on friday and im still grieving for nanny who I lost 3 months ago, so i've been finding comfort in the biscuits, chocolate and anything thing else I can get my hands on. Im still going to weigh myself on Thursday and hopefully get back on track then.
