Some amazing losses on here. Well done!!

It was 63kg fully clothed on 1st feb later in the day
Today 60.9kg with nothing on, first thing I doubt I’ve lost that much!
Aim 58kg
Will have to just weigh myself at the same time
I have never had the will power to calorie count
Am cutting out booze (mostly)
Low carb ish
Cutting down sugar

ploughingthrough · 06/02/2020 09:10

MsTSwift Congratulations you have reached my exact target! I started at 75.5 and now at 69. Hoping to eventually get to 63 like you. I've no advice for maintaining but using you as my inspiration!

cricketmum84 · 06/02/2020 09:23

Good NSV moment. The dress I wanted to wear for the interview fits!! When I said it was a "bit tight" before Christmas I actually couldn't get it over my stomach.

Setting off for interview in a minute. Eek!

Tryingtwo · 06/02/2020 09:26

Good luck cricketmum84, you'll be fab. Great NSV!

Onesmallstep67 · 06/02/2020 09:49

Good luck @cricketmum84, I'm sure you will fabulous and smash it out of the park.
15st 5lbs this morning. Can't complain, feeling premenstrual ( when will this end !) and eating way too many snacky things and not enough meals. Just had eggs and toast which is my go to breakfast when I want to stave off hunger/dip late morning when i can usually be found rifling through biscuits. I don't work so sometimes at home there are way too many times when I am not busy or distracted and food fills the boredom gap. trying for 3 sensible meals today and no silly add ons

Egghead68 · 06/02/2020 10:08

the not inconsiderable weight of this thread

Oy! We are getting less weighty!!

JessJonesJumps · 06/02/2020 10:10

Good luck @cricketmum84 - you will be fab!

@MsTSwift congrats on reaching target. One of the threads suggested setting maintenance targets to keep motivated which I guess could be x number of weeks at target or drinking x amount of water or doing x amount of exercise.

Somehow I'm 1.6lbs up today. No idea how. This is my official weigh-in day and it means I've maintained since last week. I'm a teeny bit concerned because last time I tried to lose weight, I lost 7lbs and then just stalled so I have a niggly little fear that I'm going to repeat that pattern.

DownUdderer · 06/02/2020 10:11

Good luck @cricketmum84 the dress fits you! What a lovely nsv!

I'm going for a walk tomorrow while the youngest is at pre-school. It's forecast rain all day, which is just brilliant! I will put on a waterproof coat and take off my shoes and walk on a beach. Bliss.

I've managed to revert to 18\6 intermittent fasting now the kids are back at school and I feel better for doing it, much more clear headed.

Get well to anyone still under the weather.

DownUdderer · 06/02/2020 10:14

My plans for maintenance (when I get there!!) are to keep weighing myself and pray I don't regain. I guess you can aim to be good 3 or 4 days a week and a bit relaxed the rest of the time.

Skyejuly · 06/02/2020 10:17

Oops, I lost the thread.

I weighed in at 9lb 11.2 this morning so down a 1lb from last week. It's been a difficult week and has felt like throwing in the towel quite a few times but alas I'm here!
Only 1lb to go and I have lost a stone but it does not notice at all!?

MsTSwift · 06/02/2020 10:59

Clothes shopping is amazing now. Never thought I would see size 10 again. Was a large 14.

Basically changed my eating habits
During week
No breakfast
Turbo session most days
Small healthy lunch on small plate
No crap snacking of crisps choc and biscuits which I was doing daily Blush
Dinner on small plate around 7ish
Nothing else until 11am next day
Relax at weekends

cricketmum84 · 06/02/2020 11:20

Just got home. I'm 90% sure I smashed it apart from the first 10 mins where I was really nervous!

Agency woman is speaking to them at 11.45 so I should have some feedback by 12!!

OP posts:
JessJonesJumps · 06/02/2020 11:25

Fingers crossed cricket ! It's great you're getting feedback so soon.

Skyejuly · 06/02/2020 11:37

Fingers crossed

cricketmum84 · 06/02/2020 11:45

WHY IS IT NOT 12 YET?!

interviewer; what do you think your best quality is?

Me: I'm a very patient person

NerrSnerr · 06/02/2020 11:58

Fingers crossed @cricketmum84. I hope they let you know very soon after 12.

I have been to a yoga class this morning. I had stopped going last year after the summer holidays and I really missed it. I need to get the 2 year old back into the gym crèche, I know he'll cry the first couple of drop offs but will be fine once he is there. It's just a shame I can't do it in the school holidays as my eldest is too old for the crèche!

MotherOfDragonite · 06/02/2020 12:27

I'm sure you aced it, @cricketmum84! (Especially in a dress that fit when it didn't before!!) Will keep my fingers crossed for a swift and positive response...

Had an ok day yesterday but got a bit thrown by my poor planning... I ate a big falafel salad bowl as a late lunch, had no idea how many points were in it (but I suspect lots as the falafel were fried and there were sauces) and then didn't eat dinner to make up for it -- but then got hungry and finished the day with a cup of tea and some light rich tea biscuits. Stayed within my points but still felt it wasn't the best day for habits!

MotherOfDragonite · 06/02/2020 12:38

@Skyejuly Well done for losing even though it was a difficult week!

@JessJonesJumps I do think weight can fluctuate. If you've stuck to your plan but haven't lost, maybe you'll get a slightly bigger loss next week??

@Onesmallstep67 I know what you mean about food filling the boredom gap! It's awful. I eat practically nothing when I'm in the office (and don't miss it, because I'm busy and interested in what I'm doing) but as soon as I'm working from home I feel as if I'm starving all the time and think about snacks way too much. Not sure what the solution is, but sending you a fistbump of solidarity! Smile

MotherOfDragonite · 06/02/2020 12:43

Hello - just joining in.

I rejoined Slimming World at the beginning of January:
SW: 14st 12.5lb
SW Feb: 14st 6.5lb
Total loss: 6.5lb

Aiming for 7lb loss this month. I'm using recipes this week from Two Chubby Cubs and Slimming World magazine.

I like the idea of breaking my journey into manageable segments

cricketmum84 · 06/02/2020 14:33

So turns out I definitely did smash it and they have offered within an hour of my leaving the interview!

Just negotiating on flexible working hours... nervous waiting to hear back. Surely most companies these days would accept a felixible working pattern from a parent though? Especially when they want that candidate so much? I currently do wfh one day a week, one day 2 hours longer and one day 2 hours shorter but come September won't be needing that anymore.

Congratulations cricket ! That's so exciting and will make your life easier with the shorter commute and the permanent contract. Wine
