@Cricketmum84 that's absolutely brilliant - well done. Celebrations tonight - I'll pass the gin for a start!
Prawn salad for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet for me yet. DGC coming after school for homemade cheeseburger and chips and I've got their favourite Almondy pie for dessert.
Crazy busy with work - will catch up later.

Tryingtwo · 06/02/2020 19:59

Congratulations cricketmum84 brilliant news and I hope the negotiations proceed smoothly. As the drinks are on you, I'll have a glass of wine please Wink
recklessgran I'm drinking a similar amount to you but in imperial measurement roughly 3.5 pints of water and if I go to my dm's a mug of tea as well. I seem to have accidentally given up coffee because there is only so much I can drink and I'm concentrating on water.

SconNotScone · 06/02/2020 20:20

Congratulations @cricketmum84 that is fabulous news.

I have been lurking on the thread, well done on so many excellent losses this week!

I had a bad start to my week (I weigh on a Friday morning), Saturday was fine, but Sunday and Monday went to pot a bit. Got back to it on Tuesday, really went for it at the gym and ate really well, so hoping hoping hoping tomorrow morning I see a bit of a loss! Will report back first thing after weighing (stripped right down, after my morning wee, before my cup of tea 😂)

recklessgran · 06/02/2020 22:17

Sausages and stir fry for dinner followed by 2 squares of dark chocolate. I'm knackered on account of yet another long day so I'm off to bed to read a mag and hope I only have to get up once tonight on account of all the water of all the water I've drunk.
@Tryingtwo yes, I feel your pain. I am only drinking water too with the odd black coffee having given up my ten mugs of tea a day habit at the start of this diet. I had no problem drinking the tea but I'm really struggling to force all this water down. Never mind, I'm hoping it will pay off in the end.

MotherOfDragonite · 06/02/2020 22:42

Congratulations @cricketmum84, that's lovely news and so well deserved!

Had a good day although dinner did not go to plan. I didn't allow enough time to bake the sweet potatoes, so instead I made brown rice, Quorn chunks with mushrooms, and steamed broccoli and courgette with some lemon squeezed on top. Finishing the day now with a cup of tea and a rich tea biscuit. Life is good :-)

Egghead68 · 07/02/2020 06:45

Morning. 64.7kg.
Plan
B: Avocado on toast
L: Tofu tacos
D: tbc
Circuits and spinning.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 07/02/2020 06:56

The weight is coming off much slower this month. January was my first month and it just fell off with no effort at all. I dread to think what March will be like! Anyway, it's coming off slowly & steadily. 70.2 kg this morning.

cricketmum84 · 07/02/2020 07:18

Morning all! Thanks for all the lovely posts!

Negotiations still ongoing on flexibility and wfh day! Hopefully should have a definite decision by the end of the day! It feels like it's all a bit of a whirlwind at the moment!

No further weight movement but I did have littlest DDs homemade pizza last night. I had to laugh though as she spent ages making a nice salad for me with a vegan dressing. Came in and said she had chopped the lettuce rather than using bagged stuff. I said erm we don't have any lettuce in?? She had used the Savoy cabbage 😂😂 bless her she was horrified and threw it away and started again.

Plan for today is:
B - satsumas and peppermint tea
L - skipping apart from maybe some grapes or watermelon
D - new Lidl plant based burger and proper chips (hence skipping lunch lol)

Official weigh day tomorrow so hoping for another pound or so pleeeeeease!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Happy Friday!!

Well, my morning weigh-in went so much better than I expected!! Somehow I am 3lb down this week!! Having had two days of eating everything in sight, I really wasn’t expecting that. My period finished earlier this week, so I suspect that has something to do with it!

I’m 70.55kg now, or 11st 1.5. Will be very happy when I can be 60-something kg or 10-something stone.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Skyejuly · 07/02/2020 07:35

Well done Scon!

JontyDoggle37 · 07/02/2020 08:23

Well done @cricketmum84 that’s amazing!!!!
Well done @SconNotScone on the fab loss too. My weight is going up and down by the same two pounds this week, but as I’m still on steroids I’m guessing my body doesn’t know which way I’m going! Last day of then today so hoping that a) I continue to feel well and b) the weight starts coming off, as I have been SAINTLY! 😁

recklessgran · 07/02/2020 08:44

Morning all. At KedsAndTubeSocks I'm in the same boat. After a great start last month I've made no progress whatsoever this month although my diet has stayed the same really. I have been positively angelic just like @JontyDoggle37. I have moved from my desk very little though this week with steps each day under 1k. [Ashamed!] I'm hoping something happens by my weigh day on Monday. This is the problem with daily weighing but I'm not going to stop it as it keeps me focused whether the scales are good or bad. @cricketmum84 hope you can get everything sorted to your satisfaction - you must be so chuffed.
It's my day off today so I'm out shopping and having lunch in the pub with g/f followed by a visit to DM. Have a good day all.

RingofBrightWater · 07/02/2020 09:11

I need to keep motivated. I lost four pounds about two days after starting a diet last Saturday! However in the past few days I have been gaining ! I am quarter of a pound up today on yesterday. This means I will level out tomorrow I imagine having lost about 2 pounds which is fine, but I am puzzled. Am I eating too much, is this normal? Normally on a diet I weigh weekly but i am trying to keep myself motivated as the first couple of weeks are usually when I give up.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 07/02/2020 09:18

@SconNotScone I'm also desperate to see the scales start with a 6 not a 7! It feels like a massive milestone.

Tryingtwo · 07/02/2020 09:24

Good morning all. I didn't report weight yesterday as I had lost 1.6lbs and I thought it was a blip but I'm a further 0.2lbs down today so it was a mini whoosh. Smile

JessJonesJumps · 07/02/2020 09:55

Trying that's fab - well done!

Well, I'm back down today so yesterday seems to have been a blip. When I first went on the scales this morning, it started with a 12 and I was so excited! But, then I got an error message - boo! So, in reality I'm 13.0.2 - fingers crossed for starting with a 12 by the end of the week.

Jonty I'm sure that once you finish with the steroids, you'll have a massive loss. It's amazing, you've stayed focused through being ill.

cricketmum84 · 07/02/2020 10:27

@JessJonesJumps you will get there! You are so close to the 12s now

Great result @Tryingtwo well done!

@RingofBrightWater what does your normal daily eating look like? Might be worth posting it for some opinions and guidance?

So I've turned down the job :( they have advised no flexibility on working hours at all outside core hours of 8.30-5. It means I lose my wfh day, plus the 2 days I can pick littlest up from school which is really important in the last 6 months of primary for her. Plus it's looking like we will have a lot of appts coming up for eldest DD very soon as she has a referral to a gender clinic and has agreed to start counselling again. Current temp employers have said I can have as much flexibility as needed to attend these. So me and DH decided that it's not going to be a good move.

Had a chat with current manager and he advised they have sign off on my role until end October so no real urgency for a perm role just yet!

KnobJockey · 07/02/2020 10:29

Hi! I'm going to post here as I need to start SOMETHING to do with my weight, and 7lb seems achievable- I need some accountability.

I currently weigh 14st1, I had a baby 4 months ago, put on weight during pregnancy, and now put on more since. Damn you tiredness! I plan to try and stick to 12-1500 Cal's a day on mfp, maybe following a few WW/ SW recipes. Ww didn't work for me previously but SW wasn't too bad, but I don't want to pay to go by myself at the minute. Maybe I should. I'll think about it.

B- 100g fat free Greek yoghurt and 30g strawberry granola (185)

Need to think about some meal planning.

JessJonesJumps · 07/02/2020 11:02

Oh cricket that's a shame that they can't be flexible. I sometimes wonder how companies expect families to manage. As soon as you have a child who is poorly or needs extra support, it becomes almost impossible to balance with a career. Good news that your current role is confirmed till October. As you say, that gives you lots of time to work out what to do next. Flowers

KedsAndTubeSocks · 07/02/2020 11:27

Sorry @cricketmum84. I'm pleased you've got security till October though. I suppose that means your youngest will be through primary, so maybe things will work out for the best anyway. KOKO!

KedsAndTubeSocks · 07/02/2020 13:25

Hold the front page!
I ordered a size 14 dress and need to exchange it for a 12. Okay I know Wallis tend to run big, but still, I'm taking it as an NSV!

JontyDoggle37 · 07/02/2020 14:29

Go @KedsAndTubeSocks that’s amazing!!!

JontyDoggle37 · 07/02/2020 14:31

@cricketmum84 sorry about the job BUT it shows you’re in demand and can knock someone’s socks off in interview, and it’s resulted in you knowing your job is ok until October, so actually it’s a win! Now you can plan and look around a bit more if you want to

cricketmum84 · 07/02/2020 15:24

Thanks @JontyDoggle37. It's definitely given me a huge dose of interview confidence!

Just checking in so I don’t lose this - wish I could say the same about my weight, zero weight loss again. Sigh.
