Doing OK today - much less tired.

B: Eclair (300 cals) Hot cross bun (170)
L: Bean salad (280) Shredded cabbage (?120)
S1: Fruit salad (130) Hot cross bun (170)
S2: Yoghurt 120 Pomegranate seeds ?50 Options hot choc 50

MotherOfDragonite · 05/02/2020 17:29

B: Boiled egg with half a bagel and Tabasco sauce, oat milk latte
L: Falafel, houmous and salad
D: Not sure yet. The falafel etc was a bit pointier than anticipated so it's scuppered my plans.

Hello @Vebrithien and congratulations! That's such exciting news!

@cricketmum84 I would definitely take option B. You aren't letting your team down; your organisation is by not having arranged this better. You owe it to yourself to do the right thing for you (and your family) and you deserve this!

MotherOfDragonite · 05/02/2020 17:31

And the good news is that I lost 5 pounds to start me off! (It's been my first week of WW). I'm going to chalk those up to January and start February tracking from this week.

So, 67 lb still to go out of my original 72 lb goal. And hoping to lose 7 lb in February.

chrispenrallt1 · 05/02/2020 17:43

Well I managed to get into my jeans after my holiday. I do feel as though I’ve lost a bit and I am hoping for a loss on Friday. Been out walking today with dog twice but forgot to charge the Fitbit so no steps recorded.
Breakfast scrambled egg
Lunch. Tuna and avocado wrap
Dinner chicken with green salad and garlic sprouts.
Don’t get downwind of me tonight!
I shall be blaming the dog
Reckless gran how long did it take for you to get into Ketosis and do you test for it? Total newcomer to Keto !

MotherOfDragonite · 05/02/2020 17:56

Oh, and 12k steps today (just the usual school/work run!), but not on track with drinking enough water and need to get much better and remembering to take it with me and drink regularly...

JontyDoggle37 · 05/02/2020 18:56

@cricketmum84 great news on the interview! And you can go in feeling brain confident because of your skills and body confident because of your amazing weight loss!

KedsAndTubeSocks · 05/02/2020 18:58

I seem to be doing OMAD today, unplanned. Too many after school activities and no nice food in the fridge. DC had beans on toast but I'm not tempted!

DandyAF · 05/02/2020 19:22

What is OMAD?

@MotherOfDragonite ooh congrats on your first week weight loss! I started WW on Monday and have 77 lbs to lose so I shall be following how you get on with interest!

I’m bad at tracking water too and wish the WW app had a water tracking section. The old handbooks used to and it was useful. I always forgot! I know there’s apps for that but I’d rather have just the one for all good, drink & exercise tracking.

Ihatesundays · 05/02/2020 19:50

No change - at 70.2kg I am DESPERATE for that small amount to come off!
Regardless of no weight loss I continue to tone up and shrink. So many of my clothes are ridiculously baggy. I think I am almost going to get into a size 12 bottoms soon. I darent buy too much stuff in case it all ends up too big.

Looking for good sources of protein if anyone has any good tips!

JessJonesJumps · 05/02/2020 20:14

I think I've been ok today for food. DH has succumbed to the same lurgy as mini-JJJ so I have been running between them whilst trying to work.

B: pecans and berries
L: half a tuna sandwich
D: veggie haggis and mashed turnip
Snacks: rice cake, 2 spoonfuls of ice cream

KedsAndTubeSocks · 05/02/2020 20:21

One Meal A Day @DandyAF. It's usually a planned dieting tactic, but in this case there was just no food in the house that I fancied

@ihatesundays I'm also trying not to buy too much at the moment. I think I definitely need a new sports bra though. I had sore boobs after training today!

recklessgran · 05/02/2020 20:53

@Somesortofzilla in answer to your question about my occasionally ridiculous working hours the answer is that I really love my job and have a very relaxed life otherwise. Also, no children to cater for, taxi and run around after, no TOTM making me feel yuk etc. I know how lucky I am but funnily enough I do sometimes miss the crazy days when we had 5DD's at home. There was never a dull moment! So, enjoy it while you can.
@Tryingtwo how much water do you manage? I'm struggling to get 2 litres a day down.
@JontyDoggle37 I'm pleased you're feeling better but in awe of your efforts as I believe steroids make you retain water don't they - even the short term ones?
@cricketmum84 well done on your loss - glad it's working for you again and good luck for tomorrow, everything crossed.
@MotherOfDragonite that's a brilliant loss and I'm wildly impressed with your 12k steps. I don't think I've exceeded 6k any day this year yet.
@chrispenrallt1 it took me about 4 days to get in to ketosis. Days 2 and 3 I had a crashing headache I'm guessing due to the caffeine and sugar withdrawal. I did buy the ketostix from Amazon and check about once a week to make sure that I'm still a fat burning machine. I don't really know why I feel the need to check as I haven't cheated once but I guess I just find it reassuring to POAS!

MotherOfDragonite · 05/02/2020 20:55

Hello @DandyAF, we seem to be on a rather similar journey! I love this thread as the idea of losing 7 lb a month seems so much more reasonable (and therefore possible) than losing the whole 72 lb. Although of course those 7lbs would add up... Wink

Totally agree with you that the WW app needs a water tracking bit!

@Ihatesundays I really like tofu for protein! I usually steam it and have it with a bit of soy sauce. It's also lovely mashed up with some veg (tomato, cucumber, red pepper, coriander, etc) and with some lime/lemon and soy sauce on it all.

MotherOfDragonite · 05/02/2020 20:58

Thank you so much @recklessgran. I don't do it 'intentionally' to be honest, it's just the school runs and getting to work! It doesn't seem to affect my body shape or weight loss/gain at all although I guess it must be good for my heart or something!

DownUdderer · 06/02/2020 02:37

I’ve just had a bean salad for lunch. I had three big eggs scrambled for breakfast

I have been eating loads of avocados, normally half a day. They’re tasty and filling.

The last three days I’ve avoided cheese, bread and crackers. I’m down a couple of pounds and happy with that!

I need to go and fill up my glass with water right now! This thread always reminds me!

DownUdderer · 06/02/2020 02:43

Welcome to new joiners. If you keep up with this thread and share your day, it can really help. It’s helped me over the last few months. I’m sure I would have given up during a long plateau if It hadn’t have been for this thread. I’m a pound away from a three stone loss! I honestly didn’t realise I was over weight, I was deep in denial. I’m so happy now it’s shifting. I choose clothes in the morning because I want to wear them because they look good instead of just grabbing what was there. I just survived in stretchy dresses.

JontyDoggle37 · 06/02/2020 03:41

@Downudderer I always think of you now when I’m working my way through my glasses of water for the day, it really does help!
@recklessgran thank you - being so ill has really made me focus on how I wasn’t looking after myself. I think because I’m drinking a lot of water it’s combatting the steroid effect. Also, steroids just normally make you really hungry, but I’m just not that bothered this time round for some reason. Supposed to be getting better sleep too but sat here awake at 3.40am on here! Better try and get back to sleep, got to be up at 5...🙈😴

chrispenrallt1 · 06/02/2020 06:19

Reckless gran, thanks for that info, have ordered the sticks. Just back from dog walking, and I’ve made sure to have fit bit on and charged.
Breakfast today cheese omelette
Lunch buttery cabbage and bacon with salad
Dinner salmon with salad
I will have coffee with one teaspoon of cream 4 times plus the water.
I’m going to weigh tomorrow.
I feel better for not eating the bread, you don’t want to know how many croissants I ate on holiday. Must remember to drink more water, I must remember to carry the bottle to my desk!
Onwards and downwards!

cricketmum84 · 06/02/2020 06:47

Morning all!

@DownUdderer I always think of you when I'm refilling my water too! You have obviously made an impression on us!

Just about to start some interview prep. Bit of research on the company and a few rereads of my c.v. Im so nervous! Have picked out a nice tartan shift dress with a black collar. It was a bit tight before Christmas so I'm praying it's going to fit. Not sure what to wear if it's too tight still.

Plan for today is:
B - 20g granola and alpro plain yoghurt
L - beetroot soup
D - littlest DDs night to cook! She's doing French stick pizzas and garlic and herb wedges so I think I'll just make a nice salad and have a few of the wedges. Really don't want to sustain this weeks epic loss with bread and melty cheese! Well I do lol but I'm not going to!

Will update later after the scary interview!

@cricketmum84 nerves are good, it means you care. You’ll rock it!!

Home42 · 06/02/2020 07:26

First weigh in for the month, down1kg from 74 to 73. 8kg to go!

KedsAndTubeSocks · 06/02/2020 07:30

Good luck @cricketmum84 🤞🤞🤞

MsTSwift · 06/02/2020 07:30

Well done all! Not much to add as I joined this group and have reached my target. It took 3.5 months to lose just under 2 stone. I am now 63kg so 10 stone but am 5 ft 6 so my bmi 22.

When I started in Oct I was 11st 9 76 kg bmi 27 so overweight.

Dropped 2 dress sizes and it is very noticeable. Any tips for maintaining?

Egghead68 · 06/02/2020 07:48

Morning losers! 64.6kg. Aiming for another sub 1500 calorie day (yesterday was good) and doing a spinning class.

Good luck @cricketmum84!

recklessgran · 06/02/2020 09:00

@cricketmum84 Good Luck this morning. Just remember you have the not inconsiderable weight of this thread behind you. You're going to be fine!
@MsTSwift congratulations that's a brilliant result! I'm no expert but from what I've read it's a good idea to keep a food diary for a few weeks, weigh weekly and then apparently you can tell how much and what you can get away with in order to maintain. Not sure what kind of diet you've been following. In my case [Keto] assuming I get there eventually, it will be a case of adding one carb every other day then weighing after a week to see what that's done and acting accordingly.
I hope you're going to lurk here to get our support and also to give us your maintaining tips! It would be good to know from someone who's actually got there.'Have a great day all.
