Morning all. Wooop! I’m having a mini woosh! Another 0.7lbs down since yesterday to 12st 1.9. And I’m not even ‘dieting’. I got so miserable keep trying to diet that I decided I was just going to focus on positive habits and being mindful about portion size. So my positive habits are at least 5 fruit and veg a day and 5 large glasses of water and a big reduction in wine intake. And I’m losing weight, with no calorie counting or trying obsessively to hit certain macros. So much better.
On a slight negative note, asthma/cough got worse yesterday and I felt quite unwell by bedtime so went to bed at the same time as my son. Going back to the doctors today hopefully to see what they recommend.

cricketmum84 · 11/02/2020 07:52

Whoop down another pound!! 16lbs for the month which is more than I lost in December and January combined! Feel like I'm on a proper downward whoosh now!

@lboogy I honestly don't understand how people manage to get 10k steps in a day?! My DH got 16k in yesterday but he walked 2.5 miles into work and back and did an hours walk at lunch. I just literally do not have time to do that!

I do love a mini whoosh @JontyDoggle37. How are you feeling this morning?

Wfh again today as I have a looooong virtual training course to plough through and it's impossible to take it in when you are in an open plan office. So plan for today is:

B - an apple and peppermint tea
L - slim noodles
D - jerk roasted butternut squash slices with rocket and tomato salad
S - vegan jerky and blood orange

Stay safe out there and have a great Tuesday!

Just spotted my typo...

6 pounds!! Not 16 (I wish!!!!)

DandyAF · 11/02/2020 08:09

cricketmum 16lbs for the month? In eleven days? I’ll do what you’re doing Grin

I’m guessing you meant 6? If so that’s still brilliant.

I’m doing 10k steps daily at the moment. It is a concerted effort and I need to plan, but walking my dog is how I do it most of it. I could never manage it before getting her last year!

DandyAF · 11/02/2020 08:10

Ah x-posts!

cricketmum84 · 11/02/2020 08:45

Haha sorry for the confusion!

Eldest DD is constantly asking for a doggo. Unfortunately I don't think little ivycat would be impressed!! It would be a great way to make sure I get out and walking every day though.

Good morning all, glad you're back to losing cricketmum84
Another slight loss today.

NerrSnerr · 11/02/2020 10:39

Hi all. Your loss is amazing cricketmum. I hope it continues! I have stayed the same the last couple of days, have eaten too many biscuits but hoping to stay on track today. I need to get my head straight as I want to get under 11 stone in the next couple of weeks.

recklessgran · 11/02/2020 11:11

Morning all. Great loss @cricketmum84. I can't get my steps past 4k even though I'm making a conscious effort to get up from my desk more often and do a few little jobs around the house in between working so I understand what you mean. I'm obviously on a very slow trajectory now as my weight is static for a few days and then shows a tiny loss. I'm trying to be positive as all the tiny losses will add up in the end and I did make a very good start. It's frustrating though as I haven't cheated or added anything to my diet. I'm desperate to get into the 12 stones but that 2.5lbs seems to be stubbornly staying put!
Waving to @Somekindofzilla missing you on here and hope you're O.K.

MotherOfDragonite · 11/02/2020 11:26

Wonderful loss @cricketmum84, well done!

I am feeling really good and really on track again -- fingers crossed for another loss in week 2 of WW as it will be my weigh in day tomorrow. The sun is shining and today is my day at home doing housework and life admin. The plan today:

B: boiled egg on sourdough toast with Tabasco sauce
L: Itsu chili miso soup (1pp and surprisingly tasty)
D: ??? maybe a chickpea and roast veg salad
S: banana, nectarine, sugar-free jelly

DownUdderer · 11/02/2020 11:47

I've not weighed today I'll check tomorrow. We had a huge power cut following a big storm. We went from Sunday morning until Tuesday evening with no power! I've never known anything like it!

I've not had the best food but we were stuck with no oven or hob or fridge!

Koko everyone.

MotherOfDragonite · 11/02/2020 12:06

@recklessgran good for you for keeping on going! I wonder if there's some small change that you could make that would make a difference for you? (For example last time I lwas dieting and stalled a bit I switched the balance in my snacks from carbs to fat -- used just the same number of points/calories overall, but somehow it suited my metabolism better and I began to lose again).

Also, of course -- all those tiny losses do add up! Keep your eye on the prize! Wink

recklessgran · 11/02/2020 12:27

@MotherofDragonite thankyou for the encouragement. I'm not eating carbs [well, very little and only from veg] as I'm doing Keto. I've been having 2 squares of over 85% cocoa dark chocolate or a pot of sugar free jelly after dinner so I suspect that's going to have to go. I've been here so many times before i.e lost a stone and then got stuck, fell off wagon, gained it all back, rinse, repeat. This time though I'm trying hard to stay with it. I'm even slowly buying clothes in a 14 ready -[currently in 16's] need another half stone off and they'll look great. For now I can get them on but need to breathe in for them to look nice.

Nomorerainplease · 11/02/2020 12:27

Just posting my loss
Was 63.1kg 1st Feb
Now 61.9kg!

Nomorerainplease · 11/02/2020 12:27

(But I don’t feel any different...)

JessJonesJumps · 11/02/2020 12:40

Well I've either put on 0.4lbs or lost 0.4lbs - my scales couldn't decide today. Our house is old and the floors in the bathroom are quite uneven. Usually the scales settle eventually but not today. I'll try again tomorrow.
Some good losses. You're doing so well cricket !
Jonty poor you. You're not getting any respite at all.
We still have snow here. Not enough for sledging but we did manage a snowball fight.

Skyejuly · 11/02/2020 12:50

My official weigh day is tomorrow but I had a terrible weekend and today's not been great. I just feel so run down :( I have lost a stone which is almost half of my goal yet I still feel the same. My face is still so puffy!

JessJonesJumps · 11/02/2020 14:56

Skye did you take measurements or photos? Sometimes they help you to see the difference. Even though you can't see it, there must be a difference if you've lost a stone Flowers

Mimilondon39 · 11/02/2020 17:19

Right please can I join?! Inspired by your losses. Going to be 45 in two months and want to feel amazing. I’m 11st 3 and 5ft 6. Hoping to knock a bit off that so will use the WW code thank you. I love wine (!) and am very sociable so let me know what colour to go for if you have any idea?!

cricketmum84 · 11/02/2020 18:26

Hey @Mimilondon39 and welcome :) I've gone through all 3 plans now and findin the most losses on the original blue plan.

It totally depends on your lifestyle and the way you eat, one is much more free foods like rice, pasta and potatoes on top of the lean meat and fruit and veg but much lower points allowance which is great if you cook at home a lot and don't really snack. The other is free foods of fruit and non starchy veg only but a higher points allowance which works better if you eat out a lot.

As a new joiner you have a lifestyle quiz when you sign up which will advise on which plan could be best for you :)

If one isn't working then just switch :) but do give it a couple of weeks on each one!

Good luck!

Skye do you drink alcohol? My puffiness went when I quit all alcohol.

DownUdderer · 12/02/2020 03:38

I’m having sushi for lunch, yum. I need to drink more water though.

I’ve been looking at photos of the snow in the UK! Amazing!

I’m going to go out for a walk this evening. It’s nice to get out and burn a few calories but more importantly for me it really keeps my mental health good.

Skyejuly · 12/02/2020 07:00

I don't drink alcohol. I do have thyroid issues and I think I have a naturally chubbier face lol...my clothes do fit better but I think I expect instant results 🥺.

Official weigh day today and I've put on 1.5lb.... bugger!!!! That said not had a brilliant few days and I am now due my period.

cricketmum84 · 12/02/2020 07:07

Morning all!

Jealous of your walk @DownUdderer. I genuinely haven't left the house since Friday 😂 it's been horrendous here! Oh I tell a lie I had to do a wheelie bin rescue mission in the wind... in my dressing gown. And here comes the next storm shortly!

No weight change today, had a v low cal day yesterday. Turned out DD had made my butternut squash into soup so just had roasted broccoli and asparagus with a slice of garlic baguette. Starving this morning but hopeful I'll see some movement by tomorrow.

Plan for today:
B - black coffee, satsuma and ww lemon meringue bar
L - small wholemeal roll with quorn smoky ham
D - chilli non carne and cauliflower and broccoli rice

And huge thanks for all the support and encouragement yesterday :)

NSV after constantly booking up my jeans I ordered some size 18 jeggings and 16 tops. They all fit and I'm about to go into work feeling confident in clothes that actually fit!!!

Plus that awful lower belly us mums seem to get is definitely disappearing!!

I'll try get some good pics later :)
