Steps and fbw today. Over on cals by about 350 but man the ice cream mars bar was lush. And Carbonara for tea which is always calorific. Big lunch too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2019 07:03

Sts at 124. Gonna look at reverse now

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2019 07:15

Down 1, so average is .2 up - confessed at last to Fitbit.
Are you asking for advice from the coaches life? Well done getting to this point
Doing the free les mills on demand trial with a view to the yearly membership that’s 12 months for the price of 9, going to ask himself for cash towards it as Christmas present if I like it. Did a barbell workout but didn’t quite finish it, at least I got 35 mins done and a brisk 15 mins around uhf block before work - on over 3,500 steps so that’s a start

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2019 08:25

There is a video not. I do the Les mills barbell but I'm not motivated by home work outs so well done you

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2019 08:42

I’m an avid home work out’er, used to be a slave to Davina😂 I would love to go back to my gym but even my kids are terrified I’ll knock my back out again. Clearly not a good patient....
Good luck with the reverse

Happierwithouthim · 27/11/2019 10:44

Hi all
I'm reading just not posting much, still haven't lost weekend bloat (toilet issuesBlush) There's sweetcorn in today's lunch so hopefully that'll help Grin

Lost pin for fitbit strap on Sat eve and it'll be Sat before I can get it fixed so I'm without my Fitbit at the moment.

I'm not great for home workouts either but on a style thread yoga with adrienne has been recommended for shaping legs, it's just a 12 min programme so I'm planning on starting that, not sure when though

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2019 11:27

Les Mills mightn’t be a runner, won’t seem to work on my TV and it’s not doable (with my eyesight!) on laptop or phone although I struggled through this morning. I’m not giving up yet, I need some sort of activity based hobby as I’m going out of my mind with boredom - I’ve know it won’t fix my weight issue but if I’m exercising I’m not eating.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 27/11/2019 11:33

Is that the second strap that went on you happier? Or am I having a false memory 🤔

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 27/11/2019 11:37

Not it's an ebay strap, the pin kept popping out but I always got it, this time it popped out and I lost it!

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2019 18:17

6500 steps as WFH. CBA to go to the gym either.
Food all good though. Unless the biccies call

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2019 19:10

Just over 11,000 steps - got around 300 cals left, undecided as to what to have

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 27/11/2019 19:58

Weight today was 12s2lbs.
Steps 11703 so far, but won't be much more. I got to work from home this afternoon, so not as many steps. But it was lovely to surprise dd2 at school today, she usually goes to an after school club.
Food today
B- belvita hazelnut tops and coffee
L- ciabatta roll and then I chopped up some olives, tomatoes, spring onions, red pepper and a couple of sundried tomatoes and mixed it up with hummus, it was bloody lovely! Bag of popchips. Two coffees
D- strong roots kale and quinoa burger, oven chips and mixed veg.
After I had some mint crispy thins from lidl, but trying really hard not to go and scoff the rest!
Lots of water today too, about 1.5 litres.
I've managed to stay within cals, and I'm trying just to eat my 'allowed' cals without going into the extra ones that I've gained from walking.
I have enough left to have a coffee and a biscuit or something. Think I will go for the coffee in a bit as I still have a bit more work to do.

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2019 20:18

Your food sounds yummy curvy, and you’re down a pound! Well done you, on fire😉

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 27/11/2019 20:58

Thanks not, my food was very nice today. I figured if I'm going to lose weight, then the food I'm eating better be worth it!
I'm trying really hard not to get too excited about the lb, still have to work out my average.
Not, did you decide on something to eat?

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/11/2019 06:47

Great start not. Defo don't use the calories Fitbit sets you. Stay as you are as planned. They are notoriously unreliable for counting calories in trackers

Came in at 8581 steps. Started walking in the spot but got bored.
Sts today

Not2bObvious · 28/11/2019 07:30

Mixing me up with curvy life, my food for yesterday was a disgrace after my breakfast - it’s living proof I suppose that calories are just calories, as long as you’re eating at a deficit you’ll drop weight over time. Of course how good it is for you is a different point! Not sure how you’re tracking your activity cals curvy, but I second that, exercise cals are vastly overestimated. Try to stick to your allocation at least 80% of the time, don’t count on exercise cals regularly.

I’m down 1.4 so I’m showing .5 of a loss at this stage of the week but with Christmas meal out tomorrow and another meal out Saturday, it can go badly wrong.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 28/11/2019 07:38

Oh and I used 220 of my remaining cals on half a bueno and a small pack of cheese puffs

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 28/11/2019 08:34

Oops soz. Fab going curvy

Happierwithouthim · 28/11/2019 08:56

Well ladies, sweetcorn did the trick Wink I'm now 2lbs lighter than I was mon/tues/wed. It has messed up my weekly average so I'll be showing a gain instead of a loss but I know that's not the case so I'm ok with it.

Did my grocery shopping yesterday and it's high protein & virtually no treats. Paul McDermott's podcast mentioning not buying multipacks of sweets/chocolate really resonated with me. I bought a tin of freddos bars for the dc and had one and one only. Still sent me over my cals as I'd forgotten to put in burger buns for my dinner at that point into mfp.

Circuits class went well and I'll get to gym Friday and maybe Sat this weekend too plus dog walking.

Not2bObvious · 28/11/2019 09:22

Sweet corn you say...hmmm
Well done on the drop, I didn’t bother putting in Monday or Tuesdays weight as I knew they’d mess up my average and I always remember Richie saying you can leave out an unnaturally high weigh in, that 4-5 will provide enough of a baseline to give an accurate average. Of course now I’ve no choice but to admit the next 3 weigh ins! Sometimes it wouldn’t bother me but this week it did so I’m taking advantage of the get out clause😉

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 28/11/2019 21:14

It's ok, I don't mind being mixed up with not Grin
Yy to not having the extra cals, I've not so far and I know they always over estimate. I use a galaxy fit watch, which links to my Samsung health and then syncs with mfp.

Another Ib down today, but I know that will change.
Steps today 14745.
Food
B- belvita hazelnut tops and coffee
L- co op gunpowder potato chana masala, satsuma, about a pint of water and a handful of plain kettle crisps, coffee
D- half a falafel pizza, a few cherry tomatoes and some vimto squash. Then the last of the crispy mint thins.
All within cals, but a very carby day! (And I could still eat more, but not going to, it is just my hormones!)
Bloody knackered today, stayed up later than I wanted to last night because DD1 called, and that is obviously lovely, but it did put me behind with my report writing, so woke up at 5:30 today to do the last one.

Not2bObvious · 28/11/2019 21:27

Oh believe me, you wouldn’t want to be mixed up with a diet reprobate like me curvy, I’m a disgrace😂 Seriously I can’t believe I’ve spent around 10 years losing and gaining the same stone! I used to think I’d get there by 40, now I’m halfway between 40 & 50 (oh where did it go...) and I’m living in hope.
Used up what I saved and a little more, hoping for a non flux day tomorrow

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 29/11/2019 06:44

Maybe I'll remove them Grin
Had sweetcorn again yesterday just to keep things moving Wink
I was in bed early last night, I'm tired these days. Not drinking this weekend fact

Need to figure out something to wear for Christmas party

Haven't weighed yet today, getting up in two minutes

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/11/2019 07:06

Up 1/4 today but did weights and 22k plus steps

Not2bObvious · 29/11/2019 07:34

I vote remove them, they’re clearly a blip and fairs fair, you’re putting the effort in.
I’m up .8, that’d be salt from my snacks last night. But my average is still showing a .5 drop so it’s not as bad as I first thought. But of a headache after wine last night, not a lot of wine but probably on too empty a stomach. Meal tonight is the last sitting so I’d say it’ll be close to 10 starting. Better make sure I line my stomach!
