Hi everyone!

I’m starting a VLCD (Slim and Save) on 1st Jan and wondering is anyone starting too? Or Cambridge, Exabte etc and maybe we could keep each other motivated?

I don't really understand, the Exante Facebook page is full of folk having consistently big losses or at least losses and talking about their body shape changing so rapidly they don't recognise themselves and yet I'm putting on weight! Something is not right!!
Trust me to be the first person who sticks to the diet but still manages to gain weight
Hmm

BishopBrennansArse · 24/01/2019 13:37

Yeah I'm seeing those massive losses and being a bit 😫 but I do have measurable loss so need to stop thinking in weight terms.

Kittensgalore · 24/01/2019 15:23

Straight after I posted that last moan I had another look on Facebook Exante and someone has posted who had not lost anything for 6 weeks and then a woosh on the 7th week and she had posted her 1st and 7th week photo and the difference is incredible. So I need to hold that in mind and just keep ploughing on no matter what. And yes Bishop those measurements ain't lying!

Hi everyone,

Nice to meet you.

I started LighterLife on Monday and have join the new free slimming meetings.

Looking forward to my first weigh in x

makingmiracles · 24/01/2019 22:33

Well done everyone on your losses!

Havent posted in over a week, just been hibernating a lot, tired still, cold still, not helped by toddler dd with a cold who is not sleeping well due to cold! Had a complete mare of a day today and took all the strength in the world to not come home mid morning and indulge in cereal/buttery toast/ roll ups. I’m on day 17 ish and day 12 of not smoking Shock Halo

On days I’m finding it hard I’ve taken to eating a little Stilton spread on cucumber slices, seems to help and I console myself with the thought it’s not bread or pasta or choc so hopefully won’t make too much difference.
Every time I get a craving for something naughty I just keep reminding myself that I need to stick with it, it will be worth it by the summer to not be as hot and sweaty and not be self conscious and worried about what to wear and being able to get in a swimsuit and take the kids swimming, we have a massive outdoor lido locally and the kids nag about it all summer long every year.

Has anybody been watching the shut ins? Could not quite beleive the amount of Chinese that young women on the latest episode had on her plate, makes me realise this is why I need to get back on track now and not let it get that far out of control.

user1468234673 · 25/01/2019 12:31

Had my first meeting last night. Was so good and I came out feeling very motivated. We actually talked about WHY I was eating this way not just how to not do it, ha.

If anyone is looking for free weigh ins and group support I'd deffo recommend LighterLife Xpress

How's your week been?x

rainbowgrimm · 26/01/2019 08:46

Morning everyone, hope everyone's all set for the weekend.
I've been a bit rubbish with my water intake the last few days so that's my aim for the weekend.
I had to put myself to bed early on Thursday as I'd had such a rubbish day I could of eaten a family bar of chocolate. A mint chocolate slim & save bar and Netflix wasn't quite the same!

Kittensgalore · 26/01/2019 11:56

I went right off plan last night. But back on it today. Weighed this morning and I'm down 11 ibs since I weighed 4 weeks ago so essentially haven't lost anything for the last couple of weeks still and haven't made the stone in a month I'd been hoping for but can only assume I will start losing again soon. Going to try very hard with water intake too as I've not been drinking enough either. Have a massive litre and half water bottle which looks ridiculous but at least I can measure how much I'm drinking.
How's everyone else doing?

Pitapotamus · 26/01/2019 14:49

I went massively off plan too kittens, two days in a row I just ate normal food!! I think it’s difficult to stick to the plan when it’s no giving results. I’m back on again now and I’ve been to the gym so hopefully will get back into ketosis quickly.

Tiptopj · 26/01/2019 21:16

Well 2 weeks in an I've lost 8 lbs. I'm going the 3X exante products and one protein meal a dsy so I'm quite happy with that. The first week was hell but I'm amazed that I'm already finding I'm not overly hungry. I had 3 skinny sausages for tea and OMG were they amazing Smile

NorfolkEnchance · 27/01/2019 05:33

I've totally fucked up the last few days. Eaten utter shite for no bloody reason, its like I literally couldn't stop shovelling crap into my mouth.

BishopBrennansArse · 27/01/2019 10:37

I upped my water intake yesterday and 2lb came off so I'm wondering if I wasn't quite drinking enough.

BishopBrennansArse · 27/01/2019 14:32

Without wishing to sound like a knob is there a difference? I'm struggling to see one.
Oh and excuse the laundry 😳

I think there is a difference. But it’s difficult to tell how much because the lighting is different and your’re wearing different clothes in each.

I think an underwear shot is the best way to judge change over time (not suggesting you post that on here though!!)

I wish I’d done a “before” photo when I started!

Kittensgalore · 27/01/2019 18:13

I think there is a massive difference Bishop. Although as Pitapotamus says its tricky because you have different clothes on but I see a big difference. Could easily be a different person in the two photos.

I'm done with the scales. I'd put on again when I weighed this morning. So if that was accurate (scales jumping about) I've only lost 7ibs after a month!

The bathroom is being re-done so floor not completely level so that was probably affecting the scales but still it's very demoralising. So have hidden the scales because I do feel slightly less fat and I want to carry on with it. Some clothes that were very tight are now wearable so must be making some progress. Have also been the gym and feel like I will get my lazy arse back there this week too.

Don't worry about slipping up Norfolk, it's inevitable I think, last time I tried this I kept slipping up and each slip up would get bigger/last longer whereas this time I'm going to accept that I will have some days off but then just try and get back on plan ASAP.

Kittensgalore · 27/01/2019 18:13

I also thinking that not drinking enough water is part of my problem. I find it so hard though.

BishopBrennansArse · 27/01/2019 18:28

Thanks all. People who know me in RL say I look different but they're not sure how so that's reassuring!

rainbowgrimm · 28/01/2019 09:20

Bishop I can see a massive difference around your waist, well done.
I'm working on the water today, that was my plan over the weekend but it didn't really happen.

Eliza9917 · 28/01/2019 10:06

I fell off the wagon last week too. I even had a certain fast food twice in the same day.

Day 1 again for me. Again. Back to 14st 13lb this morning.

Pitapotamus · 28/01/2019 10:15

Despite completely eating normally for a couple of days and breaking the diet a little on a few days too I seem to have finally lost some weight. I really don’t understand this diet!! Not complaining when it’s this way round though!!

Kittensgalore · 28/01/2019 10:40

Well done Pitapotamus!!! You must have needed more fuel!
Well looks like most of us have fallen off the wagon but I'm back on it today but struggling with feeling soooooo hungry. So even though the keto stick things didn't look like I was massively in ketosis I must have been because I've not been hungry like this since the start. Also trying to drink more water but it's freezing today so it's hard 😩

MissElaineNeus · 28/01/2019 10:48

Well done to everyone picking themselves up and having another go - hardest thing when it's so easy to just say fuck it.

I'm doing OK, no cheats bar one day when I was so hungry I had an extra meal. Decided to weigh now, so this week I was 9st 2.8lb which is 12 lb lost in 3 weeks - happy with that as I'm old and short.

If I have a good week next week I could be in the 8 stones, which is when I start feeling massively better :)

BishopBrennansArse · 30/01/2019 12:33

I do not understand this - I've stuck to plan rigidly and weight is creeping on despite seeing real shape change

Kittensgalore · 30/01/2019 16:00

I've been the same Bishop, can't remember exact figures now but I lost first couple of weeks but then put on and then lost a pound or two but then had put them back on. So demoralising. I've only come off plan once, have added in some additional protein at times but very small amounts and never gone over 800 calories so should absolutely be losing.

Like you I'm noticing a change in body shape too although not as significant as I'd hoped for. Am determined to continue regardless of the scales. I've put the scales away for now and am going to buy something new in the next size down as an incentive. Your photos show a massive difference. I've been reading more about the woosh effect and seems it is the fat cells deflating but anticipating they will be filled up again with fat soon so they fill with water which is the weight gain/lack of loss.

Once they register that they aren't going to get filled back up with fat they deflate and that is when the woosh happens. Makes sense to me so I'm keeping going. I reckon my fat cells would be very stubborn!

Eliza9917 · 30/01/2019 16:14

What plan are you following Bishop? Maybe you need to add some calories in, like the 200 calorie meal?
