Anyone doing one at the moment?

I've started exante this morning. Last year I lost 3 stone with Cambridge but Exante is loads cheaper. No meeting though so I need moral support if any one can give it!

Starting weight 249.2lb. Awful I know so no need to tell me.

Thanks Buxton I hope you enjoy your lunch.

Due to a lack of stock my order this time is a mix of shakes and bars/cookies

Day 1 - yesterday - This time around I was less hungry between meals. I think my test week last month might have helped with my snacking as I stopped needing to graze afterwards and so i'd been doing okay with a few slip ups in that area since. Meal 1 and 3 were shakes and meal 2 was a cookie. The cookie was nice and not huge but still took me about 40 minutes to eat. By evening I was starving. Made up the pina colada shake and drank barely any, it was vile.

Day 2 - today - Not very hungry again. Meal 1 was a shake and 2 was a bar which I cut in half and had the second half 2 hours after the first half. About to have meal 3 which again will be a shake.

I wont be doing big updates everyday since I don't want to clutter up the thread but I will post my weigh ins each week and anything noteable

Buxtonstill · 09/08/2017 07:18

17 st 12 and 1/4. I so want to get nearer 17 7 and away from the 18's! Hope everybody is doing ok, and drinking lots of water :-)

UpinScots · 11/08/2017 10:48

So as stated a few posts up I started my weigh in at 13 stone 5 (86.2kg).
Today is day 6 and i've been on total solutions all week, haven't had anything else except water. Haven't felt the need to have a 4th shake. I haven't been weighed all week and so had a quick peek today.....

I'm 13 stone 7! I haven't lost anything and i've actually gained a couple pounds! SadAngry

Is this normal?

I think i'm just going to have a little cry and hope next week is better

Buxtonstill · 11/08/2017 16:01

17 st 12 and 1/2. But still the right side of 18! I now fit into Marks and Spencer jeans, which makes me very happy! Have been trying them on every week, and the button hole has been getting closer and closer!

UpinScots · 12/08/2017 04:10

@Buxtonstill That's great!

This morning i'm 13 4 and a half which while only half a lb lighter than last week is still better than 2 lbs more. After thinking about it, I started the pill 4 days ago and although PCOS does like to mess with my cycle I think if it were running regular i'd actually be due on which would help explain such a poor loss/gain.

I thought about falling off the wagon with pizza but I didn't so i'm happy about that.

Question. What do you guys following VLCD plan to do after you reach your target goals?

Buxtonstill · 12/08/2017 10:48

17 11 and 1/2 ! I never want to see the 18's again! Keep with it UpinScots. I have had quite a few weeks when I was static. It's bloody hard to keep motivated I know, but I even celebrate a 4oz loss now! Better off than on. As to when I come off this plan? I honestly think my tastes are changing. I could have once eaten junk all day, but now I have gotten out of the habit it honestly honestly does not appeal that much anymore. We went to the beach a month or so ago, and had a portion of fish and chips to eat on the beach. They were nice enough, but I couldn't finish a small portion. And the scary thing was, walking back to the station, I had to go into a newsagent and buy chocolate and crisps for the way home. I remember that Morgan Spurlock film, where he ate Macdonalds for a month and said he actually felt he was addicted to junk food, the more he ate. And although my experience was hardly a scientific study, it was weird how eating carb heavy foods left me craving more.
Doing this plan, the only cravings I ever get are for something sweet, in which case I have a chupa chups sugar free lolly (26 calories and lasts ages) or a bag of those salt and vinegar pea snacks, or a small portion of salted nuts if a savoury pang strikes. That way I fill the taste craving, but without loads of carbs that set off another craving. I also chew sugar free gum a lot.

Hello everyone
I'm on day 6 and think I am properly in ketosis today. I had a wobble yesterday (literally). I felt hungry and spaced out about 2pm. I got a pot with egg, spinach and smoked salmon from Marks and that did the trick. I do a lot of walking and I think my body just needed more fuel.
As my goal is lose 44kg I've decide to split it into 11 lots of 4kg. So
Goal 1 - lose 4kg

Buxtonstill · 12/08/2017 14:20

I'm dreadful with metric! Just had to look up 44kg! Good luck on the plan. Remember to drink loads of water, it really really helps.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 12/08/2017 15:16

Thanks. You are doing brilliantly

Pinkiepromisex · 12/08/2017 20:21

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing ok. I am back from hols so will be hitting the scales in the morning. I will let you know the damage Blush and then back to it. Christmas countdown anyone Grin

Buxtonstill · 13/08/2017 08:49

17 10 and 3/4! Losing half a ton six ounces at a time! Welcome back Pinkie. Remember, unless you ate 5000 calories a day, a lot of the weight you put on will be water and will go quite fast. Just think, if you hadn't been on this plan before holiday, you would have holiday weight and more to lose. I'm with you for countdown to Christmas, although mine will be holiday too, as I go away in November for 5 weeks on my annual trip, although I end up swimming 3-4 miles a day so that will be good this year to see the difference. Will be taking shakes with me. We go to the same place event year so it will be interesting to see the locals, our taxi driver who picks us up etc because hopefully I will have lost about 5 stones by then.

BillBrysonsBeard · 13/08/2017 09:00

I'm doing 'shake that weight' which is two shakes, a small bar and a low carb meal which puts me in ketosis. Sometimes have a sugar free jelly too. I'm 2 months in and 2.5 stone down SmileI've not been tempted once. Long may it continue..

Pinkiepromisex · 13/08/2017 10:03

Ok. Post hols weigh in 11 stone. Really pleased with that and starting again today. 5 weeks hols sounds amazing Buxton and 5 stones down they will see a huge difference! Be back to catch up on the posts later.

Ronnyhotdog · 13/08/2017 10:27

Hi everyone,
Can I join in? I've been doing celebrity slim which is 2 shakes and a low carb meal, I can have 2 snacks a day fruit/veg/muller light. I'm 10lb down so far which I'm happy with. I struggle with meal planning & shopping (have been known to have panic attacks in Asda) so I've been sticking to an m&s balanced for you meal which aren't always great carb wise. I always struggle when I work a full day and have lunch at work. I work in a medical setting so really don't want people to know I'm doing a plan like this, I don't want the lectures. On those days I have a lunch then a shake for an evening meal. Anyway, I'm going on but I'm happy I'm heading in the right direction.
Will be great to talk to others who 'get it'.
Well done everyone, it's very motivating to read other people's victories and also how you cope with blips, I've had a couple, it took me 5 days to get passed it and not think well what's the point I've blown it now.
I'm the queen of self sabotage!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 13/08/2017 11:51

Week 1 weigh in and I've lost 2.1kg (4.5lbs) so that should mean my glycogen stores are empty now. I forgot that my scales measured body fat too so I did that and measured a whopping 45% (around double what it should be from memory).
Goal 1 - 2.1/4

Buxtonstill · 13/08/2017 12:57

Hi Ronny, welcome! I so know what you mean about not telling people at work! I don't work in a medical environment, but like many workplaces there will be people who feel they need to comment and judge on any diet you are doing. The minute you decide you will have a low fat pack of crisps or a sugar free, you get the diet police barging in 'oooh are you allowed that' thinking they are witty. Or they always know somebody who lost 10 stone on shakes and put it all back within 3 weeks...I fill up my shaker and make my shake in the bathroom at work.

That's brilliant Chaz. I love setting myself little goals. Short term it's 17 1/2, then 17 stone 2 as that is 240lbs and I like round numbers! med term it's 15 stone 10, as that is 100kg.

Buxtonstill · 14/08/2017 08:06

17 12 . Don't know why I'm up a pound, maybe it's just the volume of veg I ate yesterday - who knows?😎. Not disheartened though I have my lively new marks jeans to try and get into. I reckon hitting 17 dead on will do it!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 14/08/2017 12:18

It could well be the veg. I find that some things seem to act like a sponge and hold a lot more water so your weight goes up for a day or so then drops down again.

You'll be comfortably in those jeans before long.

Ronnyhotdog · 14/08/2017 17:39

Today was my weigh in and I was down 5lb, and into the next stone bracket. I haven't recorded it though, I think the scales are having a laugh. I'll weigh again in the morning and record that weight.
I think too much veg can bloat us. I had cauliflower soup at lunch today and I def have a bigger belly now than I did yesterday. I'm sure it'll be off for tomorrow!

Buxtonstill · 15/08/2017 08:01

17 11 1/2 so back on the move again! Had the hugest salad last night. Lettuce, cabbage, cucumber and toms, and some wafer thin ham. I'm sure there's a little bit more water retention goes on when the weather is warmer too as it has been for the last couple of days. When it gets a bit colder again I normally start peeing like a racehorse!

Buxtonstill · 16/08/2017 10:01

17 10 1/2 so edging lower and lower all the time. Even 2lb a week is over half a stone a month. Better off than on :-) hope everybody else is doing ok.

MummyofOscarandLola · 16/08/2017 10:53

Hi. I'm going to sound absolutely stupid but I've signed up to Juice Plus and I've no idea how it works or what to do. I didn't do any research before hand 🙈 Will someone please explain how it works xx

Ronnyhotdog · 16/08/2017 14:29

I've never heard of Juice Plus, do some googling. Good luck with it, I hope it works for you.
I weighed in this morning at 11st 13 which is what I was on Monday. I haven't logged it because I can't believe it. I've been losing 1-2lb a week, if that's right it means I lost 6lb last week which I can not believe. I'm not getting on the scales again until Monday and I'll record that weight.
I'm so hungry today!
Hope everyone is well
