Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

Nemo, you can use me for inspiration, if you want. I'd be willing to help. It's been hard, but so worth it. I will say that if I can do it, I'm sure know you can!

ledodgy · 17/05/2007 17:27

Sparkler go to the meeting and stay, buy the new mag , get some inspiration. Tell your consultant you've gone off the plan but are wanting to get back on she's there to support you. You can and will do this!

I missed my weigh in last night as morning sickness was too bad. Even though I've been good I don't think I lost any weight anyway am feeling really bloated again. I just want to lose 3 pounds to get my 4 stone award before I start putting on baby weight I hope I can do that this week!

Nemo2007 · 17/05/2007 18:05

le you have done excellently and oyu can really tell how much you have lost.

Sparkler I agree about speaking to consultant.

Sparkler1 · 17/05/2007 18:07

My consultant isn't the best. I've been to groups prior to this one and they were much more helpful. She tends to nod her head and run through the usual run of "slimming world" chat on every person that goes. Very little new advice from her. I can't make another group unfortunately or I would change.

oooops one and a half pounds on today! Had a bad week though so was expecting it.

Motivated to lose that now though!!!

Well done on all the losses

Nemo2007 · 17/05/2007 19:54

mmm this is when I struggle..kids are in bed and I am slightly bored so all can think about is everything I shouldnt have...anyone have any tips for snacky food?

Sparkler1 · 17/05/2007 22:17

Well I got weighed and I have no idea how but I've lost 2.5lb this week. Very happy about that but have no idea how - certainly haven't been good. So pleased about the weight loss but not pleased about how my motivation is right now.
I told consultant how I felt and how I very nearly didn't go tonight etc etc and she didn't give me any encouragement or advise at all. She just said she was glad to see me there and asked me for a mini target. She truely isn't that good.

rachfran · 17/05/2007 23:07

After having a very, very flexible week I have managed to loose 2 poond so very happy -only another 1.5lb for my stone.
Once again, I forgot o ask the password for syns online - can anybody help?
Thanks

sarahhal · 17/05/2007 23:12

Well done everyone. I had 2 off but didn't go last week so doesn't really count!!! Got my half stone today I just hope I can stick to this as really it is very easy isn't it if only you can avoid wine, chocolate etc

Have set a mini target of 2lb for next week - big weekend away with a friend from uni so god knows how many syns that will be

zippychick · 18/05/2007 02:09

Well ive been reading this thread for a week now and thought it was time i joined it!

i joined Sw one week ago and just had my first weigh in. I lost 6.5! Overall i would like to lose 3 stone so two and a half to go now

ive found it very easy, and have also startexd cycling - 4 miles a day (to from work) so i know that h as definitely helpd .Tonight i allowed myself a treat so ive had two bits of pizza (6 sins per bit, 2 packs of monster munch (10) and two vodks (7?)

back on track tomoro though! i just thought i deserved a mini party although i should have stopped at one pack of crisps!

its great to read other peoppls progress too

Sparkler1 · 18/05/2007 09:04

Welcome to the thread Zippychick. Congrats on your first week's weight loss. That's brilliant.
I'm starting back to basics today. Got my food diary and pen ready. I was fortunate to have got away with my weight loss this time don't want to mess it up now. I think if I'd have put on last night I would have given up.
Since September last year I've lost 1 stone in total. Did have a couple of months of not going to group between November and February. Since joining back in February I've lost 6.5lb - weight goes up and down like a yo-yo. I think it's about time I earnt my half a stone award isn't it so gonna work at it this week.

Oh dear. I've been eating Mullerlight Yogs ever since I started doing SW but last shop I bought some Asda low fat yogs for a change - and because they are much cheaper. Just checked in book out of interest and found that they are not free . Range from 0.5 for natural and 3.5 for a toffee one. Blimey! Ah well shall eat them up and not buy again - shame cos they were nice - typical!

BethAndHerBrood · 18/05/2007 11:13

What have I done??!! I've just spent the last hour or so BAKING!!!! WHY????

I did enjoy doing it though, cheered me up no end! Fortunately, my children eat like they are permanently starving, so the stuff shouldn't last long!!

I know what you mean about the yoghurts, sparkler. Why are mullerlights so expensive?! We stock up when they are 10 for £2. Good luck for this week, I think we all need it!!

sarahhal · 18/05/2007 12:59

I think I may turn into a muller yoghurt soon. Either that or a poached egg

Joby1970 · 18/05/2007 13:19

Sparkler: I am disgusted at your consultant's attitude. if she really is useless then you need to tell her area manager..maybe she needs retraining.

In the meantime ideas to help (I hope):

Make a list of pros & cons about your weight / weight loss
List your reasons for wanting to lose the weight.
Reward yourself (in a non food way ) for each weight loss.. a new hair cut eahc 1/2 stone or stone is a good one... but even reward yourself for each single pound .. a manicure for instance.
Put pics of yourself before & during/after in a place where you can see them regularly .. so you can see how far you've come.
Remember to measure yourself ..as you can lose inches & not lose pounds.

You are doing the right thing in going back to basics. Write everything down.

If I think of anything else I'll post it.

Nemo2007 · 18/05/2007 15:45

rachfran Mango till mon then Cereal..I think

Well am doing ok so far..although am finding today easier[red day] than yesterday as I can munch on the turkey in the fridge etc.Must admit I did struggle last night so had 5 choc fingers then went to bed..lol Evening is my usual time to pick at food so thats my hard time when I need motivation!!!

2mum · 18/05/2007 21:42

Are Muiller yogs a free food or are there any syns in them?

Nemo2007 · 18/05/2007 21:43

free free free..thank goodness. I just had banana and custard one with chopped up strawberries. As long as it is the smooth version I was told it is free.

2mum · 19/05/2007 09:48

Thanks for letting me know nemo . Would a rhubarb muiller lite be classed as free i wonder, as its got stringy rhubarby bits in it.

2mum · 19/05/2007 09:52

After stirring it i think i would class it as smooth!!

Sparkler1 · 19/05/2007 10:01

In my food directory it says:-

Yoghurt, Mullerlight, Virtually Fat Free, all varieties excluding those with cake pieces - FREE

SpiritualKnot · 19/05/2007 15:50
