Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

Hiya all

All this talk of wine!! I want to go out on the lash now!

I am really peed off this afternoon and here's why!!!

I bumped into an old work friend at lunch who commented that I look well and have lost weight (I never get bored of that one!) and when I told her that SW is the reason why, she stopped smiling and started speed talking about some woman she knows who followed SW and ate loads of carbs and she has now piled the weight back on plus more. She said it's not healthy to eat all those carbs as they turn to sugar which turns to body fat and it will catch up with me sooner or later (she tried to say that in a joking way but actually meaning it).

Now I feel really deflated and rubbish. I love SW because of all the potatoes and pasta I can have on a green day......is she right?????

Have been good all week again, have managed to resist the urge of chocolate completely.

God, some people just take pleasure in bringing other people down, don't they. Tell her to bog off and have a plate of chips!! (sw chips, of course!)

No she's not right but she is obviously jealous!

I've got my weigh in tonight and hoping I lose I put on half a pound last week even though i'd been good but think I was retaining alot of water due to pregnancy. I do feel a bit thinner this week though but we shall see....

I had o.5lb on this week & tbh I am gutted.

I have been good every day except one day & I counted the syns for the day I had been bad.

I allow myself 70 syns for the week & i had only eaten 52.5 syns

I feel so bad tonight, but will still be writing everything down & couting what syns I use. The consultant has kept my tracker to see what she thinks as I really was gutted!

Well done you two I lost 3 pounds this week I have 3 more pounds to lose until I get my 4 stone award and I really want to get that before I start putting pregnancy weight on.

FF exactly the same happened to me last week and I think that's why I had a good loss this week be good this week as well and I bet you have a good loss too. Yiou were probably water retaining or something.

Oh FFS!!!!!!!!!!

I put 1.5 lbs on. Bugger!

I am going for the burn this week!! I have just had a huge bowl of soupy/mush stuff, that was actually what I made to freeze for DS2, but I didn't have enough pots for it all! It was really nice though, and all free on a green. Just veggies and tinned toms, and I added a bit of soy to it in my dish. Mmmmmm......... what can I have now??

Hello,
sorry to crash your thread but Im a bit confused.On my red healthy extra list I cant find brown rice or cous cous. Surely youre allowed it if you can have brown pasta?
Ive made a chilli using mince and want some brown rice!
I usually make it with quorn so its free.

well this week i ate a bag of mini cream eggs, 4 apple turnovers, pinched loads of Dd's crisps, pinched Ds's chicken goujon, have a slilce of cheesecake ...oh and a couple of bits of free foods

but i still lost 1/2lb!!

i was shocked as i was sure i would put weight on.

in fact she told me that im not eating enough and that i should try and sin more normally....so i had an egg n bacon sarnie this morning and cos im hard I FRIED the bacon and eggs!

I have hit self destruct

I have exams next week & when this happens I panic eat.

Yesterday started off ok, but then in the evening dh wanted a fry for dinner. I didn't have to eat it though, but I had some bacon HS & some eggs [free]

then I had some fried soda bread & potato bread

Then 2 pkts of crisps & jelly babies.. why do I do it??

Woke up determined to be good today yet I have just toasted a bit of soda bread & buttered it

Help me...

Sparkler, shall you & I go sit in the naughty corner in our too tight clothes & baggy knickers?

Morning all!

FF2 - dont give up - you are such an inspiration to me on this thread and have given me lots of great advice - get yourself back on track and forget the past couple of days!

Having just said that - i cant help but feel a bit demotivated when i read about people basically eating what they want yet still losing weight and people who have followed the SW principles to a tee have put weight on. Dont get it!

FFF2, you poor thing, you sound really fed up. When I feel like that I just forget about the plan, eat what I like, when I like. Have a week or so to concentrate on other things, then get back to it when you feel more in control. I think that a week or two off now and again does you good. I think it kick starts your body again, and I find I have a good loss for a couple of weeks. So whatever I've put on comes off quite quickly.

Doing sw is supposed to make you feel better about yourself, so if it isn't, at the moment, and it's making you feel bad, guilty, naughty, whatever, try not to stress about it. Life is too short to always refuse an eclair!!!

I don't know whether that helps, but I can't give you a cuppa and pat your arm, so it's the best I can do for now!!

I guess it was that I had been so good last week, ate nothing wrong, didn't even use all my syns & still gained half a pound

Anyway, eating crap makes me feel crap so I am going to have a decent lunch, do some groceries as we have no fruit in the house.

I do need to catch a grip of myself as I have been doing so well, I don't want to ruin it.

I just feel really down today, a lot of my feelings have to do with my weight & then these exams. I can't even concentrate enough to revise

How dissapointing, no rice on a red day!
Congrats on losses and dont beat yourselves up for gaining.
My step dad was taken into intensive care a week ago and since then Ive lived on take outs and crisps.
Oh well.
