Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

Hello everyone. I didn't go for weigh in last night. I have had a very bad week. DH told me that I should still go but to be honest I think I would have got very disheartened seeing the weight going on when I was only 0.5 lb away last week from my half a stone award. I haven't given up though and will go next Thursday.
Had a good day today - went to do a big food shop this morning so have everything I need. Although I have just poured myself one to many glasses of wine - but it is Friday!

Hi Everyone

Please can I come join you - again!!

I stopped going to class a few weeks ago, due to illness. I thought I could get away with relaxing my eating habits a bit, Ha Bloody Ha!! Ive put half a stone back on!!

So here I am, warts, flab and all, ready to get it shifted! Plus a bit more besides.

Ive been really good today apart from the handful of jelly beans I just pinched from DD. Ive been gardening all afternoon too so i've had lots of exercise (big garden) so it seems like a good time to start!

I'm back! I posted to say I'd joined but disappeared again, but I need inspiration.

I in the mean time lost a stone, then got my 10%. I've just started taking the pill and I've put on half a stone in FOUR WEEKS. Argh. I do blame the pill though cos I just haven't been that naughty

I'm doing my online shop now, what can me and hubby eat with the kids, so not pot noodles lol, and what shall I get as snacks??? No fish (I hate) or quorn (dh allergic)

just had the chicken kiev and potatoe wedges from the magazine.

they were nice but i think i over did the garlic.

i hadn;'t had a sin all day until i went ot Asda and saw some apple turnovers reduced to 29p......now i can resist many things but a bargain? no way

I have had another good'ish week

I have been trying to work out the syns in some yoghurts I got from Lidl.

If I put the details here can someone help me see if I am right or wrong as I keep geting 7 syns in them, even though they say 0.1% fat.

Per 100 grams
Energy: 247kj/58Kcal
Protein: 4.9g
Carbo: 8.4g
Fat 0.3g

250g tub

***

Energy: 94kcal
Protein: 3.6g
Carbo: 18.8g
Fat 0.1g

150g tub.

I keep getting 7 syns each for them & don't want to risk eating them!

Good morning! Well after my fab 5 1/2 last week I have had an awful weekend! Thursday I decided would be my sod it night every week after being weighed so that was wine and pizza, Friday went to a friend's for dinner and had lots of chilli/wraps/more wine, then yesterday was DS1's 4th birthday party so picking all day!

So, four days this week to really go for it! Anyone had any luck with the Success Express plan? Am a little baffled by it to be honest, but think if I have original days this week I'll be inclined to eat more salad and veg than if I pig out on piles of pasta and potatoes!!

Right, off to the gym. Aiming to go all four days this week before weigh in - I will be mortified if I put on after my first week

FFF - not sure about the yoghurts - have never worked out the syn calculator myself! If they are so low fat and low cal then I don't think they can be so high in syns. I mean seven points that's a glass of wine ...or packet of french fries ..or nearly a bag of maltesers (see how my unhealthy mind works!)

fff2, I have the syns, you are right, I got 7.5 for the top one, 7 for the other. Would they be worth it?? I rather think not - have some chocolate or wine!! As you have probably guessed, I am not doing too well this weekend!! I have started on the wine again, after being pg, and b/f. I am only feeding morning and night now, so when DS2 had gone to bed last night I had a glass of wine. OMG!!!! Heaven!!

Hi girls

Need some help.....totally messed up today....! Don't know what's wrong with my brain but it went blank around about 12pm.

Anyway I had a green day breakfast (two slices nimble, small tin beans, scrambled egg and 3 mccain smiles at 1 syn each (as kids were having them you know how it is!).

So lunch time comes and I have a packet of tesco cheese curls (3.5 syns), 2 wholegrain ryvita with dairyea light on with loads of wafter thin ham.

For tea I've just had a 57g beef burger (at 5 syns on a red), two slices bacon, 198g new potatoes, mushies and onions and 28g cheddar on my burger.

So I started the day on a green and half way through changed to a red. I've only eaten fruit in between.

So my question is.....have I totally messed up or have I just had a mix2max day for the very first time without me even realising? See the syns situation confuses me with mix2max as things have different values for different days.

Sorry for going on, hope you can see what I mean...

rhysmiamum - LOL, yes, you have had a mix2max day!! And made a very good job of it by the sounds of it!! If things have different syn values on different days, just take the highest value and use that. Unfair, but the way it is!! Although most of the things you will use will be the same, because if syns are too high for meat or carbs, you can just change the colour of your meal, IYSWIM?

Well done, I'm having a glass of wine now, (baby in bed!)

No, I agree! The 7 syns are so not worth it

Well I had a nice fruit salad for brekkie today & we went out for lunch.

I had creamy chilli chicken pasta

Well, the pasta was a HE & the pasta was free. I didn't eat much of the sauce, but am now left bewildered as how to count the syns for it? I do have the syns for it as I count 70 a weel k [best bit of advice I have ever heard!] (from ledodgy I think!!!)

& I have about 40/45 left so am good. Fancy a pkt of crisps now though

I think it would be a good idea to have dinner soon though

I re-joined last Thursday and have already written this week off! Bad timing as it was ds first birthday on Sat then had BBQ in evening and had friends over on bank hol for takeaway and wine! Will start afresh on Thursday!!

Anyone know how many syns in a glass of white wine?!

fff I'm finding it hard today - just completely lost the plot over the weekend - endless glasses of wine, choc gateau, icecream, crisps etc etc etc - and am trying really hard to be good today and tomorrow before weigh in to try and minimise damage!! But i'm blimmin' starving! Am trying to work out what to have to eat today and just got no inspiration - had fruit salad and 2 ryvita with marmite for breakfast but don't know whether to have red or green for lunch and tea......

Dry white wine:
125ml....4syns
142ml....4.5syns
175ml....6syns

Medium white:

4.5
5.5
6.5
[for same amount of mls per glass as above]

sparkling white: All the same syns per amount as medium white.

Sweet white wine:

6
6.5
8
[for same amount of mls per glass as above]

Katylou, I know what you mean, I really struggle when I am revising for exams [as I am supposed to be doing now] I am resisting the urge of opening the cupboard & eating all the gingernuts!!

As far as wine is concerned, I always used to just go by the bottle , which tells you how much I can drink!! 30 syns a bottle. I don't do measuring!!

Bethandherbrood - do you count your syns on a weekly basis then?! Is that the general consensus?

Yes, huffpuff, I find it easier to keep track by counting down. I start the week with 105 syns, and if I know that I'm definately having something - like a bottle, or two, of wine - then I subtract that straight away. Just have to make sure I drink it all!!

I have lost 3 stone,9 pounds. It has taken me over 2 years, but I have had a baby during that, and been b/f. I still am feeding but only 2 or 3 times a day. I have just dropped another dress size, and it feels fantastic! Still a way to go though!!

I always count 70 syns per week, as our concultant advised us to leave 5 per day incase of hidden syns But when I am desperate I add them on

I have my weigh in tonight, now I know I shouldn't have weighed myself on my own scales this morning, but I did & I don't think I have lost any weight. Despite my angelic ways after 1 bad day
