Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

ledodgy, Congrats, and you can do sw while pg, I did last year, and also while b/f. You will still have to pay though, you can't go to target because your weight will go up, even if not very much! I put 1 stone 6 pounds while I was pg, and went back to class 2 weeks after I'd had baby. I'd lost 2 stone 4.5 pounds!! While you are pg you just follow the plan as normal. After the birth, if you are b/f you can increase your HE's. The amount you can have differs depending on age of baby, you will get a little booklet off your consultant which will tell you. She will also give you a form for your mw to sign, to say they have no objection to you following the plan, but my mw wasn't the slightest bit interested, and my consultant never asked for it back, so it can't be that important!!! If you have any specific questions ask away, I'll try to answer them. Hope that helps a bit.

Sorry everyone else, a bit long!!!

ledodgy · 30/04/2007 08:02

Beth 2 stone 4.5 after the baby was born That's brill and has motivated meno end!

BethAndHerBrood · 30/04/2007 19:42

Where is everyone?? Not at the pie shop I hope!!

I was doing really well today, untill DC's teatime. Half a finger roll going spare, just begging to be smothered with peanut butter. Well, it would have been cruel not to.........

huffpuff · 30/04/2007 20:11

Hi ladies!

Right, starting SW again on Thurs night. I have a stone to lose. Is this achievable by, say, August?

Also, i am at a loss as to evening meals! What did you gals have tonight?!

TIA X

fireflyfairy2 · 30/04/2007 22:10

Tonight I had a BBQ so I had a red day

In fact today I ate:

Breakfast: Pineapple

Snack/lunch: fruit salad. Cornetto 8.5syns (It's too warm to eat!!)

Dinner: 1 chicken kebab. 1 pure beef burger with a cheese slice. 1 pure beef sausage from my local butcher who makes them..

Do I have to count syns for the sausage as it was 100% beef? I probably do don't I?

Now I'm having more pineapple & a pint of diluted orange juice.

fireflyfairy2 · 30/04/2007 22:11

Huffpuff if you lose about 1lb/2lb a week from now til August you could definitely have a stone off

Sparkler1 · 30/04/2007 22:59

oh guys it's all going wrong here. No willpower. Too embarassed to even say what I've eaten today.
How can I be so strong one week and not the next?

OP posts:
rachfran · 30/04/2007 23:02

Sparkler1 me too. I have had burger in a white bun, half a large portion of fish and chips and a kit kat. I feel sick and really disgusted with myself.

mamazon · 30/04/2007 23:07

ok, i am confused.

i know, it doesn't take much.

basicly wheni read my book it says that CHEESE is free on both days. yet you can only have 28g and class it as a healthy extra....i don't get it.

if its free then why is it a healthy extra that needs weighing?

help. i love cheese and if its free then fab! but obviously i darent eat any until i am sure.

Sparkler1 · 30/04/2007 23:08

mamazon - cheese is not free on either day - it has to be counted as a healthy A choice on both days.

OP posts:
Sparkler1 · 30/04/2007 23:08

where did you read it was free?

OP posts:
mamazon · 30/04/2007 23:09

well that was what i thought. but in the book it lists CHEESE in capital letters at the top of the dairy list in the free section.

quick go check in your book....see, see, told you. its confusing aint it

fireflyfairy2 · 30/04/2007 23:13

Yes it says CHEESE, as a title... then lists the typs of cheese that is free

Quark
VLF dottage cheese
VLF fromage frais

mamazon · 30/04/2007 23:14

AHHHHHh.

see now you have saved me from looking a total pratt tomorrow night when i asked the group leader woman.

damit though, was getting rather excited. whats Quark like? is it as vile as it sounds?

Sparkler1 · 30/04/2007 23:15

Are you looking at page 31 for green and page 54 for red?
It lists the types of cheese that are free. These are Quark, very low fat natural cottage cheese and very low fat natural fromage frais.
All the other cheeses you can have are listed on page 39 for green and page 63 for red and they must come under healthy choice A

OP posts:
fireflyfairy2 · 30/04/2007 23:18

Obv meant cottage cheese & not dottage

Sparkler, it's very easy to have a bad day.. far harder to have a good day!

And whoever said they had a burger in a bun, well so did I!! And I had a flippin strawberry cornetto for lunch.. what a noodle!

Sparkler1 · 01/05/2007 07:43

Ok - who's with me today? I have three days til weigh in. Need to work hard because I know the pounds have gone on.
Taking a huge pile of fruit to work with me today.

BethAndHerBrood · 01/05/2007 09:24

I'm with you, sparkler. I had a reasonably good day yesterday, untill the peanut butter episode But, like many of us it seems, I totally went to pieces at the weekend and had burgers and sausages and white bread and creamy coleslaw and ice cream.........I'll stop now. I'm just boring myself!!

Haven't had any breakfast yet. Not really a breakfast person. Might just have a banana later. Salad for lunch, with hard boiled egg and beetroot. For tea I am thinking of doing aubergine stuffed with couscous, or just roasting it if I can't be arsed!

And this week I shall be getting lots of body magic. Blooming roadworks near me, so far less stressful to walk to school than take the car. So that's a 2 mile round trip twice a day, as well as anything extra like going to town or the park.

fireflyfairy2 · 01/05/2007 10:42

I have an essay to write for Friday ~ And I have no idea of where to start

Anwyay, have just been for my 3 mile walk, have it down to 40 minutes now! Not sure if that's good or not, but it's a personal best

I just stick on my ear phones & Garth Brookes or The Dixie Chicks or Smokie keep me company on the way round the road I know, not everyone's ideal music, especially not Dh's which is why it's on my earphones and not the stereo

Had pineapple & muller light for breakfast. Not sure about lunch, maybe some pasta or ravioli then something veggie for dinner as I have a spin class at 7.30.

Guess who's going to have sore legs tomorrow

BethAndHerBrood · 01/05/2007 18:34

Well, there is good news and bad news.

Good - Went to the ice cream parlour and didn't have an ice cream

Bad - had a latte and a croissant with butter and jam.

But it was really, really lovely!!

Christie, how much do you still want to lose?

Bear in mind that if it is under a stone then it will be harder to shift without upping the exercise.

Don't get downhearted. My sister has just left WW as the plan had stopped working for her & she is following a gruelling eating plan that consists of mince beef & watermelon for breakfast

Anyway best be off to class, will check back later xx

sarahhal · 01/05/2007 22:44

Hello all, hope everyone doing well today!

Well five days down and so far so good. Well, apart from the six hours between 6pm and midnight on Saturday when I managed to drink and eat a week's worth of sins! I knew I'd do it - we went to Manchester to see a band and to be honest I had no intentions of being good!!

Am actually enjoying the challenge of eating healthily this week, but if I've not lost anything on Thursday I will be very

Christie - I hear from a lot of people that they are just too hungry on the WW points system. I joined for three months online and had little interest in it for some reason. Hope you find what's best for you.

mamazon · 02/05/2007 08:47

GRR only lost 1lb last night. it meant i got my half stone award which is great for my second week but still....would have liked to have lost some more given i have been so good.

BethAndHerBrood · 02/05/2007 10:06

I think I shall win the award for "Most Bizarre Breakfast Of The Day"

I had a banana, a hard boiled egg and some couscous. Surprisingly tasty, actually!!

mamazon, don't be too fed up, half a stone in 2 weeks is brill! I always find it helps to look at the overall loss, rather than one weeks (especially if it's not been good!), just think, in 2 or 3 weeks you could be a stone lighter than you were!! That's fab!!
