Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

Excellent well done FF!!!

Weigh in for me tomorrow night. Just had a massive tea - 3 quorn sausages, a huge jacket potato and half a tin of baked beans with a huge dollop of light salad cream washed down with a diet coke. Still have a few syns left so don't know whether or not to relax with a glass of wine or not at the moment.
Thought about making the smash pizza tomorrow night and taking it group for all to try.

Oh Christie you are not having a good time of it at the moment are you?
I don't know how much you have or want to lose. If you are smaller sometimes the weight will come off slower than someone, like me, who is big and has more to lose.
1lb is still a very good weight loss and better than a 1lb gain. Have you seen those big rubber things that the consultants have to show how much a pound or two of fat looks? It's huge amount.

REMEMBER!! - 1LB A WEEK FOR A YEAR IS 3 STONE AND 10LB OF WEIGHT LOSS

We can do it!!!!

Ta Sparkler!

Oh Christie, you remind me so much of my older sister... she is a ww member & is following their core plan at the minute, which [afaik] is eating 3 meals a day & snacking on fruit.
She has been to the gym twice a week & a spin cycle class with me that our other sister runs, & she text me tonight after her weigh in..

this is her text : Im gutted. Lost zilch! Big fat zero! Stayed the same again! fukn fed up! Leader says stick at it, but thats 2 weeks now!!

Poor pet.

All you can do is stick at it & hopefully there will be a big weight loss next week. I echo Sparkler that if you only have a little weight to lose it becomes harder nearer the end to shift!

A girl at our club tonight hit her target..and decided that she wants to go lower

nikki81 · 25/04/2007 21:04

Hi girls. Well I have been really good again today. Breakfast was weetabix +skimmed milk, banana and peach for snack, lunch was a pitta with pate, hummous and salad, 1 orange and raisin go ahead thing +3 smarties! and dinner was spag bol. 1 glass of wine tonight.

Can anyone tell me the syn value of those Go ahead orange and raisin things, not sure the name but they come in packs of 3, I only had 1. Also how many syns for 3 smarties!

Also had a spray of that fry light oil and about 1 and half teaspoons of sugar all in all.

Is this good?

tiredemma · 25/04/2007 21:10

Hi,

Mind if I join?

Just started SW tonight.

only just got back- what do you reckon is best to start off with tomorrow? Im at uni all day so will ideally need to take in a pack lunch, I have some wholemeal bread, and lots of salad in the fridge.

any help would be greatfully appreciated for my first week!!!

nice to join you all!

Sparkler1 · 25/04/2007 21:25

Welcome Tiredemma! You've chosen a good weight loss plan.
Do you think you have enough stuff in already that you can use before you get a proper shop?
My usual SW day consists of measuring out my milk allowance into my own little jug which I keep purely for myself.
Breakfast is either a piece of fruit and a mullerlight yoghurt during the week or measured amount of cereal with milk from allowance - weekends I might cook eggs/bacon (free on a red day when cooked with fry light).
On green days - you could make up batchelors savoury rice and eat it cold or some coucous? I usually take lots of fruit with me to work - huge tub of strawberries and grapes already washed and ready to eat.
I find if I can eat as much free food all through the day then I can save my syns for the evening when the temptations are there.

Hi sparkler-

Because im at uni all day tomorrow im trying to plan something that wont make me 'pick' in the day.

for brekkie, i was planning on special K with skimmed milk ( will i have to measure my milk???)
its lunch im thinking about, I have some chicken slices and wholemeal bread, and TONS of salad. would this be ok to kick start me, I can plan tonight for friday, but I want to start off on the right foot tomorrow.

Sparkler1 · 25/04/2007 21:31

Your milk does have to be measured as it comes under your Healthy A option.

tiredemma · 25/04/2007 21:35

just ploughing through the book now......

Sparkler1 · 25/04/2007 21:48

In answer to your food for tomorrow question. As far as I can see Special K isn't in the list of Healthy B options (where cereal normally comes under) if you had it it would have to be 28g worth and it would be 5 syns. Your milk would be measured 350ml skimmed milk as a healthy A option. The chicken slices are fine but you need to decide beforehand if you are having a green day or an original. On original they should be free but on green you will need to measure them and use them as a healthy B option. Be careful not to go over your healthy options - you can have one or two A choices every day and two choices from the B section. Be careful which bread you are using too - the bread you can have for a B choice is listed in your book - if it's not listed it will have to be counted as syns. Salad totally free on both green and original.

That's enough for now don't want to confuse you too much

There's a lot to take in but don't get disheartened. It will take a good two or three weeks before it clicks into place. Must head for bed now I'm shattered and up early for work tomorrow.
Feel free to shout if you get stuck anytime. There are plenty of us to help on here!

Are weetabix counted as a healthy extra?

Sparkler1 · 25/04/2007 21:50

yes you can have two weetabix as a healthy B

OP posts:
Sparkler1 · 25/04/2007 21:51

........they are listed in the healthy b grab and go section of the book
....now I really am going to bed!

Hi Emma

If you like pasta you could make some up tonight, throw some fat free salad dressing on it it'll be gorg with cherry toms, cucumber & apple through it!! YUM

Actually I'll come back in a minute with a few ideas.

nikki81 · 25/04/2007 21:55

could only find one weetabix and an oatcake or something in the book as a healthy extra but I have been having 2 weetabix for breakfast!

nikki81 · 25/04/2007 21:56

tiredemma · 25/04/2007 22:28

slowly getting used to the book, i cant believe how much food you can have!

tiredemma · 25/04/2007 22:38

what do i value a small, round wholemeal bap at????

fireflyfairy2 · 25/04/2007 22:42

If you have scales Emma then pop it on & weigh it. The book will give you syns per 28g I think.
