Can I start a new thread? Hope you don't mind.
Just had a really bad weight gain at group tonight and need a fresh start. Thought a fresh new thread would help.
After a 6lb weight loss last weeek have just had a bad weigh in with a gain of 3 1/2lb. .
So tomorrow is a new day, start of a new week and I am going to work hard at it!!!
Who wants to join me for a good week ahead?

Summer is on it's way and we are all going to look good!

LOL!! I've just read your post again and you aren't putting the pom on the pud, are you? But you could. It's a good idea, IMHO!!!

Or put it in a salad with parma ham - delish

Or scoop the bits out, reeze them for a tiny bit and have them in yoghurt or over ice cream. They go a bit crunchy. Lovely!!

BethAndHerBrood · 23/04/2007 17:55

That's freeze, obviously

fireflyfairy2 · 23/04/2007 17:59

Beth that sounds lovely!!!

I must stick some in the freezer later!

What would passionfruit be like if froze or added to rice pud?

assumpta · 23/04/2007 18:04

Can you have rice pudding on a green day, if so can I please have a recipe for it. Thanks

BethAndHerBrood · 23/04/2007 18:17

You could use passionfruit the same way, I imagine.

You just make rice pud the normal way, pudding rice is free on green, use sweetener instead of sugar and milk from your HEA's.

Thhen a big dollop of jam on the top!!

fireflyfairy2 · 23/04/2007 18:50

My rice pudding is tesco!!

Pudding rice, boiled with your HEa milk & sweetner

Topped with fruit

Or a splash of ice-cold milk & cinamonn.

ANyone here been on the cambridge diet? I have lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks on it but by god I am bored and want to eat, eat and eat. I also am concerned that I still wont know how to eat long term to keep the weight off once it's gone so am considering slimming world. I wouldnt be able to get to meetings so ould need to do it online.

My fear is if I switch will I put on to begin with whilst my body adjusts.

fireflyfairy2 · 23/04/2007 20:08

Well, you might gain a little whilst your body adjusts to eating normal food, but that can only be a good thing. I can't understand how you are supposed to maintain a weightloss after eating nothing but shakes & health bars

Have you any books related to SW? If you want some the best one to have would be the food dirtctory, I am unsure if you can order them online or not.

If you go on the sw website you can get more info, although to access the directory online you will need a password. It is SKIPPING this week [small letters though]

nikki81 · 23/04/2007 20:54

Hi everyone. Can I join in please? I had a baby 7 months ago and although I only need to loose a few pounds Im finding it really hard! I have the slimming world books and want to do it at home without going to the classes. Tries really hard last week and had salads for dinner but still had choc! I went running 3 times last week and once to the gym and I haven't lost any weight today! I have been really good today and my choc intake was 3 choc buttons.

fireflyfairy2 · 23/04/2007 20:59

Welcome Nikki

Tomorrow is a new day

3 chocolate buttons doesn't seem that bad to me

nikki81 · 23/04/2007 21:23

I thought I did well today, just need to keep it up! I just logged onto slimming world and put in the password and have logged all my details and created a food diary, didn't know I could do this?? I don't even go to the classes!

Glad you have registered Nikki. We always post the password every week so you may as well come on & get it

Christie, I was wondering how you were getting on today!! What have you eaten today, I think I would get easily confused with the express one

katylou25 · 24/04/2007 10:35

Rioght Have got to get back into this today - was naughty AGAIN yesterday so todays plan is:

GREEN

breakfast - fruit salad
lunch - h/m potato wedges, beans and scrambled eggs
tea - mushroom tagliatelle with griddled chicken (HB) and parmesan (HA) and salad.

Leaving me 1 HB and 1 HA for snacks
ands sins to be used in the evening!!

But I also have a "a tiny bit of easter egg won't hurt" habit! so must try try try to stop it because have prob eaten a whole egg a week in that way!

assumpta · 24/04/2007 10:40

What is this weeks password?

assumpta · 24/04/2007 10:47

Just found it, thanks.

nikki81 · 24/04/2007 13:11

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is being good today! I am just wondering, as im trying to do this at home without going to classes would anyone help me with a couple of foods that I need to know if they are syns or counted as what??
The good carb food company original granola? Brought this from tesco and have it for my breakfast.
Seeds of change chocolate and raisin cereal bars?
Thanks, im doing green days mainly.

fireflyfairy2 · 24/04/2007 15:04

28g of good carb food company Granola is 7syns on both green & original.

The seeds of change chocolate & raisin 29g cereal bar is 5.5 syns on both.

Sparkler1 · 24/04/2007 16:16

Welcoome Nikki.
After a disastrous Thursday night, Friday, Saturday and Sunday I have finally got the willpower back and have been good all day yesterday and today.
Two more days until weigh in. A maintain for me would be good although I set a mini target of 2.5lb. Was being a bit adventurous this week.

nikki81 · 24/04/2007 19:47

Hi. Thanks for that. Today is my second day of being good! today consisted of, breakfast granola cereal + skimmed milk and cup of tea. Snack, coffee and seeds of change bar, lunch baked sweet potato with tuna mayo and 28g cheese. snack, fruit bar and porridge oats made with skimmed milk and dinner, mackeral with salad and new pots. Doesn't sound bad does it? Feel like I have done well!

nikki81 · 24/04/2007 20:02

ok, just typed it online in slimming world and reaslised had 2 too many healthy extra b's! guess i could count them as syns
?

fireflyfairy2 · 24/04/2007 21:38

What were you counting as HEb's?

I am not sure what you have chosen, but if you have to syn something chose the one with the lowest syns & put the rest as a HEb.

I have just had a 45 minute spin cycle class taught by my big sister... think my arms are going to fall off!

fireflyfairy2 · 25/04/2007 14:19

How's it going today everyone??

I have weigh-in tonight.. starting to panic a bit now even though I know I have counted all my syns & have ate nothing but good nutritional food all week!

Beadmum · 25/04/2007 15:05

good luck with weigh in ff

ive been good since yesterday, just felt like eating rubbish lately so hopefully im over that for a while now
did have a little ice cream with strawberries after tea last night though

fireflyfairy2 · 25/04/2007 20:11

I lost 1.5lb!

Happy enough, though I'd have liked to have had the 2lb off that I gained last week!!

Has anyone else has weigh-ins tonight?

Wasn't Ledodgy's slim class on a Wed night?

And Sally, her's was on a Wed too wasn't it?
