Hi everyone. I have had a busy weekend, my DH is away but had arranged for flowers and a hamper to be delivered for mothers day, bless him, and sorted out cards for the boys to give me. The hamper contained some chocolates and biscuits, as well as jams and tea bags, so most of that will be rationed to the weekends! The flowers are beautiful and much appreciated.
I cooked for 9 last night, a family celebration, my eating hasn't been too out of controlled though, I have mostly stuck to no snacks apart from the odd nibble of crisps here and there! Somewhat knackered running around cooking, cleaning etc but had a nice time.
Back to normal tomorrow.
Hope you've all had a lovely day.
Ariston good luck tomorrowFlowers

Hi beela, I've just done my finishing touches to my online shop and meal planned too. 😇 Much less stressful since starting the plan.
Thanks Posie, sounds like you had a lovely day and nice gifts. My dh sadly said oh, sorry I didnt do anything 😣
Have a good week everyone!

PosiePootlePerkins · 26/03/2017 22:41

Thank you for the 💐. My friend was the first to text me happy Mothers days to an ace Mum. It actually meant a lot. 👍🏼

Pleasedontbelikeme · 27/03/2017 08:06

Hello all, I lost 2.5 lbs this week Grin Mother's day was lovely. DS1 came round Saturday night with a lovely pot of plants to go by the front door, cos he was leaving for his (belated) honeymoon yesterday morning. DS3 gave me a card he made me at school which is very sweet and a dangle flower decoration thingy he made at cubs and my parents came round for lunch. Then DS2 came over with a bottle of wine Smile.

FlowersCakeWine beela. My DH is rubbish at stuff like that too! Nothing would have happened if it had been down to him (10th anniversary last week was a bit disappointing tbh...Sad...but he does have good points. ..)

Pleasedontbelikeme · 27/03/2017 08:16

Oops! TheCakeFlowersWine were for ariston! (But you can have some too beela...) Blush

Rockaby · 27/03/2017 08:47

FlowersCakeBrew ariston. A giant birthday gift for you this year to make up for it I think Wink.

Hope everyone is having a good morning. I have post-holiday blues, but looking forward to / hoping for a good No S week. "Must not snack" is my mantra!

beela · 27/03/2017 10:02

Wow please, well done on your weight loss Smile

WineFlowers for ariston. Your dc are a similar age to mine iirc. Hope they had chance to at least make you a card at school/nursery? Good luck with your medical stuff this week as well.

rockaby how did you find it on holiday? No-S i mean, not being on holiday in general Grin We are going away in a couple of weeks, I'm hoping it will be easy enough to stick to plan.

Rockaby · 27/03/2017 10:29

beela it was ok, but it was also my first week. I ended up having a couple of snacks on days which should have been No S. That was because there were a couple of days when we didn't have proper meals during the day as we were out and about. I think someone with more discipline / better organised / used to the plan would cope fine. Most days I was fine and even the days I did slip and have a snack weren't terrible binges or anything, just two meals plus two snacks.

AristonAndOn · 27/03/2017 16:27

In waiting room now. 😐
Sadly I've just had a birthday and dh announced the day before that he hadn't got me anything Confused However he then took me shopping to pick something. Had a nice meal too.
My Mil found out my dh had done nothing and did a card with my dds which was lovely of her.
I'm rubbish at remembering what people have said and who said it so I think I'm going to need to write down what people have said so I can respond better. I'm not ignoring anyone promise!

AristonAndOn · 27/03/2017 16:29

At my last medical appt the consultant said I should give up drinking. I know it's silly to think like this, but I'm working so hard at normalising my eating, I'm going to find the no drinking ever a difficult concept.

beela · 27/03/2017 16:48

Oh ariston Sad would it help you to put alcohol in to the 'S' category? Then at least you are dealing with things on a consistent basis. Or did he mean no more ever ever?

Good luck with the appt. Flowers

AristonAndOn · 27/03/2017 18:31

He did mean ever Beela, but I've just seen a different one that said just in moderation! Which is abut of a relief. Saying never ever was making me want it more! Same psychology as dieting I suppose, however I know you can live without drink. I do enjoy a nice Wine

beela · 27/03/2017 19:16

Phew, that sounds a bit better.

Me too. Wine

twofloorsup · 27/03/2017 20:14

Ariston I forget who says what as well so I end up talking dribble that makes no sense Grin
I still like to check in though.

All pretty much back to normal here now but I am again wondering what to have for dinner as I've sorted the kids but not myself !

AristonAndOn · 27/03/2017 20:31

Ha ha Two, it's not just me then!
I normally end up with something on toast if I'm hungry with no time.

twofloorsup · 27/03/2017 22:04

No definitely not just you Smile
I had scrambled eggs in flatbreads in the end.
Note to self : start dinner earlier !!

Rockaby · 28/03/2017 15:27

Ariston That's good news you can have the odd Wine. Hope your medical appointment was ok.

Hope everyone is having a good day today. Yesterday went great for me, but today I am struggling a little. DD and I had a lovely, but ill-advised, impromptu picnic in the park at lunchtime, so just shared a sandwich and some fruit salad from boots. It was probably a bit of an error as it was before 12, so I'm sort of counting down till dinner time now. Think I'll eat at 5 with DD.

beela · 28/03/2017 16:33

Afternoon all.

I made a cake with dd earlier with all good intentions of just feeding it to other people.... Then a friend popped round after school so I offered her a bit but felt like it would be weird if I didn't have any so I ate a small bit too. I didn't even want cake!!!!

But I did have super healthy homemade soup for lunch so it's not all bad.

Marking and moving on....

Rockaby · 28/03/2017 18:17

Oh I can definitely relate to that beela! I imagine I'll find that sort of situation really difficult, if I actually stick with this for long enough to actually encounter that sort of situation that is Wink.

It's so annoying when you don't even want it, but feel obliged.

beela · 29/03/2017 07:16

Haha, glad it's not just me Wink

AristonAndOn · 29/03/2017 12:44

My dd5 yesterday wanted to try a plum for the first time and wouldn't unless I did! So I did. It's against the rules 😵 but I'm not going to lose sleep over a plum ha ha.

Rockaby · 29/03/2017 12:54

ariston my 2yo DD just shoved the teeniest bit of bread in my mouth. I'm not going to lose sleep over that either!

I think today will be one of those days where I will stick to the rules but still manage to eat a lot of calories... I have a visitor here so making a nice lunch now and we're going out for dinner later. I'm sticking to three plates but I'm sure it will be heavy on the calories.

rivierliedje · 29/03/2017 14:33

I want to join in again, but I'm not doing a very good job so far this week. I completely forgot on monday and was snacking away and I had chocolate yesterday. HOpefully the rest of the week will be better.

PosiePootlePerkins · 29/03/2017 15:53

Hi everyone sorry I've been quiet for a couple of days, for some reason I was really struggling at the beginning of the week with wanting to rebel and stuff food in my face! Had some good advice on the NoS forum and have managed to stay strong, I really need to remind myself of all the benefits NoS brings to my life. I am hoping that each time I resist I will become stronger. I can't let this be yet another diet that fails, not when its working so well.
DH is away for a while now and that's always hard, but I can't make excuses and anyway food won't solve anything!
Hope everyone is having a good week.
