The last thread inspired us to shift the pounds so let's kick October's butt too!

The moon is looking lovely tonight to be fair Wink

I am in awe of the mile-swimming!

Christmas shouldn't be too bad here. Dunno where we'll be yet but we won't be hosting at home. DH generally remembers to get me a box of chocolates (amongst other things), but otherwise the kitchen will have no more, and no more exciting, food in it than usual. Although if we end up at his mother's I will have some tactful navigating through calorie-laden waters to do. She's ever so nice, she remembers what I like and buys it in especially and then I feel I can't really refuse.

May have accidentally sort of eaten two packets of biscuits yesterday. Blaming period. But it hasn't turned into a two-week binge yet so that's progress!

Howlongtillbedtime · 19/10/2016 06:20

Morning all , weigh in day and i have lost 3 pounds this week so that is 5 pounds so far this month .

Fingers crossed I can keep it up for next week . Good luck to everyone else .

BitOutOfPractice · 19/10/2016 07:31

Morning all - think the fast day yesterday has helped - down to 10'9 this morning which is 4 off since Sunday and 5 for the month!!!!

Think its the weekends which are the downfall I don't do nearly enough walking and tend to test the food I make for my weeks lunches - hey ho!!

Well done How - its such a great feeling!!!

QuimReaper · 19/10/2016 18:23

Wowzer how that is amazing - what a week! You're on fire!

I've just bashed out another mile and went for a long stomp racking up almost 10K, and am nailing another fast day.

First really "good" week I've had in ages (although admittedly yesterday wasn't great), hoping to see it on the scales on Friday...!

QuimReaper · 19/10/2016 18:23

Sorry - that's bashed out another mile at the swimming pool...

chrispenrallt1 · 20/10/2016 07:27

Bum bum bum made those mums net rock cakes yesterday and succumbed to their siren call . To make up for it I did extra walk with darling doggie and am just back from running. Moon lighting the way and the stars and planets so beautiful to see.
Going away this weekend so will be trying to restrain myself at hotel breakfast table and dinner too.
Good losses to us all
PS those rock cakes are divine do not make them !!

DoinItFine · 20/10/2016 08:31

Slightly up today but have period so meh.

I also had a pretty bad weekend, although have been good all week.

Amazing losses, How and plum.

Wonderful swimming, Quim.

Frazzled is a way of life that seems to be getting more intense as my kids get older.

😲😤😫

TheresAlwaysTimeForTea · 20/10/2016 08:32

Super jealous of all these losses - I have put a bloody pound on this week! And I have been so good - eating really healthily, not snacking, not drinking. It must've been the afternoon tea at weekend. I'm making a mental note to drink more water and hope for the best. So frustrating!

Cheesetoastieyum · 20/10/2016 14:04

Sorry for lack of comments after joining the thread - have really struggled this month - 3lb down in total so only 1lb per week. Bit fed up but things have been slowing down as I reach my goal - possibly need to eat fewer biscuits!! Love reading your stories keep going guys!

QuimReaper · 20/10/2016 14:18

I am knackered today, really headachey and dopey, but clinging to the thought of the scales tomorrow to keep me on the straight and narrow - was tempted to weigh in today but if it's not a good result I'm afraid I'll have another tantrum and eat a pile of carbs, so holding off! There is no chance of another swim today, I'd probably just do one length and then cling to the edge of the deep end sobbing and have to be rescued Blush Grin

KikisDeliveryService · 20/10/2016 18:56

My amazing refined carbs-ban plan has not led to any weightloss yet but my addiction to sugar is waning by the day so that side of things is going well. The reality is my fricking TDEE is so low that if I'm not exercising then it doesn't take much to eat all my allowed calories and is extremely easy to go over. A lot less easy when I'm eating mostly plants and protein though.

Not exercising because I feel bleh - been envious of the long swims and early morning runs - that used to be me! Can't wait to have the energy to get back to it.

Well done to all those who have had amazing losses. Keep persevering those of us who haven't!

DoinItFine · 20/10/2016 19:58

Why so tired, Kiki?

Why is your TDEE (that is you calories to stay the same, right?) so low?

Are you unwell?

I always worry about people low on energy. Sorry if I'm being roo nosy.

TrishanFlips · 20/10/2016 20:10

I'd like to join. I'm 13st 4lbs and 5'5". Can't seem to lose weight. I don't think I eat much but I don't exercise and I like my Bacardi and Coke - diet coke though.

DoinItFine · 20/10/2016 20:15

Hi Trishan

Welcome :)

TrishanFlips · 20/10/2016 20:20

Thanks. I hope the thread will give me inspiration. Just cooked a big bowl of chilli con carnelian for my son. My teenage boys can eat so much without putting on weight.

KikisDeliveryService · 21/10/2016 08:11

Doin I just have a cold that refuses to lift, so well enough to do all the crap that needs to be done but nothing extra to get myself motivated, and a run or whatever would start me off on a coughing fit anyway. Keep waiting for that magical morning where I wake up and it's all cleared!

TDEE is 1500-1600 while I'm sedentary, so not that low I suppose but racks up quickly and I put on weight very easily. I usually like to chuck in fast days here and there to compensate but not doing that at the moment either.

trish I (sadly) accepted long ago that I should not try and match the amount my growing near teen children eat or my 6' DH!

But the no refined carbs thing is working ok as I'm not craving junk and eating healthily. I'm definitely less jiggly on the belly and scales finally show a small loss this morning. I miss wanting to exercise.

plumstone · 21/10/2016 08:54

Morning All, official weigh in this morning and bang on 10"9 which I am delighted about.

Goal for this weekend is to really amp up the walking and carb free, as I think that made a massive difference this week. Now if I can loose a cheeky 2lbs before Monday I will be delighted and head off on holiday at 10.7 - maintaining it for the week may be a whole different ball game!!!

Welcome Trishan, I was 5'6" and 12.7 stone at the start of this year and like you hated exercise - not sure if it would be feasible for you but I started walking as that is something that can be built into my current life style and is free which I like!!! Also I have limited booze when out with friends but at the start I cut it out for 2 months - big help - and now don't miss it when at home, but really look forward to it when out with friends or on holiday!!!! - Also portion size - its amazing how I learned that what I thought I wanted to eat was not actually what I needed to eat!! Good luck!

Bunnyjo · 21/10/2016 09:20

Morning all, well done on some fantastic weight losses and I am in awe of the mile swim, Quim!

I couldn't resist a cheeky weigh-in this morning; I have been worried as I am definitely very pre-menstrual and am still on codeine, which is driving my GI tract crazy. However, I was delighted to see 12st 11.5lb, which is 1.5lb down from Sunday's weigh-in, and I have now lost 8lb in October!

Very long way to go, but at least everything except my poor bowels is moving in the right direction and I hope never to see 13-something when I stand on the scales again.

ponygirlcurtis · 21/10/2016 13:05

Hello everyone, some amazing losses here, well done! I haven't so much fallen off the wagon in October as never really managed to get on it. I have bounced around between 11st 4lb (my October start weight) and up to 6lb, very occasionally I saw 3lb and even once 2lb (might have dreamt that one though!). I have had a bit of a stressful and tiring month so my focus is just shot. I am hoping that once half-term is finished and I am back at work next week I can claw it back a bit, and maybe even manage one wee lb for the month.

QuimReaper · 21/10/2016 13:41

I only really clambered on it on Monday pony so don't fear! Fancy a blitz next week to see off a couple of lbs and end on a high? I'm up for it if you are!

QuimReaper · 21/10/2016 13:41

Bunny WHAT an achievement, that's fantastic! And think what a loss you'll see when AF fucks off! Grin

QuimReaper · 21/10/2016 15:43

YESSSS!

YES YES YES FUCKING YES!

It's paid off, I'm in the 56s again! Grin Been waiting for that since the September thread started, and flirted with them, but then lost my way!

Same effort again next week would put me back on track for October, fingers crossed!

ponygirlcurtis · 21/10/2016 17:02

Grin Quim - fantastic!

Definitely up for a final week blitz, that's why I am posting to try and kick-start some motivation! We can do it!
