7lbs in August anyone???

Rshard · 31/07/2016 16:48

Following on from June's and July's thread, we're aiming to lose 7lbs.

All regimes welcome. Support and encouragement guaranteed!

Starting weight for August for me is 11.10.5. This is from my WW weigh in last Wednesday which is where I ended July. 7lbs would get me to 11,3.5 just in time for my holiday.

Good luck everyone!

Greetings from the gym thread buddies!

Last night was an alcoholic disaster, but I think at least I have got the urge to be a booze hound out of my system for a little bit!
Today's menu
BF - 2 slices Ezekiel raisin toast
LU: going to treat myself to avocado and egg (on more toast - oops) or some healthy item after my workout
Snack: fruit and yogurt
Dinner - going to a friends house so not sure but have already suggested we lay off the vino

A weights class, 30 min on rower and a long Walk on the cards for today

Holiday in 2 1/2 weeks so time to get back on it after a half- hearted run of it this week :)

I do do a kettlebells class Bellend. I also do two weights classes a week. Then I do 4 cardio classes. So I'm not sure I can get much more toned. I think I'm just beyond help!

It's so difficult fitting exercise in as I work full time and am out of the house 7.30 am until 6pm. 7 gym classes a week is my limit. I have thought about switching to a gym with a pool as I love swimming, but I'm not sure it would give me the same workout as the kettlebells/weights/cardio classes I currently do.

used all the classes are very impressive, I bet you have a lovely figure. It is frustrating when you want the weight to come off certain areas and it just won't budge.

My munchies are starting to attack. It really is a 7pm thing. Anybody else get this?

You are too kind, Bellend, my figure is far from lovely! I have a dreadful stomach due to caesarian "overhang" plus loads of stretchmarks.

I get munchies when I get home from work. I could clean out the fridge if I let myself. I'm usually ok in ths evenkngs though. I used to get hungry at night but since I've been low-carbing that has gone away.

Good morning all. A quick check in while the rest of the house is still in bed and the chaos has not yet descended.

Although yesterday wasn't the best it could have been, I controlled my portions. Instead of a full portion of fish, chips and scraps, I shared with dc. They were bloody good too. We had these for the lunch which filled me up for the rest of day. We also had a baking session and I only licked one spoon, half a bowl of cake mixture and tried small pieces of the cakes we made. My 7pm munchies consisted of yoghurt and a couple of toffees.

We had a day at home, pottering about doing housework and gardening and surprisingly, I still managed to meet all my Fitbit goals. The scales were slightly down this morning.

Tomorrow will be official weigh in for me, I need to stay in the zone all day.

used I will give low carb a go today and see if that helps. It's not even hunger with me I literally stick my head in the cupboard or fridge and gobble anything within my reach. Total greed, not in the least bit attractive.

I hope you all have a good day.

Good morning everyone. My first weigh in today after a week of trying really hard and I'm down 2.4lbs! I realise this might be water and don't expect to repeat it next week but I am still chuffed. I am hoping that when my body adjusts to the new eating regime I can make a steady 1lb a week loss. To help things along I have joined a walking group with the aim of a hike once a week. I already do lots of walking but it is all on the flat so a few hills should burn a few extra calories. Today's mission is to find my missing weights, it's been years since I've seen/used them.
I ams finding this thread is really keeping me motivated. I love reading about other people's challenges and their success. Have a lovely day everyone.

Congrats to everyone who have lost and welcome to newcomers. Those who haven't lost, hang in there as it will eventually happen. I don't lose for a couple of weeks and suddenly start losing again.
Weight is now 66.1kg, therefore I have achieved my first goal of getting into a healthy bmi.
I started when my son was 7 weeks old in April and I was 85kg. I feel really proud of myself. Grin
Next goal is to get down to 63.5kg which is 10 stones I think. I hope to achieve this by next month then start focusing on my long term goal of 57kg which was my 12 weeks booking appointment weight.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday. Keep on keeping on!

Some fantastic longer term losses on here, well done everyone and it's really encouraging to hear about them.

I had a great night last night, food was amazing and not massively calorific I don't think. And i did a fair bit of dancing which still counts as exercise, yes? But I did drink a lot of wine. Blush But scales are still pleasingly down this morning and I am heading out soon for a big walk with DS2 and my parents' dog so that will help.

ponygirlcurtis thank you! It is hard. The wedding was supposed to be September next year but two weeks ago we decided to bring it forward due to the health of a family member which leaves me no time to lose weight and get toned like I had planned. I know hat is absolutely not what matter about your wedding day but I can't help get a little upset at the state of me.

I'm on this thread to try and do what I can and not completely stuff my face like I normally do with stress and deadlines... Really hasn't worked this weekend Confused but I shall draw a line and get back on track tomorrow.

Well done everyone for your weight loss this week it has been very inspiring!

squiffy I'm sure you'll be a beautiful bride! That's a really selfless gesture to bring it all forward. Well done for drawing a line on today!

Well done pony for making good choices. I try to think of all this as a diet and more a new way of living. We've just had a barbecue; I had chicken, steak and salad but steered clear of bread and potatoes. Totally didn't feel I was missing out. Obviously had a glass of wine!

Popping in for the first time since Tuesday. The week has involved being chucked out of the eating disorder clinic, hitting 15,000 steps on my fitbit for the first time, and ridding the house of all munchables. Weigh in tomorrow. If it's down, grand. If it's the same, at least it's not a gain. If it's up, I still won't fret, because I've tried weighing multiple times a day and discovered I can fluctuate by about half a stone over the course of twelve hours.

Do you mind me asking how tall you are?

Hey everyone. Been a long long week. I really hurt my back to the point I couldn't move so only managed 1 day of 10k steps. (Other days I reckon I was lucky if I did 10 steps as spent most of them lying flat on my back). On the slow mend now so will try again next week.

But have stuck to diet so hopefully will see some loss in the morning.

Good luck everyone with the weigh ins.

Well, it's been a shocking weekend for me, after a good and very disciplined week. I went out for dinner on Friday and whilst I ate really well and healthily, I had a lot of wine. Cue a rubbish night's sleep, a tired Saturday eating crisps and ice cream, then more wine and so on, and I've just had another night awake for hours and am SHATTERED.

Anyway no point dwelling on it, and it's no one' fault but mine. I realised today we're exactly half way through the summer holidays and I WILL do better this half. So back to calorie counting, monitoring my Fitbit for a minimum of 10,000 steps (preferably 12 to 14,000) and no wine in the week.

I'm going to need a lot of coffee today though!

It's a habit getting up early as I used to commute on my bicycle to work from the outskirts of London into the city and it was a two hours journey so had to leave home by 6.30 am to make it by 8.30, then shower and dressed etc. I stopped last year when I fell pregnant. But right now to be honest it's easier to get lots done and out of the way whilst my son sleeps so I don't feel bad about taking time away from him in the evenings after being at work all day. what an essay Hope you have a good day today, when do you go away?

Queen you will get there in no time, at least you are on point before it gets out of control and gets overwhelming.

Well my weigh-in is a mixed bag! I have lost three-quarters of a pound, so I am sitting at 11st 9.5lb. But Saturday and Sunday mornings the scales said 11st 8-something, which I would have been overjoyed with! But looking at my calorie deficit across the week the 0.75lb is about right - if you need a deficit of around 3,500 for 1lb, my rough deficit was 2,500. So overall I am pleased, it's getting there! Our summer holidays are just about over and I am back in work (in a school) on Thursday so I am hoping I will be even more focused once normal routine resumes.
