7lbs in August anyone???

Rshard · 31/07/2016 16:48

Following on from June's and July's thread, we're aiming to lose 7lbs.

All regimes welcome. Support and encouragement guaranteed!

Starting weight for August for me is 11.10.5. This is from my WW weigh in last Wednesday which is where I ended July. 7lbs would get me to 11,3.5 just in time for my holiday.

Good luck everyone!

Hopped on scale today and it was 145lbs so I'll assume the extra 3 yesterday was related to the massive dinner is had on Wednesday. Mad the impact these things can have!

Quick question. What time of day do you all weigh yourselves?

Groovee · 05/08/2016 08:52

Around 9am

You are all putting me to shame with your a activity levels! I haven't managed the gym this week and I doubt I will.

Wasn't feeling well at all yesterday and ended up eating very little. So I am sat with a milky cup of tea as a treat as I figured I need the call today! Grin

Hope you all have successful days.

I am also a 9am weigher, before eating and after a trip to the loo!

10 10 today, hoping to be good ish this weekend, would really like to get into single digit 10s next week.

Everyone is doing so well!

I weigh myself as soon as I get up (after a wee, of course, every little helps...).

Ok same here. I'm always a kilo (at least) heavier in the evening.

I started the month 75.5 kg and this morning am 74.5 kg but if been stuck on 75.5 for a while..

I've be very careful on the food intake this week with MFP.

I'm still waiting for my trainers to arrive to commence c25k.

Not done any excersize in 15 + years. Gulp.

I always weigh myself first thing post wee! Never ever in the evening..

Am stuck at 10.2 - really want to see the 9's

Bought size 10 jeans yesterday for the first time since forever! (I suspect today's 10 is the 12 of 15 years ago...

Joolly2 · 05/08/2016 10:46

Helen are you quite tall? I'm 5'6" and weigh the same as you and can only dream of size 10 (it's never going to happen). My goal is to get into some size 12 jeans I bought last year and have never worn. Like you I would really like my weight to start with a 9. It's not been that since pre children 30 odd years ago. As I've got older the weight has been steady but my shape has changed.

Jooly No I am only 5ft4! I am really surprised about the size 10 jeans but it's Zara and Topshop so it must be true!

In my younger days I weighed 9 stone 10 and always wore a 12.

I know I'm late to the game but can I join? I'm just getting over a bout of tonsillitis so started the month at 16 stone and already 7 lbs lighter due to inability to eat for 5 days (I don't recommend this!) And now terrified I'll instantly put it back on so need to make sure when I start to eat again I don't fall into bad habits!
Aiming to keep this initial weight loss off by the end of the month as I know I'll inevitably put some back on initially, but would be great to lose a few more too.
First aim when feeling better is to get back into couch 2 5k. Was up to running 2 miles and now had 3 weeks off due to ill health Angry

Sympathies pillowaddict I had tonsillitis in June and it was horrific. I lost around 4lbs that week so I guess it was worth it. But oh the pain!

Day one could have gone a lot better for me. I was forced to be really good as changed work spaces and there were absolutely no snacks Shock it wasn't until around 2pm that things went belly up.
I accidently had some chocolate. Was waiting for s friend and stopped by my favourite shop thinking haven't had much today have a little treat... It wasn't until 2 hours later I clicked I was giving up chocolate this month and ruined my 5 days of none. Gutted!
It didn't send my into a spiral though have just had a hairy dieters dinner and currently trying to not eat anything else.
Had my wedding dress fitting today and all I could think was how awful I looked in the dress.

bell such restraint on that picnic! I am seriously impressed! I'm doing weightwatchers and enjoying it. Had a naughty ish tea last night for treat night and didn't enjoy feeling full so I think I may have made a real life change!

Yay hello 3 stone here we come!!

Well, I am 1lb down on last week. Could be worse.

I weigh myself every Friday morning at 6.30 am, after a wee but before breakfast.

I need to be more stringent about the diet. I lost the first 1.5 stone pretty easily but the next stone has been a bugger to shift and I still need to lose a stone.

On the plus side I am.now in size 10 jeans with room to spare - although as someone said earlier, that's probably size 12 in old money! I am still a size 14 on my top half thanks to my massive shoulders and bust so I am completely top heavy. I don't know how I can lose weight from my top without losing more from the bottom. Any ideas anyone?

Down half a kg Smile.

The last few days have been vile but I managed not to stress eat like normal so that's a big win.
Then tonight at dinner I was full, so stopped eating and threw a third of my chips in the bin Grin

I've been trying to have a decent breakfast (egg sandwich works well for me), a decent morning tea (nakd bites, fruit and/or nuts) then a filling but not big lunch. That way I don't need afternoon tea. And am cutting my portion sizes at dinner, though not leaving myself hungry so that I don't raid the cupboard in the evening.

And the physio is paying off as I am walking anout almost pain free for the first time in well over a year GrinGrin

Can you try free weights to tone your arms?

Good morning, nothing like a peaceful house, a big mug of green tea and the sun shining to kick start the day.

My word it's so hard trying to eat healthy in the school holidays. Even though one of the perks of the holidays is escape from routine, my eating habits defiantly respond better to routine. My hunger and binging cravings pop up at all random times of the day. Right now I can hear the foxs glacier mints calling me from the sweet tin. What's going there!

Yesterday was a lovely day with th dcs. We had museum trip, lunch out and dcs then played out until bed time. My eating could have been better, I had chips for lunch and homemade curry for tea, not much in between and despite worrying about the impact of my lunch, the scales have not budged this morning.

I can't think of a new habit today so my goal for today will be to achieve the goals I have already set this month.

bank what is it about raiding cupboards of an evening. It's so hard at the end of the day to keep to the mindset I have at the start of the day. I definitely have some sort of gremlin that wakes up at 7pm and party's on until I go to bed.

squiffy that's fab on your first week, any tips for us?

used how about toning with weights or exercise. I hear kettlebells are good for this but I am no expert so I could be typing nonesence.

Have a good day everybody.

Can I join? I started the month at 11st 4 and a quarter and weighed myself yesterday and was 11st 3. I'm doing weight watchers and have been doing it on and off since last April. I started at 14st 3 so have lost 3 stone - but would like to get to 10st 10 for my hen weekend on 23rd September

Fantastic Squiffy! Sorry you felt so bad at your wedding dress fitting yesterday though, that is really tough. But you are doing brilliantly.

Well done Questi0ns!

I am the same as you Bank, I have come to terms with the fact I will always be larger on top!

I am overall down in weight but on Monday I will post my daily weights to show just how they have fluctuated up and down and back up then back down again! I am having a rare night out tonight (Barry White tribute! plus 3-course meal) so tomorrow's weight will be, ahem, interesting!
