Well done Shortaris!

My weekend involved a bbq where I drank too much prosecco leading me to eat too much. And then Sunday lunch at my mum's where I had managed more portions ok over dinner and then got force fed dessert - despite the fact my mum is my biggest critic. Scales were back up to 10st 4 this morning.

Back on it today though. Made a big batch of soup yesterday evening which should do lunch the next few days and been for a 7k run today.

shortaris1 · 28/06/2016 07:12

Well done on your run Colouring. I have a boozy BBQ this weekend!

MustBeThin · 28/06/2016 07:31

Well done Short and MsColouring

I'm the same today, had a few Pringles and a little chocolate pudding thing that had malteasers in at the weekend. Grin Right Rock n Roll.

blankspacebaby · 28/06/2016 13:31

Well done on the run MsColouring I actually ran in public last night instead of the treadmill as my boy was at cubs. A bit scary but ok.
2lb down this week so really pleased Smile. I finally tried cauliflower rice for tea, made a kind of special fried rice thing with some salmon and it was lovely!

shortaris1 · 28/06/2016 20:21

Ooh blank I did that last week too. Nowhere near as bad as I thought. I had it with dhal.

Emz449 · 28/06/2016 22:21

Sorry I have been AWOL for some time, can't remember the last time I posted but have had a quick read and it's great to see everyone doing so well Flowers Lots of new people too!

Personally I've been better, old eating issues have resurfaced and weight wise I could stand to gain a few pounds. Not too sure why it's happened, but I think it's been a combination of grief, stress at work and loneliness just all happening at once. Easy to fall back on to something that's almost comforting when life gets out of control! I've got some counselling sessions arranged though which should hopefully help and my boyfriend is back soon Smile I'm also moving into our new place this week which will be nice. Fresh start will be good for me I think!

Hi all, I had a pretty dodgy weekend too, got a bit drunk (still can't work out why as I didn't actually drink that much) on Fri, resulting in Saturday hangover and just having to eat whatever I felt was needed as and when throughout the morning / afternoon. Sunday was better though.

Have stopped weighing myself Sat - Mon as I just know the numbers will be going up, but if I do a good Monday they come back down OK for Tuesday weigh-in.

Am on 63.3kg now. I started this in April at about 68kg, hoping to lose a bit of weight (no particular target) for my holidays. Given that the holiday is in 8 days, I reckon I can get down to 63kg, MAYBE 62.5kg, meaning a total loss of 5kg-ish. Given that I wasn't overweight to start with (just at top of healthy BMI) and that basically I have only been dieting 4-5 days out of 7 every week, I'm more or less satisfied! Just worried how much of it is going to go straight back on during the holiday itself...

Good luck with fresh start Emz. Well done on loss blank.

MustBeThin · 29/06/2016 09:07

Well done Blank and Mixety Star

Emz so sorry to hear you're having a tough time Sad but glad things are looking up for you. You must be really looking forward to a fresh start with your BF in your new place. Take care of yourself. Flowers

I'm down to 11st this morning Shock I'm not sure what's happening but weight loss had slowed right down to the point where I wasn't losing anything for over 2 weeks and then I'd lose 2-3lb in a week. Since I've come back from holiday I seem to be losing weight fast like I did in the first month or two of dieting. Confused maybe it's because I was eating a lot more on holiday and it's confused my metabolism? I don't know but I'm not complaining Grin I will actually do a naked jig if the scales get in the 10s Grin I'm apparently 3lbs away from top end healthy BMI.

MustBeThin · 29/06/2016 10:18

Oh and I've lost exactly 2 and a half stone now Grin💪

Stellar67 · 29/06/2016 11:22

Argh! Lost post!
I was here last week then instantly went awol as I got a cold and fed it.
But I started again yesterday and feel ready and able.
Looks like everyone is doing well. Emz, fresh start is good. Hope you enjoy your new home.

Sugarandsalt · 01/07/2016 08:44

Hello all. I took a little break from weighing in as I was getting obsessed and frustrated with my plateau. Weighed in today at 79kg (12st6). So that's a total of 3st5lbs from starting weight. I'm delighted, but still have 2 stone to go...

MsColouring · 02/07/2016 07:57

Down to 10st 1 this morning so I have lost 2lb this week.

I reset mfp to lose a lb a week last weekend. This gives me 1350 calories instead of 1200 but all this week I've actually still been below 1200 as I've just got into that pattern. I'd ideally like to lose another stone but more slowly so I've got a better chance of maintaining. I think I'm worrying about introducing more calories into my routine and then losing control despite the fact I am running three times a week now.

MustBeThin · 02/07/2016 09:00

Well done Sugar and Colouring you're doing soooo well.

I think it's going to be weird moving onto maintenance calories, I'm used to eating like this now and never really feel hungry. I mean I can always eat extras like cake whether I'm hungry or not Grin but I'm not sure I can really up my meal calories. I basically eat the same meals as before already, just smaller portions. I went on holiday and it felt like I ate loads more buy didn't gain any real weight Hmm just bloat that went the day after I had my first weigh in.

Scales wobbled between 10st 13 and 11st today Shock I'm sooooo close to the 10's.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/07/2016 10:15

Hello MFPers!

I've had a bit of an emotional week and it's been a bit hit and miss.

Even so I lost 1.2lbs and went down into the next stone. I'm not telling you which one as I'm ashamed.

But onwards and downwards!

acatcalledjohn · 02/07/2016 12:42

Still lots of good results for everyone despite gains/holidays/personal stuff happening!

I got terrible sunburn last weekend on my upper back and shoulders, think 1st degree burn teetering on the edge of blister territory long live Aloe Vera. It's been agony and prevented me from exercising properly as it's just been too painful. Still, managed to get one cardio class (skipped the crunches) and one Pilates class in this week, but didn't walk as much as I like. So I only lost about 0.5lb.

Currently my back looks lizard like and it's killing me I can't reach to peel properly Grin. Still, I should be able to my classes again next week as its gone from painful to mildly sore so perfectly manageable!

5.6lbs to lose by the 18th of July...

What doesn't help achieve that goal is that I am currently sitting in Waitrose café having just devoured a pastry Blush

acatcalledjohn · 02/07/2016 12:45

BooP, don't be ashamed. Milestones like that ought to be celebrated! You are heading in the right direction Smile

StewardsEnquiry · 02/07/2016 12:55

Hi everyone. I have had a fall off the wagon. Then I bounced a few times Blush. Anyway, this morning I was 10st 7 so time to do something about it before it gets utterly out of control.

Start weight 10st 7
Goal weight 9st 13
End goal weight 9st 9

MustBeThin · 02/07/2016 13:16

Well done on the losses everyone GrinStar

Good to hear from you Steward how have you been? You'll be back in the 9's in no time. 💪you've got this

StewardsEnquiry · 02/07/2016 13:21

Thanks MustBe. That really helps! I've been okay but took my eye off the ball, stopped tracking... same old same old. Vitally though I never stopped weighing myself every morning so at least I could see the upward creep and didn't end up in denial for 12 months and a stone heavier. I feeling good and motivated though.

You have been doing really well. You are very consistent - that has to be a major strength in long term weight loss.

MustBeThin · 02/07/2016 13:49

Thanks Steward I'm exactly 2 and a half stone down since January and went away for 10 days and didn't gain despite not weighing myself or tracking calories. Grin was so pleased and the weight has started coming off more quickly again after slowing right down. I think eating more on holiday confused my metabolism a bit. Confused

It's good that you stuck to weighing yourself, I think I will definitely do that whenever I get to goal (still have no goal weight) I think if I didn't weigh and started upping my calories, I'd start to avoid the scales again because I wouldn't want to see a gain and then my weight would probably get out of control again. Vicious circle

StewardsEnquiry · 02/07/2016 13:58

Exactly. That's the vicious circle I usually get myself into. I have been a yoyo dieter for the last 15 years since I went to university.

Do you feel amazing now? And what are you doing for clothes? None of your old ones can fit any more?!

MustBeThin · 02/07/2016 14:15

I can tell I've lost weight now when I look in the mirror Grin I can't really remember what I looked like before now though and I'm a camera dodger so don't really have any pics to compare. I do get loads of comments about how much weight I've lost though which is always nice. Smile I bought 3 pairs of jeans when I weighed 11st 7 because all my old ones were hanging off me I bought 12's and was mostly a size 16 before, now they are starting to feel a little loose and I've only lost 7lb since I bought them. Shock I bought some new tops too in 10's and 12's my boobs have shrunk loads and it felt weird buying anything in a 10 because usually I buy bigger tops to fit my chest. I never thought I'd fit into a size 10 anything. Grin I have a very limited wardrobe at the min because I don't want to buy anything else until I've lost all the weight and all my old clothes are massive.

StewardsEnquiry · 02/07/2016 19:54

That's great. I was a 14 at my biggest and now have a few size 8s and mostly 10s. I remember buying my first pair of size 10 trousers - I'm pretty sure I posted on here about it. Repeatedly! I also had a big issue with bras when I had shrinking boobs. I was the same as you in that I often had to size up to fit my chest in, and now I can buy a Small teeshirt or a size 10 top. It does feel great. I think the new clothes sizes are what really resets my thinking as a slim person and a small person. I do not ever want to lose that. This is good motivation to get on with slimming, actually, talking about all the great stuff taht happens with weight loss.

I have kept to my calories again today. Just room for a coffee and maybe a square of chocolate.

Not2bObvious · 02/07/2016 23:20

Nice to see you Steward and well done getting control of it all now, you'll get back on track no bother now you've caught it in time.
emz, I hope you're doing ok, I was concerned you'd gotten a bit trapped in weightloss. I'm sad that it dragged you in too much but very very happy you know this now. Hope you get what you need from counselling, from what you shared there'd been a lot of loss for your family and that's very hard on anyone. Mind you x

StewardsEnquiry · 03/07/2016 07:47

Thanks Not2. I hope I'm back in control - I need a week or so to see that. But I am down 7/8 of a pound again this morning which is good motivation to carry on. I love it when bloat weight just drops off!

Emz - I've just read back up the thread. Sorry you have been having a hard time and hope you feel better soon. Flowers
