Well 10.8 on the nose this morning - however away for work tomorrow till Tuesday so that will be interesting based on my 6 pound gain from the last trip - maybe 11-10.8 will be my "happy weight" however it is not making me particularly happy - 10 - 10.6 would be better

Have a great weekend everyone!!

MustBeThin · 20/05/2016 17:32

Forgot to weight myself this morning Hmm was super busy but it's probably a good thing after yesterday's chippy tea. Grin

MsColouring · 21/05/2016 08:43

Drinks and nibbles round a friend's yesterday evening. Just confessed all to mfp which has told me that if every day was like yesterday I would stay the same after 5 weeks.

Psyching myself up for a run this morning but I have a cold coming which I'm trying to ignore. nothing much else on this weekend so will try and get back to the healthy eating. Tricky bit this week is that following the boys' birthdays, we don't have much money left until payday so it's eating what we've got in the cupboards and freezer.

SitsOnFence · 21/05/2016 09:08

Hello, I've been terrible at updating recently, but had to let you all know that I have reached my goal Grin Grin Well, my interim one anyway.

I think I still have another 1/2 stone to go before I'm back in all my old clothes, but I have increased calories and started exercising properly again in order to lose the rest in a slow, sustainable sort of way and not go mad, binge out and regain the weight. I upped my calories from 1,200 to 1,400 4 days ago and already have so much more energy.

Thank you for this thread and all the support here, it's really helped. I'll be sticking around for quite some time in all probability until I reach my final goal, but wanted to share this success, because reading about other people's successes has been so important to me.

Well done Sits! Great news!

MustBeThin · 21/05/2016 09:24

Well done sits Star Grin so pleased for you.

Got on the scales this morning and I'm still 11st 5, no movement for a week.

obviouslymarvellous · 21/05/2016 09:31

Hi
I'm new to this thread! Anyway my story so far I've gone from a size 22/24 to a size 18 and have lost over 4 stone. I've been using mfp since Feb and haven't really lost much (7lbs!) I've regularly exercised but just can't seem to lose anything now and I've become really fed up! I want to get under the next stone bracket and and only 5lbs off but no matter what I seem to do it won't shift!!!! I'm 2 weeks off a little holiday and feeling really fed up. I've stopped logging what I eat too now as I'm that fed up! Anyone want to be my pal and give me a kick up the bum!

MsColouring · 21/05/2016 10:53

Hi obviously. How have you lost the 4 stone? How many calories has mfp given you?

obviouslymarvellous · 21/05/2016 13:14

The 4 stone has been over a few years not using mfp but just eating better and walking (twins and a singleton help too Wink) it gives me 1700 a day at present but I usually eat around 1500 and do exercise too - it hasn't changed in over a month now goes up a 1lb or 2 then down again. Can I blame my pre menopausal state? I am going to get back on it as last two weeks I have not really tried and see if I can get cracking again X

MsColouring · 21/05/2016 13:43

Obviously - Just a few thoughts... Could there possibly be a few calories creeping in that you have not accounted for? E.g portion size a little bigger than you think they are, milk in tea, fruit juices, alcoholic drinks, cooking oil. Do you weigh your food?

Are logging your exercise calories and if so, are you eating them back? It's recommended that you only eat back a about half of your exercise calories and some people on here (me included) prefer not to eat back exercise calories.

obviouslymarvellous · 21/05/2016 14:07

The last two weeks I haven't tried I have to be honest Confused but before that I never ate any calories and was doing spinning and jogging on alternate weekdays. I don't drink so it can't be that. I will start again on Monday and see what happens... Can I not just blame my pre menopause hormones Grin

MsColouring · 21/05/2016 21:46

Good luck with it obviously. Maybe a couple of weeks of strictly sticking to 1500 and hopefully you'll see some results.

gentlydownthestreamm · 22/05/2016 21:32

How have everyone's weekends been?

Saturday was rather disastrous for me, we had a sort of party at ours in the evening which ended up going on until 4am! As host of course I had to stay up until everyone left, and I ended up mindlessly eating a LOT of crisps / cake / sweets etc that people had brought and put out as nibbles, as well as drinking a fair amount too! So hard trying to log that sort of thing in MFP, but I did my best and suffice to say I was waaaaaay over target. However, today I woke up late and haven't felt hungry most of the day, so have eaten very sensibly and also done an extra-hard workout. So hopefully I've made up somewhat for yesterday...

Well done sits on reaching your goal! Careful with maintaining now, that's where I fell off the wagon last time.

Obviously - sounds a bit perplexing, assuming you're still overweight despite weight loss so far, I'd have though you'd be losing at 1700 per day + exercise. I think you'll just have to lower the calories for 2 or 3 weeks and see how you get on.

MsColouring · 22/05/2016 22:15

Long walk and run yesterday morning to make up for excess calories Friday night. Managed to stay within my calories for the last couple of days. Got a bring a plate lunch on Tuesday and I'm out next Friday and Saturday so going to try really hard to stay on track the rest of the time - bit worried about plateauing at this point - I did last time I lost weight when I started feeling more comfortable in my own skin and then didn't try as hard.

MsColouring · 24/05/2016 23:08

Where is everybody? Am well and truly into the 10s now - scales at 10lb 12oz this morning. And had absolutely no desire to eat any cake in th staff room today so back on track.

gentlydownthestreamm · 25/05/2016 06:18

Hi Colouring - I'm here. Well done re: scales and cake resistance.

I'm doing OK, scales have told me 65kg for the last couple of days, so I'm happy. That's 3kg off in a month and a half. I have another month and a half until my holiday, if I can shift another 3kg in that time and get down to 62kg, will be delighted.

I'm trying to do 1300 calories Mon-Thurs and not eat back exercise cals, and 1600 calories Fri-Sun and allowing myself to eat back the exercise cals on those days. And not beating myself up if I go really over on one day a week due to parties /guests/ dinner invites etc. Finally, that is what seems to be working.

plumstone · 25/05/2016 09:17

Hi All, well this travelling malarky is lovely for the air miles and seeing different place but playing havoc with the water consumption. Back to the uK yesterday and 10.10 this morning, Need to start upping the water on planes methinks!!! However have cracked the eating - eat before getting on the plane, and take fruit for the plane and avoid the plane food.

Hopefully I will see 10.7 soon - can;t believe that I am being this picky about the whole thing, not so long ago seeing an 11 as the starting number was an exciting moment - odd how we become so fixated on things as weight loss continues!! Have a great week xx

MustBeThin · 25/05/2016 09:38

Hi all! Well done everybody. I dropped 1lb at the weekend to 11st 4 but the last two days I've been 11st 5. Haven't gone over my calories so must be bloat, not been great with drinking water so that'll probably be the cause. Hmm I am going out for lunch, going to have steak probably so skipped breakfast and will have soup for tea.

MrsPear · 25/05/2016 13:09

Hi everybody well done on the losses! I have lost another 2lb. Nearly at my first goal which is the weight I was after ds2. Second goal is to be the weight I was when I fell pregnant with him.

Mothersruin75 · 25/05/2016 13:09

Hi All, some brilliant losses well done.

I've stayed the same this week which is ok as I lost a bit of motivation over the weekend. I didn't go wildly off but we had a takeaway one night and went out for a steak and quite a few drinks another night so I'm happy it's not a gain. Am back on it now and keen again but next week will be tricky as I'm away with work (and plane journeys never do me any favours) then when we get home it's a big birthday for my mum so we have a big weekend planned with family. My plan is to attempt to stay the same, will eat as heathily as I can and have walks whenever possible....

Bathsheba3 · 25/05/2016 14:08

Hello! There are some amazing weight looses - well worth the hard work, and so deserved everyone.

I keep yo-yo-ing up & down 6lbs. But a better week for me so far, so mustered up the courage overcome the guilt to peek on this thread, and saw the wave from Must - thank you Star. I'm a stone over you & Not2be - which just shows that if you stick to the calories you loose the weight, and if you don't, you don't like me!.

I'm on Day 3 (again) of no-sugar, one of my biggest downfalls. Keep me strong please, everyone.

MustBeThin · 26/05/2016 09:32

Well done on the loss Pear and maintaining Ruin

Good to hear from you Bath Grin you can do this. 💪

Back down to 11st 4 this morning despite my steak dinner yesterday. Grin

MsColouring · 26/05/2016 22:56

Got a new job today!

Basically haven't been able to eat today as was so nervous so haven't clocked many calories!

gentlydownthestreamm · 27/05/2016 08:45

Congrats Colouring! Will it be a big change for you?

After a week of hovering at or just above 65kg, today scales finally showed 64.7. It felt good! Body fat also at an all time low of 31.7%.

As well as MFP, I have also started flirting with the 16:9 way of eating, as I am not really a breakfast person anyway. But I'm wary of stopping counting calories during the 8 hour eating window. Anyone tried this before?

MustBeThin · 27/05/2016 09:11

Congrats Colouring StarWine

Well done on the loss Gently

Well I'm bloody back up to 11st 5 AGAIN Angry I only had 1100 calories yesterday and drank loads of water. Since I got down to 11st 4 at the weekend I've been upto .5 and back down to .4 twice. Annoying Hmm
