Morning all. Calories logged for the day at 1250. Out with friends this eve so have put in food choice & wine allocation (generous!) which allows little else for the day. Have been averaging 1000 cals since monday, and have lost 3 lbs already this week. Really really hope I can stick to plan, have a nice time, and not go overboard this eve. Fizzy water will be my friend.

Thread is quiet - hope that means good news for everyone Wink

MsColouring so nice your DD can join you on your run, must make it so much more enjoyable and as well as getting fit nice mother daughter time. How old is she?

Welcome back Emz sorry to her your uncle's so ill. Well done on not going too off plan. What are scales saying this morn?

3lbs already is amazing Bath you seem to be totally in the right mindset I'm sure you'll be fine this evening, good that you've planned out what you're having.

I've managed to fit in to some size 14 jeans that had been too tight for me to wear. Very nice feeling. People have also been noticing my weight loss which is nice. Great motivational boost.

Hope everyone's having a good day.

gentlydownthestreamm · 22/04/2016 13:20

Lots of good reports, well done re: sticking to goals and going for runs all! Emz, I'm sorry about your uncle, it must be very hard.

I'm now staying at mum's for a couple of days, ie danger danger! The fridge is full of treats! Managed to haul myself out for a 5k run this morning which I felt pleased with. Then ate two bacon rolls! They were delicious though, estimating about 650 Cal in total. Probably won't eat again until this evening when we are going out for a curry. If I stick to a chicken saag or prawn bhuna, and don't overdo it on rice and naan (and wine) I might just be able to stick to my 1600cal goal, given extra calories earned from run this morning. We'll see!

MsColouring · 22/04/2016 17:16

My dd's 9. The run is great for mother daughter time - especially now we've gone past having bedtime stories which used to be our 1-1 time.

I've had two different colleagues positively comment on my weight loss over the last couple of days so feeling good.

Emz449 · 22/04/2016 20:15

Thanks guys Flowers

Scales stayed the same this morning so was a relief. Food has been alright today. Not all that hungry at the moment. It's hitting me a bit more today so haven't felt much like eating

B - weetabix and banana
D - small carvery, gammon and veg with one roast potato
S - fruit and a piece chocolate fridge cake
E - spinning class

3lbs down this morning! Couldn't believe it when I saw the scales, very happy

Hope you all have a good weekend

So I may have drunk several hundred calories last night round a friend's but thrown up this morning several times (sorry tmi!) - not exactly recommended.

On the plus side had only had 1100 calories before that and had a run so not all bad lol! (Was probably why I couldn't handle the alcohol)

MustBeThin · 24/04/2016 11:57

Just a quick check in! Forgot to get on the scales this morning before I had a bath so don't know today's weight but up until yesterday I'd had no gain/loss since I last posted. Grin

gentlydownthestreamm · 24/04/2016 12:10

Yesterday a bit of a disaster for me...was reasonably good all day, but caved in the evening and ended up eating a lot of nuts and cheese before dinner, a lot of chocolate after dinner and a LOT of wine before during and after dinner! 700 cals over target, but I'm trying to remember that if I hadn't have been doing MFP I'd have undoubtedly eaten even more than that, so still better than nothing.

Won't be weighing myself for a few days I don't think...

SitsOnFence · 24/04/2016 13:10

Well done on your 3lbs losses Emz and bath, and well done on getting into your old jeans Panda!

I am finally back in the 9s, although only by the skin of my teeth (9st 13.8lbs, please don't round it up!) I'm not quite back in my old jeans, although my current ones are almost falling down, so I may have to buy a couple of interim pairs before I have an embarrassing incident!

Bathsheba3 · 24/04/2016 17:11

Oh dear MsC. Hope you are feeling better now. Your post did make me smile tho Wink.

Needless to say I didn't stick to my calories Friday night (but on the plus side I had a really lovely evening). AND we had Chinese last night. I'm be in hiding for the next few days with you Gently.

Great loss Emz. Don't blow-it alway in one weekend like me! Blush Great that you haven't gained Must. I reckon you'll see a good loss this week - you deserve to.

Emz449 · 24/04/2016 20:03

Stayed the same this morning. Been a healthy weekend though, made brownies for my colleagues tomorrow so might have one!
B - two slices of toast, poached eggs and bacon
D - roast pork and green beans
S - double decker bar
E - spinning class

Mothersruin75 · 24/04/2016 21:42

Oh MrsC I feel your pain and have been there. Hope you're feeling better!

I'm avoiding all alcohol at the moment as it's just easier, I get the munchies really badly when I have a hangover and it's never for fruit it's always crisps & chocolate, washed down with full fat Coke.

Have been sticking with my 1200 goal every day. Am resisting getting on the scales till Wednesday so hope for a decent loss again.

Today I had:
B - Oat So Simple
L- Salad
D - Roast chicken, new pots and lots of veg. Mini Twister...
S - Rich tea biscuit.

MsColouring · 24/04/2016 21:50

Not so fun day doing paperwork with a hangover.

Managed to stick within my calories today though and resist the urge to stuff myself with carbs.

MustBeThin · 25/04/2016 08:42

No loss today so stayed the same weight for 7 days. Hmm
Hope everyone has a good day. 😊

plumstone · 25/04/2016 08:44

Have written off the weekend - yesterday.... well less said about that the better Grin back on it today, an will resist the scales till Friday morning - why is that so hard!!!

Have a great day! xoxo

gentlydownthestreamm · 25/04/2016 10:56

Plum - I'm with you re: writing off the weekend! But let's not be too hard on ourselves, part of the reason I like MFP is that it doesnt restrict you to a particular way of eating and is compatible with real life, I think going off the rails occasionally is fine as long as you make an effort to make up for it after! Which I am now doing...

Plan for today:

B: 2 rice cakes with peanut butter
L: M+S superfood salad, small tin of sardines
D: Leftover roast beef with small amount mash, and lots of broccoli
E: Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 workout

plumstone · 25/04/2016 11:21

Hi Gently - I know I don't know why I am ripping myself to shreds about it - It had been in the diary for weeks, and I had a fantastic day (mums net meet up with copies amounts of fried stuff with gin and wine!!) and had even written down "hangover day" for sunday so knew there would be a take away and not much else!!

I am out and about for work, and have 3 lots of of 200 cal little boxes of stuff with me and then it will be dinner when I get home.

Big exciting news is that my daily walk uses 234 calories and 5000 steps every morning on my way to the bus stop (there is one closer but I always go the long way) Now if I can motivate my self to do the same on the way home - I will be 10,000 daily which I feel even if not logged will assist the whole project!!!

Definitely think that life is for living and as long as I am back on the straight and narrow, a little hair down, gin swilling, carb consuming is a good thing!!!!

Emz449 · 25/04/2016 11:50

No loss this morning! But happy with my loss at the weekend, it's going to be slower now I'm lighter

B - Weetabix and banana
L - roast pork and green beans
D - cuppa soup before gym
S - apples and brownie
E - Gym after work

My uncle died this evening Sad

OP posts:
MsColouring · 25/04/2016 18:44

Sorry to hear that Emz.

MustBeThin · 25/04/2016 18:54

So sorry for your loss Emz Flowers

SitsOnFence · 25/04/2016 20:02

Oh Emz Sad

MsColouring · 25/04/2016 20:11

Dh bought some new scales today as my £5 set from home bargains don't go high enough (he is a big man!). Weighed himself and his weight was higher than it was when he was weighed at the doctors a couple of weeks ago. Weighed myself on them and I am showing as over half a stone heavier than I am on my mechanical scales. Doubting now as to which I should trust. His are digital so easier to read but like believing that I am nearly down to 11 stone!

Mothersruin75 · 25/04/2016 21:01

Emz - very sorry to hear about your uncle Sad
