Welcome This!

Somehow up 0.75 lb to 12 st 1, both today and yesterday, despite being good. I have been eating heavy foods though as part of my calories (carbs) rather than lighter foods (protein & veg) so feeling v heavy. Hoping to get to the 11s v soon.

MustBeThin · 10/03/2016 07:24

Welcome This

Ah Bath nothing worse than a gain when you've been good.

My scales are saying I'm down another 1lb today Hmm very strange but I'll take it. Grin

Bathsheba3 · 10/03/2016 07:26

Up again by 0.5. Grrrrrrrrrr. Lets hope it will come down tomorrow and I have a poo today.

Everyone are quiet - hope that is good news, and you lot are all sticking to your calories!

Bathsheba3 · 10/03/2016 07:27

Hurray! Knew it would happen Must - it had to. The whoosh has begun.

StewardsEnquiry · 10/03/2016 07:52

KOKO Bath. Senna is your friend in these cases.

Great whoosh Must!

Welcome This.

Not2 are you lurking? How are you doing?

Jonty I hope this week is improving for you.

I am down to 9st12 this morning. My maintenance feels a bit precarious so I would like to get a little lower so I have more headroom. Maybe 9st9 as a target.

I have a free day to do whatever I want. I am going to do some work that has been haunting me for weeks, and perhaps fit in a walk. I am trying to be more productive and less lazy !

ThisIsme2 · 10/03/2016 08:06

Thanks Smile

I did ok yesterday, finished just over my target calories and didn't feel hungry.

slebmum1 · 10/03/2016 11:58

Hi all can I join you?

I don't know how much I weigh - scales have helpfully broken but I am guessing around 15 stone. Was doing really well before christmas and got down to 14 but then I bust my knee ligaments, no exercise at all, and waaaaaay too much to eat.

Anyway I'm back on it, first run back today and it felt good, only 3.5k but after doing nothing for so long it wasn't too bad.

Have set mfp to 1500 a day and not eating exercise calories, feeling motivated. Will sort scales today!

MustBeThin · 10/03/2016 15:10

Thanks everyone

Welcome Sleb

I'm shattered, been up since 5:45 and spent 5 hours walking round crufts carrying heavy bags. I'm going to be really naughty and have a takeaway for tea, I will probably regret it if the scales show a gain tomorrow but this will have been the first takeaway/bad day so far this year and 5 hours walking with bags has got to have burnt a few calories right?! I'm far to tired to cook and my body feels like I've been steamrolled.

Omg I'm going to regret I aren't I. Sad

Bathsheba3 · 10/03/2016 20:10

Enjoy every mouthful Must, guilt free, you deserve it, and tomorrow is a new day.

PandaBear30 · 10/03/2016 23:25

Just wrote a long message but annoyingly my phone has lost it. This one will only be brief I'm afraid.

Welcome to This and Sleb

Well done Must after the long wait, it's whooshing off.

Good day for me today1206 call for the day plus a 4 mile walk. Setting myself a mini goal of reaching 12st 10 by Easter, counting from my last weigh in on Monday, that's 6lbs in (a day less) 3 weeks, definitely doable just need to do it...!

Bathsheba3 · 11/03/2016 07:59

At last. Back in the 11s. 11 13.5. And I forgot to get the Senna too. Still in need!

I had to publicly expose body (ok, in leggings) and weight yesterday to new osteopath. Kind man didn't flinch, but did say to loose weight for good of the skeletal and muscular structure. It's true though, isn't it? 1 stone, let alone 2 stones is a huge extra effort placed on every part of the body.

Good idea to set mini-goals Panda.

Keep going everyone.

MustBeThin · 11/03/2016 09:27

Well one for getting back in the 11's Bath Star

I'm 1lb up to 12st 5, , not too concerned only had half a portion of my takeaway and I couldn't eat it all plus I haven't been for a number 2 and TOM is due. Hopefully it won't take 2 weeks to get back down to 12st 4. Smile

Not hungry this morning, feel horribly bloated just had a cuppa and will stay within 1000 Cals today, scrambled egg on toast for lunch and chilli for tea. Will also have a little snack tonight.

ThisIsme2 · 11/03/2016 10:44

I had a good day yesterday, kept just within my calorie allowance and didn't feel hungry. I had toast for breakfast (I really struggle to eat stuff in the morning, so can't face porridge etc), baked potato for lunch with cheese (only a little cheese though) and stirfry with noodles for dinner, snacked on a couple of Tuc biscuits, a mini muffin and a biscuit and had a cappucino.

Not2bObvious · 12/03/2016 06:56

Hi all, Stew popped in for a little lurk this morning 😘 Well done for staying in the 9's! Must I'm so pleased you're preserving despite the scales testing you, delighted the weights started to drop again - the takeaway was required so worth the fake .5lb gain. You need to splurge from time to time to stay sane. Also strengthens resolve, once you can have the extra & get back to plan, that in itself is very valuable longterm. It's was naturally slim people can do, part of getting to a healthy weight & staying there is gaining the skill of "once in a while"
Well - news from the BSD. I've dropped 9.8 pound in 3 weeks and 4 days (ignoring scales flux this morning due to my own takeaway mishap😳) So no bread/potatoes/pasta/rice in that time apart from 2 small delivery occasions (small portion of brown rice 2 weeks ago, small taste of bread on Mothers Day) Most days getting my 10,000 steps in and 2 decent HIIT/weights workouts a week. Going from 800-1000 probably 4 days a week, up to 1400 on 3 days. 4 more days to go to complete the 4 weeks I'd planned, then 5 days away & then back omit but a bit more relaxed. I'm hoping to maintain while I'm away but that's probably a lofty expectation! Chances are I'll regain a bit & need a week or 2 to rebalance. But once that's done, I'll be aiming for 1lb a week and I think I can do that.
Welcome all the new folk, every time I pop in I love to see new names. You're all doing so well! Bath, you keep chugging away, you'll get there and stay there soon. Jonty, hope you're ok, remember we all think you're Super Woman doing so well with so much on your plate & not putting too much on your plate 😉
Keep the chats up, I'm cheering you on all with a big glass of water and no toast

wispaxmas · 12/03/2016 07:37

Not been around for a while, but hurray Mustbe!! I guarantee you that you were losing fat during those 16 days and gaining muscle. The jeans are the proof! Consider investing in a scale that measure body fat% maybe? I was getting frustrated at the scale moving really slowly compared to how many calories I was burning according to my Fitbit and eating according to MFP and then I decided to start measuring body fat and lean % and discovered I was losing fat just as fast I thought I should be, but putting on muscle even though I haven't been doing muscle-building exercises and just walking more.

wispaxmas · 12/03/2016 07:40

Well, converting my 82.3kg into stone/lbs puts me at 12st 13.4lbs, so just under that first goal threshold of under 13 stone Grin

According to the scales I've lost nearly 2kg of fat in the last 10 days and gained half a kg of muscle, so I'm feeling good and motivated even though I was hoping to 'lose weight' faster than I am overall, at least I know my body fat % is going down.

MustBeThin · 12/03/2016 08:40

Good to here from you Not2b you'll soon be in the 10's Grin bet you can't wait. Hope you have a lovely holiday.

Well done Wispa the on reading your goal of getting into the 12's. Star

I'm between weights by the looks of it, I'm back down to 12st 4 in my usual weighing spot but everywhere else it juggles between 4 and 5 before settling in 5 Hmm so I guess I'm still 12st 5 hopefully be gone in a day or 2 unless I have TOM gain too. Good day yesterday, finished just under 1000cals.

Bathsheba3 · 12/03/2016 13:42

Hurray into the 12's wispax - well done you & keep going.

And lovely to hear from you Not2b. You are doing absolutely brilliantly, considering where you were at my hefty weight. But you are so much in the zone. Perhaps I need to do a hard-core 4 weeks like you ....

I've got a dinner party this evening, catching up with mates from a long way back. Really looking forward to it. I have lots of tasty things, but will do my best to hold-off pigging it. No opportunity to earn myself some exercise calories today.... A run tomorrow for sure.

And you are steadily decreasing too Must. Fab. You lot are all amazing

MustBeThin · 13/03/2016 09:53

Hope you had a lovely dinner party Bath

I'm back at 12st 4 today Grin fingers crossed for no TOM gain. Been really hungry these last few days, I'm presuming it's because of TOM but it hasn't made me this hungry the last few months. Hmm not given in though.

Can't wait for my beef Sunday dinner later. Grin

PandaBear30 · 14/03/2016 08:07

Just checking in quickly to say I'm 3lbs down this week to 12st 13. So happy to be back in the 12s. Determined to never again see the 13s. Only 3lbs to go until I tech my Easter target. Definitely doable.

Hope you've all had good weekends.

ThisIsme2 · 14/03/2016 08:57

I failed miserably this weekend. I was out all day Saturday and ate a lot of rubbish, then yesterday I was tired and lazy and had nothing in the house, so just carried on eating crap. However, catching sight of myself in the mirror naked last night made me determined to up my game ..

I really crave sweet or salty things though.

JontyDoggle37 · 14/03/2016 12:31

MustBeThin a very belated thank you for the hug
Bath glad to hear you're back in the 11's
Had some much needed family time over the weekend, got some good news on the poorly horse, son got over his tonsillitis, and got some potential other income coming in. Weighing 10st 2 at the moment, which is 4lbs over goal, and wanted to get down to 9st 9, so some work to do. But tracking all food today. It's a start.

PandaBear30 · 14/03/2016 23:05

Have now had a chance to catch up on the posts from over the weekend.
Not2b well done on your weightloss. Hope you have a fab holiday, going anywhere nice? When you're back will you go back to the BSD or counting calories and using MFP?
Wispa well done on your loss. I'm also now at 12st 13, such a nice feeling to be in the 12's again.
Bath how was the dinner party?
Must hope the scales have been behaving for you today.
This weekends can be really hard. One day of eating badly shouldn't affect your weight loss too much. The reason I've always struggled with my weight is because I could never stop at 1 bad day. I'm really trying to change that mindset at the moment.
Jonty lots of positive stuff happening and even if you have put on a few lbs you're back on it and haven't let it get out of hand. Hard to eat well when there's lots of stressful stuff going on in our lives.

I've had a fairly good day coming in at around 1200. I've got two evenings out this week so need to have some soup days to balance everything out. That's definitely something I've learnt from this thread is that it's OK to have the odd meal out/indulgence as long as you compensate with some lower cal days. Definitely key to losing and maintaining a healthy weight.

MustBeThin · 15/03/2016 08:12

Well done on getting into the 12's Panda it's a brilliant feeling moving down into the next Stone.

Weekends can be hard Tricky you automatically want to eat bad foods but Mondays are made for getting back on the wagon. Grin

Glad to hear things are going better Jonty you'll soon be back in the 9's.

I weighed 12st 3 today Grin down another 1lb! 18lbs down so far this year, 3lbs left until 1 and a half stone loss and 4lbs to go until I'm in the 11's. Wooooo

JontyDoggle37 · 15/03/2016 09:28

Panda sounds like you're planning well
Must that it such great weight loss and some fantastic milestones coming up to look forward to!
Really struggling to get my head back in the zone, ended up not tracking everything yesterday and eating too much as a result. I just don't have time to run at the moment and that is normally what keeps me on the straight and narrow. Going to log breakfast now and see if I can keep it together today!!!
