I also started feeling a bit sorry for myself an hour ago and ate four toffee crisps. So... yeah. Not quite 1000 kcals today.

Thankfulforeveryday · 01/03/2016 21:22

1 Lb off this week!! Feeling focused again now. It's slow going but it's coming off! 9lb to goal Smile

MustBeThin · 01/03/2016 21:36

Well done Thankful I'm still the bloody same weight Angry It's been like 10 days now.

Not2bObvious · 01/03/2016 21:48

Popping in to say Hi! Must, could your scales be dodgy? Are you..bunged up? Have you tried increasing the water to flush your system? I'm on around 6.8 down in 2 weeks, it was 8.4 last Friday but the weekend seemed to screw up the numbers - despite no drink, no crisps, no choc, no more than 1100-1300 cals a day! Talk about p'ed off. But I have been bunged, so I think it'll right itself. 2 more weeks of the plan, it's pretty ok, if only I could drop the same in the next 2 weeks 😁

MustBeThin · 01/03/2016 22:31

Hi Not2b 6.8lb is bloody fantastic. Grin

Don't think scales are dodgy (although they will be when I throw them through the bloody window) OH was 4lb down today, lucky sod, he gained 2lb last week so lost that plus 2lb more eating the same meals as me but obviously man portions and he's had extra cheese sandwiches at the weekend and bottles of beer. Envy I've had nothing extra, been eating the same stuff and just not moved. I'm going to start drinking more water, I find it really hard to force more than I feel like I need down though.
Keep thinking I might buy some new scales anyway but I'd be well annoyed if I weighed more on them. Sad

I don't bloody know, I suppose I'd rather be staying the same than gaining though but it's not half frustrating, especially when 10 days ago I reached 14lb loss and I'd decided that I'd treat myself to a chippy tea when I lost a couple more pounds so I had a bit of leeway. Sad

dragonsarebest · 02/03/2016 08:26

MustBe I bet you'll step on the scales any day now and see a big drop. It must be frustrating that they're not moving yet.

Smilla your toffee crisps made me LOL. thank you.

I had a GREAT day yesterday in that I was ridiculously busy and didn't have time to eat until about 7 last night. Wasn't even hungry either. Just goes to show how much is actually boredom, looking for distractions etc. If every day was like yesterday I'd be at target in no time. Does anyone have any tips for dealing with boredom snacking - apart from obviously self-control which I clearly have very little of?

Have a great day all.

StewardsEnquiry · 02/03/2016 17:09

9st 13 today. I don't want to get any heavier. I am feeling really hungry this week - just trying to resist snacking until dinner time at the moment. I had an enormous lunch, too.

StewardsEnquiry · 02/03/2016 17:50

Hi Dragons - I sometimes just make a plan that I am not going to eat until a certain time, and I can usually stick to that plan. So yes, willpower, but also making a conscious decision.

Thankfulforeveryday · 02/03/2016 18:12

I struggle with snacking dragons, I know I am powerless when I start thinking about it so I try and eat the pots of sugar free jelly as they are only 2 cals each. Or make some popcorn, as that's quite low too and keeps my fingers busy. Or have an options hot chocolate to ease my sweet cravings.

Not that I practiced that advice today, had some bad news today that a friend had died, Sadall very sad so rammed some fudge in my face. I hope I haven't done to much damage but they way I feel right now I don't really care!

Must i feel your pain I had two weeks of no loss after slogging it out in the gym too, sometimes there is just no reason! Confused but keep plugging away.

dragonsarebest · 02/03/2016 18:44

Stewards that sounds smart. I shall try that tomorrow, thanks.

Thankful I am so sorry Flowers

wispaxmas · 02/03/2016 20:58

Mustbe, are you due on by any chance? You could just be retaining water due to hormones.

I weighed in at 0.2kg MORE than last week.. But AF is due tomorrow, so I know it's just bloating. Fitbit reckons I have burned 9000 calories more than I consumed, so if that's accurate I should have burned off 2.5 lbs of fat. I know bodies it might not be all that straightforward, but I'm focusing on that instead of the gain.

Also checked my body fat % and it's at 30.8%.. Hoping if I see another gain in total weight I'll at least see the % going down.

wispaxmas · 02/03/2016 21:00

Thankful, I'm so sorry for your loss Thanks

Bathsheba3 · 03/03/2016 10:59

Hello everyone. Just a quick visit - will pop back later... I'm still in the 12s, sigh, but lost another .75 lb since I last reported in.

Bathsheba3 · 03/03/2016 11:00

so sorry Thankful. more Flowers. Very sad.

JontyDoggle37 · 03/03/2016 11:30

Morning (just)
Thankful I'm sorry for your loss, all bets are off diet-wise at times like that.
I have not managed to get my eating under control yet this week, have not been looking after myself in general, prioritising other things instead and now paying the pice being over tired, putting on weight and feeling bad physically and emotionally.
Ah, enough of the pity crap. I've planned all food for today. And by the time I've done horse exercise again tonight I will have walked for forty minutes today. It's a start.

Bathsheba3 · 03/03/2016 15:12

sorry to hear you are running a bit under par Jonty. You do so much. Can you just stop, for an hour, GUILT FREE, and sit and rest today? You never seem to stop, and it is a big thing to lay-on a christening on top of all of your other commitments.

JontyDoggle37 · 03/03/2016 20:28

Bath you must have bat-signalled me, I just clicked on here to have a read because I've actually sat down to eat some melon, read Mumsnet and do NOTHING ELSE for half an hour 😄

Bathsheba3 · 03/03/2016 20:46

Hurrah! Feet-up too I hope Jonty!

I've had a surprisingly great day food wise: Poached egg on seeded toast breast, chicken salad for lunch, 2 mango slices snack, and prawn salad for tea. Wouldn't normally do 2 x salad, but DC's & DH had pizza and I couldn't be bothered to cook anything else for me. I am on a glass of wine now, but no other sugar.

Took myself on an hour's proper power walk with the dog today, rather than a token amble. The sun was shining, and I had a real spring in my step. I so hope the positive me is coming back rather than the anxious/depressed person who I seem to have turned into. Fingers crossed !!

Bathsheba3 · 03/03/2016 20:47

toast breast? I'm sure that should read chicken breast, or just plain chicken !!

wispaxmas · 03/03/2016 21:10

Had Byron burger for lunch today, salad for dinner. MFP has decided to change my daily calorie allowance from 1420 to 1390, even though my last weigh in went up 0.2kg. Oh well, I ended up eating a lot of my exercise calories today. Not terrible, still had a deficit of 500 calories apparently.

PandaBear30 · 03/03/2016 21:23

Thankful that's so sad, hope you're OK.

Jonty hope you've had a better day today.

Bath sounds like you had a really good day. Nothing better than a brisk walk on a sunny day to lift your spirits.

I've had an OK couple of days. Generally having porridge (made with water and a splash of milk) and fruit for breakfast, huge bowl of soup for lunch and a much smaller portion of what we'd normally have for dinner and quite often finish the day with a highlights hot chocolate. Coming in at between 1200 and 1500 a day.

There are so many on this board that have had big losses. Would love to hear your success stories. Really helps people like me who are starting out to know that a 2, 3 even 4 stone loss is achievable.

Bathsheba3 · 04/03/2016 08:07

Another 1 lb off, so that is 4 lbs since Monday 24th Feb. Next loss I'll be back to the 11's.

Feeling so more positive in myself. Long may it last this time Smile. And another sunny morning.

Panda - there are some amazing success stories on here.

I started out at 13 stone 4 I think (could be higher!) probably a year ago. Lost 1 1/2 stone "easily" Wink by the summer, felt great. Got down to 11 st 8 I think, but have yo-yo'd since then. For me the weightloss is in the mind - if I'm feeling positive, I feel energised, happy, buzzy, and totally in control of my weight loss, and don't feel like I'm missing out.

Sadly though, "life" stuff exists, and can get me really down. Then it can feel like an utter downward spiral. I keep coming back here to this lovely supportive thread when I can.

I am determined again now though. 1st goal is 11 stone 7. Then to the 10's.

have a great day everyone!

MustBeThin · 04/03/2016 08:34

Sorry just a quick check in.

Well 13 days and I still haven't lost anything Sad I don't know whats wrong I'm doing everything exactly the same as I've been doing since 4th Jan still weighing/logging religiously trying to drink more water and I've just stopped losing anything.
At the min I feel like I'm going to be stuck eating 1200 cals for the rest of my life to stay 12st 7, if I don't lose anything before my next period I will end up gaining because I always do and them I'm going to feel like it's not going to come back off and I won't have even lost a stone anymore. Sad

I wouldn't feel so upset if I'd actually given myself an excuse not to lose weight by eating out or stuffing in chocolate cake but I've not been doing any of it.

StewardsEnquiry · 04/03/2016 08:53

Thankful - take care of yourself.

Jonty - you are having a tough month. Hope things improve.

Bath - love the power walking in the sunshine!

Wispa - love those burgers. Might have to get me one of those this weekend!

Panda - you are doing great. Just keep doing what you are doing.

I have not been having a great week food wise. I have been feeling absolutely starving and eating 200-300 over my allowance every day. My body hasn't realised yet and my weight is maintaining at 9st 12 but I can't carry on like this or I will be in for a nasty shock on the scales sooner or later.

Emz449 · 04/03/2016 17:39

Just popping by to say hello waves, welcome to all the new people!

Sorry to hear of your loss Thankful Flowers i hope you're ok

Congratulations on your news Smillas

Have had an awful week! Up a few pounds to 9 stone 9 but still within my happy bracket. My weekend with my sister and friends included going out for every meal and i just haven't managed to shake that eat everything feeling. My throat infection has also returned annoyingly. But i'm going to be batch cooking chilli con carne, mexican chicken stew and this low carb nacho chicken casserole this week so i'll have an assortment of meals to choose from. Nothing planned this weekend thankfully but next weekend i have a work night out i'd like to look good for so will be good all this week.

I hope everyones ok!
