I need to lose 3.5 stone - feel so fed up about it I am ignoring the mince pies and Thornton's chocolates! I have lost weight before with a great bunch of ladies on mn. I feel motivated to do the same again and this time keep it off, I went through my wardrobe and found a very stylish tunic I bought in the South of France that I wore once before gaining weight.

Whatever your approach - low carb, Weight Watchers, Slimmers World or healthy eating, all welcome to join me with motivational tips/chat to keep each other going. I find that I don't stick to any plan and eating at meals times/snack on veg and fruit/exercise works for me.

Look forward to chatting with whoever wants to join Smile

DP and I actually have a bit of free money this month and he has a rare Saturday off so we're going out tomorrow. This will involve lunch, coffee and cake and probably a nice dinner. I refuse to stress about it too much. I've been 100% on plan for a while now, I'll go to the gym in the morning, I'll enjoy a nice day with some nice food and then I'll be right back on the wagon on Sunday.

We've put in a massive Muscle Food order which will be arriving on Tuesday so we'll have enough lean meat to feed us for weeks. No excuse not to cook then.

helenahandbag · 15/01/2016 12:36

DP and I watched about cheat days and the reality of how they affect your body. It's really interesting and it's a major part of why I'm not worried about tomorrow's food!

LovelyFriend · 15/01/2016 12:36

helena if it has senna leaf then it will work. But take at night before going to sleep. In the meantime drink loads of water - you must be starting to feel dreadful!

helenahandbag · 15/01/2016 12:40

To be honest, I spend probably two weeks of every month feeling like this, it's a chronic issue that I can't seem to fix. The GP can't find anything wrong with me and my bloods came back "perfect" last month, everything is either where it should be or better.

I just have to eat enough fats, fruit and veg, keep active and take Fybogel as needed. If all else fails, go for a run. Runners Trots always gets results Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/01/2016 16:04

Well done on losses

I feel totally crap.

I have gained a lb but also think it's due to drugs. Did ivf again - 3rd private go

It's failed :(

Just so very :( at the moment

helenahandbag · 15/01/2016 16:16

I'm so sorry to hear that Blondes. Be gentle with yourself just now.

Kim82 · 15/01/2016 16:34

I'm so sorry Blondes. As Helena said, go easy on yourself.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/01/2016 16:52

Ah B, I'm so sorry, what a fucking cruel place this world can be, huge gentle hugs for you and G, and remember up there the ? That.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/01/2016 16:53

MABS - You been to the docs?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/01/2016 16:55

Kim Tomorrow is another day, remember it is how we move on from trip ups that's important. They will happen to everyone over time.

In the words of Frozen

Let it go, let it gowwwwwwwwwwwww

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/01/2016 16:59

Lovely losses losers, well done, such a joyful sight innit?

I have very little energy today, just back from the gym and legs of lead, I did do my hour of cardio, but the first 20 mins was weep worthy.

Enjoy the day helena

Plodding on with you LF

But OH, I get gin today!! Been 'dry' this week, booze at weekends. And Friday is definitely the weekend. Huzzah!!

prettybird · 15/01/2016 17:16

Another 2lb loss today, bringing the total to date to 5lb (since last Tuesday): 13stone 13lb to 13stone 8lb Smile

Feeling virtuous as I avoided carbs when out for a meal last night (gave my frites to dh) and gave away a free cake today (part of my John Lewis "cake and a drink voucher) to a random stranger in front of me in the queue Smile. Turned out she wasn't that random - she'd temped at the company I used to work at (and I used to work regularly with her boss). That was coincidence enough - and then we realised that she used to work for my dh 13 years ago (again a temp but for quite a while) Shock

I'll read the thread properly when I'm back on a PC - but congratulations to all the losers.

GettinTrimmer · 15/01/2016 17:22

Blondes sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself xxx

Notsoskinnyminny · 15/01/2016 17:22

I'm reweighing tomorrow as I didn't like this morning's numbers but what can I expect when I've had wine, lasagne and chocolates - the only thing I haven't had is crisps. I'm also blaming my hormones as after a scare in October I'm now on HRT and the mini-pill while they decide what stage I'm at. The look on DHs face when I told him the consultant had put me on the pill as a precaution was priceless but I need to read the information for both because I'm sure I should've had a bleed by now .....

MABS hope you get over it quickly, everyone I know has had it/got it. DH is still coughing wish he'd sod off to the spare room so I can have a decent night's sleep and sounds like he's smoked 60 a day for 40 yrs.

Kim we all have bad days so put it behind you and start again tomorrow

Helena my morning bpc (black coffee with coconut oil and butter) keeps me regular.

Pistey I'd have had to ask for the autograph as the plane was landing, at least if he said no there wouldn't be much time for embarrassment. I bet when celebs aren't asked outright they're either thinking c'mon, get it over and done with or do you not know who I am

GettinTrimmer · 15/01/2016 17:33

Piste will tell you there's an official term 'getting the munchies' Kim! Time to pull back before next wi?

No exercise for me today, also going out for dinner. Im having cheese and biscuits!

Well done to all losers today

Notsoskinnyminny · 15/01/2016 18:49

Blondes sorry your treatment didn't work again, I completely missed your post, and apologies for my insensitive comment. I had 3 late m/cs before I finally had my DCs (after being told I'd never carry to term) and can still remember how hard, and unfair, another disappointment felt Flowers

Error404usernamenotfound · 15/01/2016 19:33

I'm so sorry Blondes Flowers

MABS, hope you feel better soon

Kim, one binge won't make much difference, unless it makes you fall off the wagon completely by going 'sod it, the diet's ruined'. Hope the tuna salad was tasty Smile

Trying to motivate myself to study, but just want to sleeeeep.....

helenahandbag · 15/01/2016 20:48

notso

I love BPC but I never have it unless I'm low carbing. I might start having it again if it helps!

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 15/01/2016 21:47

I'm so sorry for you, Blondes.

GBBO15 · 16/01/2016 02:15

Blondes, I'm so sorry to hear this, I hope you're ok.

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 16/01/2016 07:54

Weigh in day here & lb down. Given last week's lack of exercise & the fruit toast & chocolates I ate last night, I'm relieved to have lost anything! Really need to stay on the wagon for the next fortnight & lose another 3lbs.
I hope all of those who have treats lined up for this weekend enjoy all of their yummy food.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/01/2016 08:51

Morning check in with my slinky chums Brew

How are you this morn lovely MABS ?

Skinny DH had been bumped up to first so not directly next, and i KNOW, I couldn't not, but sometimes you just can't. He sat next to James Corden on a trip out and just wanted to chat to him, but didn't. Agony!

Getting the munchies - what a pain they are, if we eat too early then blimey they hit hard in the evening! Satsumas don't really help either sadly Sad

Kim crack on love, it's a new day today.

Error How did you get on?

Helena I cannot even bring myself to try BPC - the very thought makes me feel queasy, maybe I should just to know?!

ThatsNot and Pretty - Good losses, well done you!

GBB - How was sleep last night?

Trim Hope you had fun

I'm feeling chuffed I'll not deny, we had takeaway last night, curry as DH going back to San Fran, another bastard trip, but this morn I am the same weight as yesterday, so thats something. And I had gin as it is the weekend. So happy days.

Keep warm everyone, fecking frizzzzzzzzzzzzin here today

xx

TheVeryThing · 16/01/2016 09:27

So sorry to hear that, blondes, hope you are being kind to yourself.
Well done to all the losers.
I had a blowout day yesterday too, kim, will have to do better today, just as well weigh in isn't until Monday.
Enjoy.your day out, helena

Error404usernamenotfound · 16/01/2016 09:29

Mornin'!

Well done on the losses, Thatsnot and Pretty Smile

Pistey, not well, I'm afraid; have gained 0.6lb this week, but it's TOTM, which might go some way to explaining it. That, and not sticking to my eating plan, of course...

Feel a bit less shattered today; DD is feeling better, although still a bit restless at night, so I must suck it up and get some study done. Lovely DH has given me as much time as I need over the weekend, so I am just popping in here before burying my nose in a book for most of the day.

Have a good day, all!

ThatsNotMyHouseItIsTooClean · 16/01/2016 10:38

First rule of dieting - do not use your body as a dustbin. For breakfast this morning I had some hideous high sugar cereal that I'd bought as a Christmas treat but none of us liked. I couldn't bring myself to throw it away so ate some this morning. What a waste of calories! To top it off, I then ate some of DS' cold, leftover crumpet.
