Sorry if stepping on toes. But couldn't see another thread. Anybody want to join me? I guess the idea is that some weeks you loose a bit more and some weeks you gain but aiming for 1lb a week sounds good to me.

You are all doing so well. I've barely moved today, my DD has been playing on her own while I wallow on the sofa. Stinking cold has escalated and I didn't manage to do exercise this morning, barely managed to drag myself out of bed!
I really need to kickstarted my weight loss once I'm feeling better so going to start calorie counting on mfp again I think, it tends to work for a little while before I get bored!

Rinceoir · 01/02/2016 16:01

Thanks nantucket, I'm delighted. Not finding it too bad at the moment. Super I use mfp as well, find it really good. Although you have to double check some of the calorie counts, I couldn't figure why some of my recipes we so high cal until I realised it was counting a clove of garlic at 1880!

superbfairywren · 01/02/2016 18:10

Haha, yep rinceoir, some of the items on mfp are way off! I always find it easy tolog all my intake for a few weeks and then get out of the habit or am too busy. I managed about two months at the end of last year but stopped over Christmas. Going to start again today and try to keep below 1500calories, preferably 1300.

d270r0 · 01/02/2016 20:00

Well done, some really good going!
I have decided to change my weigh in day to Friday. I work on Mondays and can't find time in the morning to do it as it is a mad rush to get my kids and myself ready and out the house by 7.30! But Fridays I have off so its a better time for me.
I've been very strict again since Saturday so tgink I have probably at least counteracted all the extra food I ate by now and hopefully will be losing again. I have ages left to go before I turn to overweight instead of obese :(

NantucketNightbird · 04/02/2016 21:36

How is everyone doing? Still feeling positive here but feeling very bloated. Totm next week so could be that.

Nantucket I'm in the same boat. I'm feeling irritable too. Have family staying, and am at work full time so I'm finding cooking for them while restricting myself hard going.

madwomanbackintheattic · 06/02/2016 02:08

Not been on this week as dh away with work and have literally been on the go all week. I did weigh on Monday and had put on a pound a half after eating birthday cake literally all last week, so unsurprising - will be interested to see whether it has gone next Monday!
As for now, it's Friday night and I do not have to go out again! yeehaw. Finally. Every other night I have been ferrying kids left, right and centre until 10pm, so feeling harassed and sorry for myself, and sleep deprived as I never sleep when dh is away. Fitbit tells me I am averaging 4 hrs 7 minutes sleep this week, although the longest apparently is 4hrs 23 I'm sure I read somewhere that in order to lose weight properly you had to get good sleep. Sigh.
I did get a reminder for the 5k I'm due to run though, so a timely reminder to get a grip!! SIL has just started c25k. I suspect it would irritate the life out of me - has anyone managed to get through the whole thing? I'd rather shred or something, but am worried about injury? I just don't know if I have the patience for c25...

Havalina1 · 06/02/2016 14:00

Hello ladies. Can I join? I'd decided to try this and didn't realise there's a thread doing the same!

I had a baby 4.5 months ago and two stone whooshed off with no effort but one stone is staying, grrrr. I had a terrible pregnancy and probably gained a little too much.

I'm 5.10 and am 153lbs. I want to be around 140ish... At least closer to 140 than 150.

Plan to drop a pound a week ... I'm breaking those bad habits of swiping a biscuit while making the first cup of tea of the day, and snacking on biscuits while I breastfeed.... So many new bad habits with baby! Too much eat n grab...

NantucketNightbird · 06/02/2016 16:46

Welcome Hav Smile you have done amazing even thinking of loosing weight so soon after having a baby, my youngest is 3 and I still haven't got back to pre baby weight.
So I shall have to abandon you all on weigh day Monday. DH usually has this day off and he takes me to boots but he's working so I shall be weighing first thing Tuesday to get my print off. Feeling very bloated even though I've been completely focused. Period is due middle of next week but I wish it would just turn up now.

Rinceoir · 06/02/2016 18:18

Welcome Hav, my DD is nearly 2 and I'm just starting to lose weight now, you are right doing it sooner! Nan- I got my period this morning and instantly feel less bloated. I'm on nights next week so am trying to meal plan now. Need meals that can be microwaved, and ideally are quick to make as fatigue erodes my enthusiasm for cooking.

NantucketNightbird · 06/02/2016 21:08

Rince, I never thought I would be jealous of someone having their period Grin. I just want this horrible bloated feeling to go.

Havalina1 · 06/02/2016 21:34

Thanks for the warm welcome! You are all doing so well! I'm in I'm in I'm in Smile

NantucketNightbird · 06/02/2016 21:52

That's great Hav, what day are you planning on weighing?

OP posts:
NantucketNightbird · 08/02/2016 07:57

Good luck to anyone weighing today. I will be going down boots tomorrow morning but will be back to Mondays next week.
So my period turned up overnight yesterday and apart from cramps the bloat is better Smile
How is everyone doing?

Rinceoir · 08/02/2016 10:16

2lbs down. 15lbs in total since Jan 1st. Heading into 4 night shifts, and seem to have caught my DDs cold, so I'm aiming to maintain this week.

NantucketNightbird · 08/02/2016 12:26

Good going rince you are doing amazing. Can't wait until my weigh in tomorrow. Would love 2lb, will post my results as soon as I'm back.

OP posts:
Havalina1 · 08/02/2016 19:38

Was 153 lbs

Now 151.6lbs Smile

I want to get into the 40s!

Rinceoir · 08/02/2016 20:13

Well done Hav! I'm really very large at the moment, too embarrassed to post my current weight but have about 4 stone left to lose to get to a comfortable weight, and ideally 5 to give me some wiggle room!

Rinceoir · 08/02/2016 20:17

Have managed to eat only 600cals since I got up at 7am, and have packed 700 cals worth of food for my long night shift. I can never sleep before the first one, but I did make a huge chicken and lentil stew for tonight and tomorrow night and will hopefully sleep most of day tomorrow, grab an hour or so with my lovely toddler before heading in to work again. It's only 4 nights at least..

WontLetThoseRobotsDefeatMe · 08/02/2016 20:28

I've been stalking you all but I'm on board. I'm in kgs as that's what the nurse did - 80kg on Jan 1st down to 74kg this evening. Very happy 😆 now to keep it up!

NantucketNightbird · 08/02/2016 21:01

Great to see lots of new people joining us Smile
My head is pounding after a rough night with the cats, it was like having newborn triplets they were crying all night Grin.
Who is having pancakes tomorrow?

OP posts:
Havalina1 · 08/02/2016 21:21

Rinceoir, you are well organised! That's the key to it all!

I just ate 3 m&s pancakes toasted in desperation. I skipped dinner as my lo had eaten elsewhere and was suddenly starving. Could be worse I suppose but I want to stay on course now. I want the baby weight gone by summer!

5lbs! I can't really believe it but I haven't had any chocolate etc. I could possibly be seeing my weight starting with an 11 next week.
