Whole 30

Anyone starting this?

I've got the weekend to prepare (mentally!!) and then officially start on Monday.

Anybody care to join?

I'm halfway through! It feels so much more normal now. I have batch cooked a lot which is making things easier. Wish DH would join me though as we are all having different meals.

I think buying the Whole30 recipe book and the Nom Nom Paleo recipe book has helped enormously as I would never have thought of those meals.

I am planning on doing the 10 day reintroduction plan that they set out (trying something eg. grains for a day then the Whole 30 for 2 days to see if any ill effects). I actually don't miss anything, just the convenience of processed food.

I cheated and weighed myself. 8lbs in 2 weeks which I'm chuffed about but reckon just stopping the daily wine habit has been responsible for that! I can't imagine losing much more over the next fortnight.

Hope the rest of you are doing okay. Has anyone finished?

Well I'm done! 6lb lost and feel good. Despite being ill I have stuck to it. Other than weight loss I feel like my waist is more defined and I have more energy. I have been running and have been really motivated. I have also seen how I can manage without snacks when I get my meals right. I am more aware of what I eat and can be more objective about diet tweaks to get me below 10stone!

I am having a treat meal tonight and out tomorrow for a few drinks but I think I am going to stick with it as much as possible. Hopfully 90% with treats in there.

How do you feel at the end?
