Paul McKenna Can Make Us Thin! Thread Number 14 ~ A Simple Title, for Simple Weight Loss and All amongst Friends!!

Welcome to thread 14 of the Paul McKenna's I Can Make You Thin weight loss system.

The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded friendly support system are:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
  4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. After all, eating a meal is not a competition, it's about enjoying what you are putting into your mouth and body, but not feeling bloated and uncomfortable (or guilty) afterwards!
Many people have issues around food. Many of us have been brought up by the 'clear your plate' parents of yesteryear which leave us feeling guilty if we leave even the smallest morsel of food, but we are working through this guilt or any other hang up we may have, and we are learning to leave a bit on the plate; return to it another time if we really want to or even feed it to the dog or the bin!
So!! forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!! Let's get lighter for those summer outfits!!

The Paul McKenna system really works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

You don't have to buy the book and CD, but we have found that they do help and somehow they keep you on track, so it would probably be a good investment and will cost you far less than a couple of trips to WW or SW meetings, so do consider having them in your life.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry and that is a great way to feel when you are dropping dress sizes at the same time!!! so come on in and start living your new life today and make 2014 your year to drop a dress size or several...if we can get those lbs off a few at a time, just think how we could look and feel for the sunny summer time!!!
Some of our thread members are also doing PMK's Virtual Gastric Band and although this thread is not about this avenue, we will still be supportive of our friends partaking of this, so don't think we won't be there for you. I'm pretty sure that the Golden Rules will be just as helpful in this process as the I Can Make You Thin process Smile so get stuck in Smile

Here is a link to Freedom From Emotional Eating which may give some insight into why we do this and help us beat it.

Oh me too! I'm the only person that listens to me! Grin

I had a proper tea party today and it was wonderful!

Now I'm going to lose weight.

O how lovely. I love a tea party. Did you have little sandwiches and crisps, jelly, and cupcakes too. So glad you had a good time. You will now be 50 and fab Grin. Do you have an occasion coming up this year that you want to look fab for Solo?

Solo · 23/03/2014 09:47

We had finger sandwiches, scones with butter, jam and clotted cream (I didn't have butter!!) and cakes. Copious pots of tea and coffee and hot chocolate for those heathens that were not tea drinkers.

I have a wedding coming up in about 5 weeks! would be very glad to lose 10-14lbs by then. I'm also planning a proper party for my 50th Grin too in about 3 months time. If I put my mind to it, I could be 30lb lighter in 15 weeks...

Solo I don't want to spend another Summer covering up. Like you I am 5 9 and size 16 at the moment. Not too bad really . I am an hourglass so very curvy but want to lose at least a stone by June, two would be great.

ALittleFaith · 23/03/2014 11:00

Happy belated birthday solo! That day sounds wonderful :)

Iggi101 · 23/03/2014 11:32

I am averting my eyes in shops to avoid the "get your bikini body" type magazine covers. Happy birthday too Solo, and hope this is your best year yet Smile
I have a family event I'd love to be thinner for, but it's in two weeks so dramatic change isn't possible - still, I've been hovering around 14st for some time (was 15 after having ds2 so still right direction if I'm trying to be positive) and even losing 2 lbs so that I was definitely below 14 would mentally be very nice. Right, I am away off mumsnet - one dc napping, other lost in minecraft - to read the sabotage chapter in FEE and also do the exercise. Hope you all have a ovely day and only eat lovely food Wink

Solo · 23/03/2014 12:09

:) Thank you all.

I will tell you all that if you like eggs; starting the day with a couple of eggs can really give you a weight loss boost. I told someone 10 days ago and she lost 9lbs in a week. I know it helps, so I think I might just do it too. 2 egg omelette for breakfast each day...so Iggi you could actually make a big difference there.
Milly I too have an hourglass figure; very curvy.

I agree about the eggs. If I start the day with say toast and salty welsh butter and apricot jam then I feel peckish throughout the day and have a bit of nut chocolate and stuff here and there whereas if I have scrambled eggs for breakfast with half a slice of toast and butter then I feel fuller for most of the day. I have only noticed that in the last couple of weeks though so interesting that you have said the same Solo. I also find that having protein with every meal definitely helps to keep me in the "satisfied" mode much longer than any meal with out it.

Iggi101 · 23/03/2014 13:12

Am off to boil an egg...
