And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

Just done shred. Water on the go. Still feeling positive. :)

How are you all today?

Bananas are good eighty.

Well done Hair.

Did most of Shred yesterday (interrupted by delivery of bed for DD).

Trying to crack on with this writing up I'm doing, and as always sitting at the computer makes me ravenous! I think it's just habit and restlessness really. Am trying getting up every so often and doing some star jumps (working from home, so no witnesses!) / drinking a glass of water/ anything I can think of to try to get my brain to work and improve my concentration.

Reastie · 25/02/2014 16:05

Hi all,

Things alright here, but not doing my insanity as bit weedy as getting a cold and just want to rest. Will do it when DD has her first nursery session on Thursday instead as will need something to take my mind off being nervous for her.

if love the star jumps thing. Sometimes in the evenings at home I do a few press ups and plank it as long as I can manage just to feel like I've done something. It all adds up.

KatoPotato · 25/02/2014 16:24

It all adds up indeed. window sills are great for impromptu tricep dips!

ifandwhen · 25/02/2014 17:23

Love it, Kato and Reastie. Any more stealth fitness tips?!

Reastie · 25/02/2014 17:45

I don't use window sills (mine aren't strong enough!) I use the end of the bed or a chair. I also give DD flying angels (no idea if you know what I'm on about!) which makes her squeal with excitement and I lift her up and down to workout my legs! Wouldn't work if you had an older DD though Wink

Reastie · 25/02/2014 17:51

flying angel (only dd just collapses her body onto my thighs so I can lift and lower her weight!

Also remembered I also put each hand on 2 work surfaces close together in the kitchen and use my arms to lift my body up and just swing around for a few seconds taking my body weights on my arms Grin

I just had a chocolate

TheOneWithTheHair · 25/02/2014 18:54

I still do flying angels with ds1. He's 17 but built like a twig. Grin

I do squats to load and unload the dishwasher. That's my added home exercise tip. And I still run up the stairs once for every bit of junk mail that comes through the door.

Good grief hair you must be strong!

TheOneWithTheHair · 25/02/2014 19:21

No really, he weighs about 5st.

OP posts:
TheOneWithTheHair · 25/02/2014 19:22

And I can only do 2.

OP posts:
Reastie · 25/02/2014 19:43

redid my photos on the spreadsheet, sorry my head is cut off the clown trouser photo, my arms are too short for selfies!

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/02/2014 12:00

Can someone tell me when it stops hurting please?!

My calves, stomach and ribs are killing me. Damn you Shred!!

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/02/2014 12:01

Well done yesterday eighty! Great going.

Reastie · 26/02/2014 15:18

IMST fabulous picture. Btw saw on your fb page about the 11+, what an amazing gig! How did you get that?

Hair you'll learn to love the pain. Promise!

Not too bad today so far . Weighed this morning and looking towards a 1lb gain though. Am trying to be laid back about it and in the grand scheme of things it's not bad. Just have to make sure it doesn't creep up.

It's DDs first day proper at nursery tomorrow. I'm so nervous! Any words of wisdom?

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/02/2014 16:02

reastie if the lb is a one off then don't worry about it. It won't undo your hard work.

Words of wisdom - relax! If you are relaxed and excited, she will be too. If you are anxious, she'll pick up on it.

Good luck. :)

I'm off to the theatre with ds1 tonight to see a play about a gay football fan. It should be interesting, right? Hmm

OP posts:
TheOneWithTheHair · 26/02/2014 16:03

Oh, and I'm not sure I'll get used to the pain. If I feel like this for the next few weeks I'm blaming you lot! Grin

Reastie, I'm sure the settle will be fine, just try to relax as much as you can.
The 11+ job was a bit random actually, my publisher sent out samples of some stories from my book to her storytelling club, and one of the occasional listeners owns a local tutoring company.
She liked the style of writing and they were just discussing finding ways to get copyright-free text for the new style of 11+ papers needed.
Huge piece of coincidence, timing and blarney really!

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/02/2014 21:39

And talent! She would have passed right over it if you didn't have talent!

OP posts:
Reastie · 27/02/2014 07:14

IMST that's fab, so do you have to write something especially for it or are they pinching a bit from one of your books? Btw you sound ver professional writer-ish having a publisher to send out samples Grin

DDs nursery day today . DD is the only one in her ballet class who refuses to do anything without holding hands with me and me doing it too (lucky me Hmm ) so who knows how it will go.

Was thinking of stealth this morning. How are things going?

Hair how was the theatre? interesting plot line.

Eighty did you get the batteries in and weigh?

Reastie · 27/02/2014 07:19

Eighty forgot to ask, how are things at nursery now? Have they settled down?
