And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

Well I finally got out and ran!! My first attempt since the podcast/asda debacle of 2012...

Went out with seasoned friend. Did just under 6k in 45 mins. Ran the whole way. Got a stitch, ran through it. I have blisters and curly hair, it rained... I loved it!!!

Wow, kato you must be fit to run like that for the first time! Btw does your stitch not get worse when you run through it? Envy this is my main problem with running, I always get stitch and it gets worse as I run.

Thanks for the cake compliments [proud] . Have also iced biscuits with 'eat me' and 'drink me' and clock faces. Going with the wonderland theme Grin

eighty you don't live near me do you? [hopeful] . I'm in SE. I could pay you to take my dress in [cheeky]

Feel like I'm not doing great at the minute again , it's the chocolate causing problems.

Not so handy for me no eighty Grin

This week end has NOT been good on the food front. I've been really hungry all day today and eaten far more than I should have, I estimate well over 2000 kcals even after MFP takes into consideration exercise . Am really tempted to buy one of those heart rate thingys that tells you how many calories you burn when exercising etc so I can realistically see how much I burn to make me feel better (I hope!) about stuff.

Either it's my hormones making me hungry (which happens) or I'm coming down with something as that's usually the source of such a bottomless pit hunger day. Have done insanity yesterday and today in the hope it helps make up a little for over eating but weighed myself this morning and looks like I may have put on 1 lb Confused . Hoping it's a daily glitch and back to normal tomorrow. Feeling like I don't deserve to be where I am though and I so don't want to undo all of my hard work. Each lb takes so much work and so long to come off now. Sorry, this is completely self indulgent but just feeling a bit down about the crap that has been consumed.

TheOneWithTheHair · 24/02/2014 09:14

Good morning all. Sorry I've been so absent. I've been struggling a bit and been terrible with eating. I've found it hard since we started really.

Today I feel properly motivated and determined. I will keep it up now. I put on 3lbs since I last weighed and that is the first goal for me. I feel like I've drawn a line under the last few weeks and I'm starting again.

How are you all feeling today?

OP posts:
ifandwhen · 24/02/2014 09:27

Reastie - sorry to hear you feeling down, but it is helpful to hear, because you raise some things which I also struggle with and have been wondering about - whether it is harder to lose weight the lower your weight is, and how to cope with the sort of self-judgemental side of managing my weight/ diet/ approach to food.

You won't undo your amazing achievements by the odd dodgy week, but I can sympathise as I also find it hard to trust in that.

Now, onward and upward/downward! Smile

InMySpareTime · 24/02/2014 10:04

I'm back to 8st 7, didn't dare weigh myself last week after gang Show week and the cake bonanza, but I'm back on track now at a weight I can comfortably maintain.
Took a clown trouser photo this morning for FB, my old clothes really do look ridiculous now! I'll try to put it on the spreadsheet later.

Morning guys. Also hanging my head a bit. I've really lost it with snacking. I do all this great exercise, then undo it all eating shite. Sorry but it's true.

It's like I just can't lose anything but I'm not trying nearly hard enough to not put nonsense in my mouth.

2lbs on. No excuses, I've been rubbish.

eighty that could be a genius idea. Especially as I post from my phone a lot so it would be easy to get it out of my pocket.

So much of this is a mental challenge. I think that's what makes it so hard.

I've just done Shred again and still feel motivated. I'm doing Hairy Dieter's risotto for dinner and I'm looking forward to it. It doesn't seem like diet food.

Who else was meant to be doing Shred? How are you finding it?

OP posts:
ifandwhen · 24/02/2014 11:06

Ahem, yes that was me (Shred). Off to do it right away, Hair! Will check back in after that....

Eighty- that is a great plan! I'm in!

I really appreciated the kick up the backside the other week, and will gladly administer kicks where called for in return Smile. I seem to be 1 lb down this week, which brings me back into a healthy BMI - just! - so am pleased with that. And happy to share the credit with you all for keeping me on track!

KatoPotato · 24/02/2014 11:14

Excellent idea.

Okay, so belvita for breakfast - I was in a rush and I LUFFS them!

Got ryvita, laughing cow and chicken for lunch and two squares of lindt 85% in my drawer at work left.

Dinner is chicken and kale. Bodypump booked for 8pm.

What could possibly go wrong?

Good job If!

I need to retrain my habits too. I need to find my willpower again.

Belvita here too. Everyday.
Boiled egg and Matso crackers with Philadelphia Light.

Looks like we've all been struggling a little then. Oh well, at least it's not just me (that's a terrible bright side though isn't it!).

Kato Will pm you back but just to confirm is this the bit that's lost?

Wow, I've eaten more than you guys! So far today, I've had a bowl or oat muesli, nakd bar, banana, 2 x weight watchers cheese and lettuce pittas, some seeds, a low cal hot choc, caramel snack a jacks pack, marmite rice cakes pack, mushroom soup, piece of buckwheat bread (bit like rye bread), a couple of strawberries with a little yoghurt and a cube of 90% cocoa chocolate. And I'm not even done yet! What I've eaten today isn't that rubbishy but too many carbs I think looking at that.

if that's great.

1/2 lb on this week, but 1/2 lb doesn't count does it?! Well, I'm not counting it and hoping I'll be back on form next week.

IMST would love to see that piccie.

KatoPotato · 24/02/2014 18:59

It's this you need!

TheOneWithTheHair · 24/02/2014 19:09

1/2lb definitely doesn't count. I think we all needed a bit of a kick up the bum.

I did finally look on a proper computer at the photos on the ss. Reastie you really are half the woman you used to be! I think we are more or less the same height so you've really given me something to look forward to.

Kato you don't even look like the same person! You look at least a decade younger. What an fabulous body you have.

IMST's photos don't do her justice at all. She is so tiny now. She is in proportion though as she's a shorty.

I had a good mental breakthrough today. I need to drink more water so I've had a glass available all day. I was reaching for that instead of the coffee which I think has made me crave biscuits less. Win win.

You're too kind hair, Thankyou very much.

I agree about cutting on hot beverages. Tea equals biscuits to me! I've had no biscuits other than my belvitas!

TheOneWithTheHair · 24/02/2014 22:44

I gave in to a chocolate Hobnob. Just one though which is good for me!

All set for tomorrow. I have made a golden veg soup for lunch and sweet jacket potato for dinner. Hopefully that will see me through.

eighty could you have a banana to fill you up? Well done on resisting the jelly beans.
