And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

reastie I tend to crave and binge on stuff I'm not allowed iyswim. Could you give yourself a week where you eat all you want at any time and then more. I know it sounds counterproductive but when you log your weight you will realise that you don't really want so much of it and it's not worth it.

Also I don't get the precious question?

Kato mmmm biscuits!!!

Yes eighty I got a call from school drama teacher today and she is completely backing me up, whilst letting me know she'd love to teach dd.

Meeting at 9:30 tomorrow with head to find out exactly what he wants from dd. Also I'm really annoyed now, after thinking about it at the weekend, that he approached dd directly.

Hair I thought you were feeling precious yesterday after a night out, or have I got really confused? I'm not sure eating as much as I like would get it out of my system...it tends to just increase my capacity for how much I want Confused . I'm debating giving it up for lent (although not religious) just to see how I go and then chocolate binge at easter as I reckon if I give it up completely I might not miss it [hopeful] after a while.

eighty I'd say 2 ;bs in 4 weeks is long term healthy amount to lose.

Because the school drama teacher teaches privately but dd already has a wonderful teacher that I don't want to change from.

Dd only started the school in September so this is all new.

I've it's read that back and I'm really sorry if that came across bluntly. I'm not very good at making sense written down. Blush

I'm sure it'll be fine anyway. Sorry for hijacking.

eighty, how did dd get on today?

OP posts:
TheOneWithTheHair · 10/02/2014 20:57

And yes reastie I'm less precious today. [grin

Maybe cold turkey is a good idea. Your body will hopefully stop craving chocolate then.

Hi everyone.
Kato I am seriously impressed at the amount of exercise you do!
Hair I get you and imst mixed up on here (not in real life). You both have names that are short phrases, this thread is easier as you are highlighted.
Reastie snurk at the photo of you in the big dress being too big to upload! Well done on more weight loss.

:)
Not too bad thanks. Not fully into it but hoping to start shred again on Friday and that will help motivate me

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/02/2014 21:19

Thanks eighty. Good to have mummy days. :)

Hi Stealth. I hope you are less manic at work now. It sounded really tough.

For the ones who've done Shred, can I have an honest opinion on how hard it is for a very unfit person (me) to do? My mum bought it for me before Christmas and it's still in the cellophane. Blush

Hair did my drunken demonstration of the shred while cramming cheesy chips into my mouth not give you enough of an idea?
If I can do it anyone can. Seriously

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/02/2014 21:55

Haha, I think I must have been drunk Stealth. I don't remember that at all! I'll ask IMST on Wednesday.

Thanks for the advice you two. Maybe I should stop being a coward about it. I really miss my bike though. :( It's too cold and wet for it atm.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 10/02/2014 22:02

When you do it bear in mind that after two weeks I looked just like Natalie.
Oh you've met me. Shit.

KatoPotato · 10/02/2014 22:14

hair going from doing no jumping jacks to any jumping jacks at all will be a new challenge for anyone, but the strength stuff is good and it's a great all-rounder really. I did find it harder to get the motivation to do it though, rather than just jumping down to a pre-booked class at the leisuredrome!

Bodypump tonight was good, I've missed it for weeks now! Glad to be back - but not glad to spot an anatomically graphic relief sweaty mark on my mat after chest track! - pure class!

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/02/2014 22:21

Don't worry Kato, sweating is good for you! Grin

Reastie · 11/02/2014 06:41

Hair I did shred whilst very unfit and found it hard. My young slim beautiful sister however borrowed my copy and first time did it twice through in one go Envy Shock . Level one is definitely doable and you will build up to level 3 as you increase in fitness.

TheOneWithTheHair · 11/02/2014 13:49

Right, I've made my mind up. Realistically speaking I am only going to do this straight after the school run, therefore tomorrow is the day. I will report back and if I haven't done it, feel free to harass me until I do. I need to do something.

OP posts:
KatoPotato · 11/02/2014 13:50

DH going to the cinema tonight so no gym for me... I might get the Shred on too!

ifandwhen · 11/02/2014 14:33

I also really rate Shred as a good, quick all-rounder. Go for it, you'll probably surprise yourself (in a good way I mean!).

But I also struggle to get round to actually doing it - post-school run slot sounds good, get some oxygen to my brain before I get down to work... Can't do it tomorrow though, will have to be Friday.
